I've been shopping here regularly since 2016 and it's my favorite thrift store in Temecula. They have a great selection of vintage clothes and more on-trend pieces. Their employees are friendly and helpful and their prices are fair, especially considering the time saved by not having to wade through a bunch of off-trend clothing like at larger thrift stores. My family has went in twice to try to sell our clothes here. We take very good care of our clothes and shoes. My mother and I went in with 2 boxes full of shoes probably about 30 and 3 bags of clothes and they took 1 pair of shoes and 1 shirt and refused everything else. They say they want designer things only so why is there forever 21 in the shop? I'm confused. At this point I'm starting to feel as tho black peoples items are not worthy enough for them. There is just no way because there were barely worn clothes and shoes. And they also turned my step dad down as well with leather coats. I shopped here multiple times and liked it but my most recent visit on. 06/16/21 @5:55pm was uncomfortable the cashier watched my every move and asked to hold my items in front of everyone I just felt uncomfortable ,maybe racist maybe not but I will not be coming back ,oh well hopefully this helps some folks ,know what to expect. read more

Don't let the category fool you, they sell men's clothing here too. If you're not familiar with Urban Exchange, let me warn you that they sell used clothing here. The quality is leaps and bounds better than anything you'd find at the Salvation Army or Goodwill, but someone did wear it before you. Now speaking strictly for the men's offerings, there was just too much Billabong on the racks. I had no idea Billabong was that popular that people would buy so much of it. But I guess it isn't popular anymore because there's tons of it here. You won't really find any mid-level or high-end designers like Boss, Zegna or Tyrwhitt here. It's basic SoCal attire. My opinion of this place has drastically changed recently. I've been shopping here for months and have spent so much money. It is a little overpriced in my opinion, but it wasn't a big deal because I always found so many good things. Lately, I feel like the employees aren't as friendly, but still didn't let it bother me. Everything changed when I brought in a ton of clothes to sell and three employees were standing talking about personal stuff and they all 3 stopped and looked at me, so it was uncomfortable approaching them. A lot of stuff that i was trying to sell was bought directly from them. The offer was so low, it was completely unreasonable. One item was brand new and retails for $180, and they offered $14 for it LOL. I didn't expect for them to buy it from me anywhere close to $180, but i'm guessing they would sell it around $100 so maybe even $50ish for me. But $14?!?! I brought the clothes in folded neatly and they literally shoved everything back in the bag so it just didn't feel respectful towards my items. While I was shopping, I noticed clothes with defects but still being sold at higher prices. I have purchased a couple Lululemon workout pants from here around the $32 price range. There was a green pair of Lululemon leggings that had a hole in the front thigh and it was selling for $32. With them being a darker green, it was super obvious. Then I see Lululemon shorts that are made of legging material and there was so much puling between the legs, they looked really worn and the shorts were still selling for like $25 I believe? Just this whole experience of an incredibly low offer, the staffing, and then seeing items overpriced just really changed everything for me. I went a few weeks later to their monthly sale and just felt uninterested and I literally didn't buy a single thing. It's just not the same for me anymore. read more

Please don't waste your time on this place. Some clothes are really torn up and they're still expensive. You're better off going somewhere else and getting it brand new at pretty much the same price. I brought in two huge bags of all name brand clothes (all brands they sell) in good condition and the girl denied every single item. How? When there's clothes there in horrible condition. After lunch with friends I decided to stroll into Urban Exchange to look for a dress and browse. There were just 3 employees, myself and what I believe to be a lost prevention associate or just a very creepy older woman following my every move. I started looking through a rack in the front of the store in a tight corner which would be akward for two strangers to shop the surrounding racks.... but of course this strange woman gets right next to me! I go to another side of the area and there she is again! I found a dress I liked, grabbed it and headed to the very opposite side of the store. There was a dress rack on the back wall of the store. I felt someone staring at me, low and behold--- there she was, the creepy lady with darker hair and her flannel wrapped around her waist yet again! Complete opposite side of the store and here she is making a beeline for the rack I was shopping. So I turn and there is another rack, start shopping that one and suddenly she's interested in the rack I'm at--- no surprise right? Talk about creepy! I know this may not be everyone's experience here and I realize there could be a creep lurking anywhere but this was a bit intrusive and counter productive for business if this is how "loss prevention" operates. I had a dress in one hand and other hand was looking through clothes, so I was clearly there to pay for the items I liked not take them. I left quickly out of irritation from this woman following me. I called to ask if she was gone and told the little girl who answered the phone what had happened. She rudely said "so I guess we'll see you in a few since she is not here"... seriously that's all you can say with a sarcastic attitude like I was out of line for feeling swallowed whole by another patron (I still think she was loss prevention)? LOVE THIS STORE! It's funny how the only complaints are about people trying to sell to them. Seems like some people have some rejection issues. Shopping here is awesome! Everything is neatly organized by style and size. The clothes are all VERY nice and is great condition. I have found so many designer items for a few dollars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have NEVER come into the store and left empty-handed. I honestly cannot believe what a great deal I found on some of the most amazing wardrobe pieces I own. Terrible place to try and sell your name brand items. My stuff was all name brand, as new. DO NOT-waste your time. Sell your stuff on Ebay, Offerup, ect. This was my first time here and this review is for shopping in the store, not consignment; I have yet to try to consign anything with them, but I'll be back soon! My fiancé and I stopped in after having Father's Day lunch at the Italian place next door. From the store front, I thought it would be a 5-minute in-and-out kind of deal, but I think we ended up being there for a couple of hours! I immediately found a bunch of great dresses. There were even a few Ann Taylor dresses with the tags still on! Unfortunately those dresses were too big for me. But, I still left with five dresses, a belt, and a skirt -- all in great condition! I was really impressed with their selection of women's clothes. I didn't even get to look at the second half of the store because I found so many great items (my fiancé called them each of the dresses a "hard yes") so quickly. My fiancé also purchased two pairs of shoes and two sweaters. The women's section is definitely bigger than the men's, but it was nice that they have both. The prices are higher than thrift stores because this is not a thrift store -- it's a consignment store! I can't wait to try to sell things here. I love that they give you credit or cash up front, rather than having to wait to see if your items sell, like some other consignment shops. I just moved to the area and love thrifting. I had been in the goodwills and savers in the area but I was lucky to stumble into this hole in the wall. They have super cute pieces that you wouldn't find in a goodwill and they have reasonable prices! Tbh the way goodwill is pricing recently, I'd say it's about the same pricing minus the color of the week sales. The lady that was in while I was browsing was super helpful and super sweet! I love this place! To all of you complaining about getting too little for your items--maybe you shouldn't spend so much on them in the first place. If you're that hard up and upset about it, maybe you shouldn't be buying retail. Also, I've been in many times where people have been so rude to the people behind the counter. Having good customer service doesn't mean letting people run over you. Some of you just wanted full price for your USED CRAP. It's a resale shop. Profitability comes when the incoming dollars are higher than the outgoing. If they matched prices on tags they'd go out of business--especially with apps like Poshmark, Mercari, offerUp, etc. that sell NWT items. Also, people who go into a second hand store aren't willing to pay the same price as someone looking for a particular brand on EBAY. deal with it people. Or go to Goodwill. Great job Urban Exchange!
