The most recent problem, I had a crown put on and it fell off the next day. So I decided to go to a different dentist to take care of the problem. Reason why, I had been to Malone's office 4 or 5 times to have the crown put on and had sat there for at least 1 hour each time waiting because they didn't know how to put in the crown type that I had. After getting my crown placed back on from the other dentist, I then came to realization that when Malone's office had charged me for the crown, they had never sent it to my insurance. So I had paid the full price and it wasn't cheap. The secretary, Michelle, has been taking her sweet time to get the problem fixed. AND HAS HAD AN ATTITUDE THE WHOLE TIME! EVEN THOUGH I COULD SUE THE SHIT OUT OF THEM! It's been nearly 2 months and I still don't have my full refund. It's ridiculous. Every time, we call the office, "I will have to look into that." and then she doesn't reach and we have to call back a week later to see if she ever did look into it. Not to mention, they are always running behind, even when I have the first appointment of the day and I still don't get called back until 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Dr. Malone quickly depleted my insurance for the year of 2011 and as 2012 rolled around she quickly depleted the insurance for 2012. The appointments kept coming and coming, it was always something and every time I went in they wanted another $200 which is now coming out of my pocket. We went through Nov, Dec, Jan and now it is the end of Feb. They keep calling me with reasons for me to come back in for more procedures. They said they lost the impressions that they took for my partial plate, or they did something wrong, or lost something else. It is always something to make me come back in and more money. We are going on 4 months now and I still don't have any teeth to eat with. This last appointment I could no longer be nice about all of this and demanded that they get the teeth and put them in. After 2 office visits, I ended up ~1000 bills and my insurance only pays $252.80. I am responsible for over ~700 bill. There are 2 in-network periodontics in Vero and my insurance would cover 80% of the cost. But I do not know why Pirkle referred me to an out-network provider. Avoid Pirkle and Jeffery Brown at all costs if you have delta dental insurance.

I feel totally comfortable in this office and have no fear or apprehension about having any work done. There are 4 dentists in the practice now, however, I'm only familiar with Dr. Pirkle. I can not imagine that Dr. Pirkle, being the ultimate professional, would have anyone in his office he doesn't feel is highly qualified or doesn't fit in with the office environment, which in my experience, is always putting the patient first.

That dentist told me that I needed over $3500 worth of crowns. I had a feeling that they were trying to rip me off so I drove down to see Dr. Peterson for a second opinion. Doc fixed my tooth with a simple filling that I've had no trouble with since. Dr. Peterson is an honest dentist who doesn't try and up-sell you with the most expensive dental work he can. I'll be making the hour and a half drive each way from now for any and all dental work.
