I thought it was interesting that the Democratic Party stuff had sold out but the Republican Party stuff had not. By the time I got to the back of the store, I realized that the store only sold Republican Party stuff (also books and beer coozies). Which also explained the high prices for the clothes. Which is totally fine - a private business can sell whatever they want to whomever they want. And I exercised my prerogative as a consumer to take my dollars down the street to High Country Outfitters. America!

Target has some clothing but it has positioned itself as a multiple personality building by including with its home furnishings a grocery store and pharmacy, too. I can't understand why we people in a city the size of Athens still have to drive to Atlanta to shop at other national brand department stores, so it's good that Belks has stayed here. This Belk store has several of the popular and quality brands in SOME of its departments -but it seems to be more like an outlet store for Belks in the women's clothing departments -with lots of crowded sales racks.
