The three of us were greeted promptly and had about a 5 minute wait. The place is cute as the dickens - very charming. The wait staff was fantastic and friendly even though they were hustling. Now, the best part...the food!!! We tried the meatloaf sandwich, Cobb salad, and a plowman sandwich with a side salad. The food was fresh and the portions were large but not impossible. My Cobb salad had the perfect balance of mixed greens with all of the good stuff - chicken, blue cheese,... I usually end up with a pile of leftover lettuce after I pick out the best bits lol. We saw another table order a piece of chocolate cake so we got one to go. We enjoyed it later and it was divinely chocolately without being too sweet. I even liked the frosting which I usually remove because it's too sweet! I will definitely be returning next time I'm in DeWitt!!! Thanks for a great lunch! Wish I had snapped some pictures!

We were shown a table away from the door as it was really cold that day, so the staff were quite considerate. There was also a sushi bar area. We opted for ordering from the menu which comes with appetizers. When inquired about gluten free options, the staff explained clearly what could be gluten free. When the food arrived, we were quite impressed that they do take allergen seriously. The put a gluten free indicator on the dish to make sure it was clearly marked. In term of the taste, they were delicious. I particularly like the soup, it was flavorful, and definitely good for a cold day! The food still is pretty similar to many others. About what to expect on the menu. The typical Americanized type of stuff. It's about $11 for an entree. We got some of the tofu ones including the Bean Curd With Garlic Sauce. It had not much of a variety of vegetables but it had a spicy flavor. There's also plenty of options if wanting meaty things like beef, chicken, or seafood. Great thing is there's not much competition. It's closed Mondays. There's a few tofu options for vegetarians.

It is your standard Americanized Chinese food and most of the items on the menu are pretty typical except I don't recall seeing egg foo young. A lot of the entrees came with complimentary soup. The choices were wonton, hot and sour, and egg drop soup. We tried fried wonton, Mongolian beef, vegetarian lo mein, tofu in spicy garlic sauce, and sesame chicken combo with fried rice and egg roll. It was plenty of food for the six of us and we had leftovers. Proper Mongolian beef is hard to come by these days . It isn't supposed to be overly saucy and should just have enough sauce for a slight coating. The beef should be served with crispy white noodles and scallions. Oriental Garden's version is different and resembles the standard soy-sauce based sauteed beef with lots of mushrooms and onions. It was tasty but it wasn't Mongolian beef. And oddly enough, the fried wonton has meat when it usually doesn't. We weren't opposed to it though.
