I will not come back. I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent experience with your front desk staff. For the premium price paid, I believe the level of customer service should reflect that standard. Unfortunately, on 12/15/25 and again on 12/17/25 at 2:30 PM, the receptionist I spoke with was noticeably rude and unprofessional. Her tone over the phone was unpleasant and dismissive. I initially called to reschedule my appointment but was reminded in a harsh manner about a 50% fee. The policy states this applies to cancellations, not rebooking, which added to the frustration. While stylists encourage booking months in advance, as someone with a demanding work schedule, unexpected changes are sometimes unavoidable. I was prepared to keep my appointment despite the inconvenience, but the interaction ultimately led me to cancel. Paying $$$$ come with courteous service, not an attitude that makes customers feel like they're imposing. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for all clients moving forward. read more

I finally worked up the nerve to pay for bayalage for myself...made appt. Confirmed appt. Showed up early. And sat waiting...for an hour. Felt like a chump. Not one person even spoke to me. I finally told receptionist i was leaving. Did not try to fix it...other than to hand me free haircut card with the stylist who clearly had no time for me. I left the card on their coffee table. There were two stylists (**who had finished with their clients...who came in AFTER ME**) and a few employees up front when I canceled...I was near tears. I was made to feel incredibly small and insignificant. It was a terribly humbling experience. I was so nervous about it to begin with..spending so much money on myself. And then...nothing. Worse than nothing. Sucks. **Edited to add:** While I sat, ignored, my spouse happened to call the front desk to ask if I had already been taken back. On my end, I see the receptionist, phone in hand, walk by me, glance, and proceed to look on the floor, and return to her desk. Apparently she told my husband my stylist (Nataly) was a ¨teensy bit behind¨ but that another stylist would be ¨jumping in¨ to get me seen. This was over 30 minutes in. And none of that ever happened. Additionally, the receptionist literally NEVER SPOKE TO ME. My husband called me to tell me what he was told. ** Stylist called a couple hours later to try and apologize. That might have helped when I was physically in your salon but now? Please. Too little, too late. The employees were given every opportunity to communicate with me during this disastrous appointment...and not ONE OF THEM EVER DID. Even upon arrival, I had to ¨find¨ someone to check me in. Urban Eve clearly has more than enough clients to sustain their business...so they need not exercise manners or common decency. As a salon owner/stylist for over 25 years I had great hopes for this place. I went in for a trim of my one length hair and unfortunately there were technical flaws. The left front side was at least 1/2 inch longer than the right, and because she didn't have me move my head around in order to get a nice clean line I ended up with 1" of hair sticking out of the bottom of my bob. I had to fix it and won't be back. Paid $47 plus tip. Not worth it! The skill is not there. Chelsea in Lake Jackson was my stylist. read more

This was my first experience with this company, and it was very disappointing to say the least. I asked for a low maintenance platinum blonde hair style. I came out of the appointment looking no different from when I first walked in. My hair is seriously a failure.... It looks like a rat crawled into my hair. I would really have liked to work with the hair stylist more in order to get the dream hairstyle I had asked for, unfortunately her skill level was nowhere near what it needed to be. This place is beyond clean, it's like a surgical center but still with some joy and personality thanks to the staff and the Decour. First time going here after years of hearing great things about this place. This is their new location and I love the set up of it. Very cute! Nataly, my hairdresser, did an amazing job! The cut was just perfect and how I usually love my hair to be. She also recommend certain products that would be beneficial to my hair type. I bought the heat protectant product that she recommended and I've totally noticed a difference. I've even heard from my friends how soft and shiny my hair looks! I also like that at the end of your first cut there, the fill out a profile for you. It includes hair type, skin type and tone, hair texture and more. It will really help when it comes down to recommending products for their clients. They also have a referral program which is super awesome! Oh, and they also have a shop on one side of the salon that sells some pretty cool and unique items. Check out that while you're there! I love this salon. They offer many great services, have a cute store and are always very, very nice! I mainly go for cuts but they have some fun "girls day out options as well. 3/11/2016: I had a late evening appointment today, 8:00 PM, what a fantastic way to end my week at the office! I went for a cut and style, and added a deep conditioning treatment and a mini-facial. I arrived early, thinking I would do a little shopping before my appointment. However, my stylist was available earlier than we had planned so I was able to see her right away. She took a lot of time with me and I left totally relaxed! Katelyn is very talented and extremely kind. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I receive from her. Love this place! I cannot say enough times how wonderful this salon/boutique is. Sarah is my go-to girl and has been for years. She always takes care of me and takes her time to make sure I'm getting the cut and style that I am happy with. Today I met Kathy, she did my shampoo in place of Sarah, and she was wonderful to talk with. I felt so pampered as she gave me a nice scalp massage while the shampoo and conditioner worked their magic. Tracy took fantastic care of my husband and step son and now they both look so handsome with their fresh hair cuts! When Urban eve first opened many years ago they offered great services and had good stylist I trusted my hair too. Flash-forward to today. There are a few good stylist here. However, in my opinion most stylist seem like they are right out of beauty school and have a bit of arrogance it's seems because they work at "UE". I've gone in for simple blow outs and I left there nothing special. I could have done better myself . They do not listen to your wants and concerns. I think they must have a book that has a set of direction and they do not waiver from those direction from coloring to the use of products. During one particular blow out ( I've tried different stylist ) after she was done my hair was flat to my head and looked weighed down . I brought this to her attention and her response ... " I put too much product in your hair". Then explained she had another client and she was sorry but she didn't have time to redo . I had an event that evening !! I've also had experience with " top stylist" that colored my hair so dark it took 6 months to fade enough to do something else to it. Now for the positive: They do have a cute like boutique. Most clothes are reasonably priced. As for hair products : Redken and Pureology hair hair lines which are old and outdated in my opinion. But if you like that line then you can purchase it a UE. read more

