Our neighbour initially hired a different contractor who charged over 5k to fix the roof, but a horrible job. They came back several times, but really had no clue how to fix it. We then had Craig at Allied Roofing come in and climb on the roof. He immediately knew what to do and offered a solid solution to repair and waterproof the roof including building a cricket to re-slope the roof and using SBS membrane with a torch, not just replacing shingles. Craig knows his craft and did an excellent job on our roof. They're not an big outfit nor have a shiny truck, but they're a reliable and dependable roofing contractor.

Kathy and Eric did a wonderful job communicating with me on when the job would begin. It took a day and a half, and the results were excellent. The crew was also very professional and did an amazing job on clean up. You really can't tell they were even here other than having a beautiful new roof. Recently asking a shingle replacement with Green Sky, when the sale person on site, I told him to…read morereplace the whole roof except the garage and front porch portion, the sale person saying it will be a 10 years workmanship warranty, before signing the agreement, everything is "yes" from the company, when the work start, they called me for extra payment because the sale person missed a portion of the roof in his estimation, I don't know how he missed while he was on site for the estimation, then after all the work done, they just issued a 1 year limited warranty to me, what they said is they only did a portion of my roof, so they can not give the warranty out, isn't it they have to fulfill the warranty for their work portion of for 10 year? this is a very bad experience for me with this company, very disappointed, I will for sure not recommend for this company

Hired Southern Roofing to do roof on both house and garage and new front and rear doors on house…read more The contractors they sent out to do the work were excellent (the only reason I did not give 0 stars) but if there is one thing I learned from having this work done is to get it in writing. First of all they dropped all the roofing supplies off about a week before they were to start, on our front lawn, the day we were leaving for vacation, you don't leave all that material on someone's front lawn and expect it to be there in a week, had to move it all into my garage. 2nd, we had asked for a new screen door for the back door and specifically asked for one as good or similar to what was on the front door which was close to top of the Anderson line, instead we got the cheapest screen door on the market, no kidding. Asked if when they did the roof could they attach the vent hose from bathroom as we had just installed a new fan, they said yes, they did not and charged us 400+ to come back and do it. Now the paint/finish is starting to peel from bottom of front door, on the outside, apparently the house was too humid for a couple of days and there is too much caulking on our windows??? Will never use them again, they do not give a rats ass about customer service.

Our insurance company only paid for a portion and offered horrible service but the owner at Southern Alberta came through like a knight in shining armour. Our roof was done quickly with little mess, (they came back and took care of any concerns I had). The fellows doing our roof were polite and careful. Later on we needed some extra work done in and around our home, again we got professional and quality work, any issues that came up were handled right away. I would suggest this smaller general contracting company for any of your needs, and they also have great experience dealing with insurance companies!

Despite repeated requests over several months, I was never provided with basic accounting documentation such as total revenue collected, supplier invoices, or a proper job costing report. Instead, only informal email summaries listing vendor names and amounts were sent. This dragged on for months without being resolved. Based on my experience, anyone considering working with or hiring this company should proceed with caution and ensure all terms, accounting, and documentation requirements are clearly defined in writing.

Very disappointed in their lack of communication and post-service support. Once they got paid, they seemed to lose all interest in customer care.
