I especially enjoyed the salmorejo (a similar dish to gazpacho) and the shrimp paella. Both were superb. The rice had a lot of taste, the taste of the shrimp was really upfront, truly enjoyable. The restaurant is beautiful, intimate and elegant. The service very knowledgeable and friendly. Nectari is a hidden gem, a place were food departs from tradition, but that is wisely enhanced with interesting product combinations, and not superfluous games of gastronomic experiments. I have to say the margaritas were some of the best I have had. Even in Mexico they weren't that good. The ambiance is energetic with great friendly service. This is what we ate: *Montjoy margarita - very good tequila, love the amount of salt on the rim, tasty. You will receive complimentary olives and toasted nuts that are yummy. *Baby mangoes on ice. Fresh and sweet. Where or how do you get baby mangoes? Simply delicious. *Guacamole and chips - the best guacamole I have ever tasted. So delicious and a beautiful presentation. The chips are hand made, crispy and perfectly salted. You may need to order more chips. Feel free to use your finger to get all of guacamole from the bowl as I did. Like eating poi out of the bowl. *Pizza Caesar - one of the specials for the night. A delicious and creative take on a Caesar salad on a tostada. Deliciouso! Love flavor profile and texture. Crispy tostada, finely chopped lettuce and flavorful cheese. *Fish taco - nicely composed and prepared. The sea bass fish is cut in cubes and is very tender, moist. Deliciouso! Another round please. *Chicken enchilada- divine! Love the heat! Nice and spicy green sauce. *Sea urchin - fresh! A bite of the ocean.

Barcelona has quite a few Michelin starred restaurants, and I'm slowly working my way through them…read more For my friend's birthday, I booked a lunch at aBaC. I'll be honest, the menu didn't immediately excite me and felt a bit underwhelming at first. That said, the execution completely won me over. Everything tasted far better than expected. Highlights/Memorable dishes: The onion, cheese, anchovy, and enzyme dish was deeply savory and full of umami. Their interpretation of onion soup was comforting yet refined, and the flavors worked perfectly together. The cured sea bream with mollusks, frozen hummus, and spring onion gazpachuelo with cilantro was another highlight. It was almost like a ceviche. The fish was incredibly tender, and I loved the mussels. Great! The squid with Roman style caviar was another hit! Think squid tartare topped with caviar. Simple and delicious! Naturally, my friend and I went all out and ordered a bottle of wine each. The service was exceptional, made even better by our attentive and very charming server (Mitsu?). He was funny and entertained our shenanigans lol. All in, I spent around $700 for two, including the $200 deposit required to secure the reservation. Overall, money well spent and a solid Michelin experience. I would definitely recommend it.

Plenty of space between tables. Service was perfect: polite, attentive, and plenty of people. The food was inspired. Every course was delicious and organized around regional influences. Several were fun, such as the deconstructed Caprese salad. An anchovy embedded in a thin slice of bread to resemble a fossil. The last dessert included a helium balloon. Other interesting touches included a candle made of butter, into which could be dipped the excellent rustic bread. The pacing of the courses was ideally timed. Wine pairings were excellent. I highly recommend ABaC. It's worth the expense.

I had the steak tournedos with yam soup and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. They gave me 3 kinds of butter and an hourglass precisely tuned to the amount of time it would take to steam my fish *at the table*. They used tweezers to garnish everything.