She cut about 8-10in off and I am so excited about the change. My color looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. Also, she was super fun and extremely professional. Can't wait to go back. Watch it girls! I have visited Urban Eve a few times. Went in for just a new growth touch up to cover the gray. No hair cut. No highlight. My hair is to my shoulders. Not that it would make a difference. The color was applied to the new growth area only. The website shows $65 for color if you go with a stylist that is at a level 4. I went in expecting that. Went to check out. $121. I was charged what is advertised on their website for color and highlight. I did mention when I checked out that I received just a touch up. I ADORE Tracy who cuts and colors my hair! She does a fabulous job! But it seems every time I come to the salon, I have to wait 15 to 45 minutes-- (Though one time we were on time!) Today I waited 30 minutes and left because I was tired of having to wait every visit. I went to Urban Eve back in 2017 and asked for a long bob and got an insanely bad, super short haircut. The hairs on the back of my head were maybe an inch long. She messed up and just kept cutting until she thought it looked okay. I didn't make a scene, I just paid and left. I grew my hair out for a year and decided I wanted some highlights. I booked another appointment thinking maybe I can give them another shot. I walked in and of course the lady doing my highlights was the same girl from the year before. I showed her a pic of what I wanted and was extremely specific about everything so there was no confusion. I left with my hair looking absolutely nothing like the picture. I asked for blonde highlights and I left with two little strips of blonde on the underside of my hair and the rest has pretty much no difference. She doesn't listen to anything her clients say and just takes it into her own hands to do whatever she wants. Wasted $200 at their location just to have to go somewhere else and pay another $200 just to get what I wanted in the first place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The stylists take the time to talk with you before staring to make sure they give you what you want for your hair. I had a haircut with Michaela and she was fantastic! My experience was very positive from the moment I walked in. The boutique is fun to browse in with unique things you can't get just anywhere. When I was called back, Michaela took some time to get to know me--she asked me several questions to figure out what I was looking for, what I like/dislike about my hair and some personal questions to get to know my style and a little about me. It was the BEST haircut I have ever received. She styled it great, put on a little makeup after and I even bought the makeup she put on me because she did such a great job picking out things that fit my personality and style. Really upset how difficult it is to get an appointment with the stylist I want. I have a certain schedule with only Friday's off or I need evening appointments. Settled on a stylist, which I liked. Great color and ok cut. But the first time I went, spent 30 minutes with a person introducing me to the salon and boutique with an emphasis in buying products! Second appointment I had to wait and they tried to sell me more products which I was not interested. I don't mind waiting but when I was late on my 4th visit by 10 minutes, (they were calling me while I was parking) they refused to do my color and would only cut my hair. Another appointment they booked me with the wrong stylist and yet another time they said I missed an appointment I didn't even know I had. Every time I tried to make an appointment my stylists hours were different and this last time they told me she doesn't work on Fridays anymore and it takes forever to get an evening appointment. So I guess just too difficult to work with my schedule. Scared to try another stylist, I don't like to switch around . Last stylist I had before going to this salon I went to for 20 yrs! Don't know if I want to go back, I asked them if my stylist could call me so she could recommend another stylist with hours that would work with my schedule but I have yet to receive a call.
