Always ask the chef what to order if you can. He recommended I order the gyro and it didn't disappoint. The staff was really friendly and provided good service from start to finish. I am giving a good review because it was a good experience but I do want to make it clear that THIS IS AIRPORT FOOD. Because it was made with care for the customer and my overall experience is good thats why I am leaving this review as a compliment to the staff. One thing I would suggest is toasting the bread on the pita because the sandwich was a bit softer than I would like but, it was still good. Thank you again to the staff for taking care of me. read more

Urban Crave - Good sandwich. Fell apart a bit and could have had a but more texture but it was not bad. - New American Near Me - Jamaica, New York

The food is horrible and expensive. The shrimp tacos bread felt apart as soon as I got it. I had to use a fork, and it tasted bad too. Not for 20 bucks! And you can't seat unless pay for tip. read more

I landed in JFK for a layover on a recent trip to the East Coast. Since it was right smack in the middle of lunch time, I chose to get lunch at the nearest restaurant at my terminal and that was none other than Urban Crave. Urban Crave menu offerings consisted of various burgers and sandwiches. As typical of airport food, the prices are menu. Burgers are $20 and the sandwiches are $16. I chose to get a Bahn Mi sandwich for $16. All of their sandwiches come with house made chips or for an extra fee (no surprise there with the extra fee) you can get fries. The bahn mi was ok but definitely not something to write home about. The bread was rather hard and there was not too much chicken in there. Flavorwise it was alright but a little on the spicy side. The house made chips were a little on the bland side. Overall the food here is not quite something I would crave for but do-able for a small layover. read more

For an airport restaurant, this wasn't bad. The service was pretty fast, it seemed clean, and my meal was a large portion and tasted fine. Nothing to write home about, but it was decent! The breakfast menu is very small - only four entree options. There isn't a lot restaurant options in this terminal, though, so it's better than nothing! read more

Not bad for airport food... We shared the pulled pork nachos which had a good kick. At $15 they're a little pricey but definitely enough for two people to share. Not a bad option in the Delta terminal. read more

Urban Crave - No prices on drinks ?!? - New American Near Me - Jamaica, New York

Was hungry at the airport before departure and decided to stop and eat real quick as well as grab a drink. Probably took about 10 minutes before I was even noticed and then given a menu. I got the bahn mi but they didn't have any cilantro...and the cucumbers were cut in big chunks. The sauce wasn't right and the pulled pork dominated most of the sandwich which is not what a real bahn mi is. Probably shouldn't have expected much from a restaurant in the airport. I couldn't even finish 1/4 of my meal. read more

Urban Crave - Banh mi - New American Near Me - Jamaica, New York

I'd have passed but too few options around. This is "street food" but man, you may have to LIVE on the streets to afford what they are selling. I know it's in an airport AND it's New York but man, $19 is a bit rich for a chicken sandwich. The sauce was good but it was a pre-cook, dipped, topped with slaw and put on a bun. Handful of school cafeteria fries and served on a small tray. Seated fast and food was quickly brought out (pre-cooked) but took too long to get paid out..... Two stars for the taste but that was more of a 12-13 meal....I feel robbed on that street. read more

HAH-REE-BLE No matter how hungry you are please please please don't come here. The food was so bad, they were out of most of the items. Best part of my lunch was the Stella. I will never be back. Food was bad, table was dirty, service was bad. read more

Urban Crave - Mehhhh. Sandwich is good. Fryer is broken so tortilla chips and salsa it is! - New American Near Me - Jamaica, New York

This place had all the makings of something cool, and then... Was supposed to be poutine...created with hand-cut ribbon fries and fresh cheese curd with hot brown gravy...yum! What's not to love?! And then I got this...they were out of gravy...I guess that means they also used frozen crinkle cut fries and a stingy amount of crappy shredded mild cheddar cheese?! I paid $12.49 for this nasty plate. On the upside, my pint of Stella was cold and delicious...but seriously, you don't get points for that. Please try harder. read more

Urban Crave - Described as hand cut ribbon fries with fresh cheese curds and hot brown gravy...this is what I was served. Yuck :( - New American Near Me - Jamaica, New York

There is not much good food choices in this area of the airport, but this place was steady so decided to give it a try. The reviews were hit and miss. We grabbed a table right outside which is OK if you like people watching. When the doors open to board or deboard planes it can be cold and breezy. I grabbed a bud light and it was flatter than the runway, not worth it. I ordered the Urban Burger with Fries. The Burger was average, thick and juicy. Had good flavor, comes with white cheddar, lettuce, and tomato. The sauce wasn't my favorite. The fries were just average fries. The service was slow, so expect a wait. read more

So we get to the airport a little early Gate B 47 after a 45 minute walk to the terminal we were looking for somewhere to plant and have a drink and a bite to eat the only place in site was called urban crave. 4 hrs later eating almost everything on the menu and every cocktail you can think of . I am so happy we waited and did not stop at the other hundred places we passed to get here . Great place !!! Our first Waitress Jean was incredible as well as Jamie . I was on a long layover at JFK, and decided to go here. I was hoping for a bite to eat, but I found the 13 item menu a bit.......limited. I also noticed the people behind the counter were having great conversations among themselves, while at least 5 people sat at the bar area....and they were not talked to at all. It is not like they were ignored, but seriously.....the staff really had an opportunity to engage in conversation with customers.... It seemed like a big ole secret between the staff, and we as customers were not part of it. As some one who has managed a restaurant......YOU ARE MISSING MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH CUSOMERS, AND MAKE TIPS!! Your prices are not cheap........the difference is feeling like customers matter. PLEASE train your staff to focus on the customer, not each other. Just sayin..... read more

It's decent. I had a bacon cheddar burger. It was cooked properly, and was quite tasty. Yes, it's $20. It's a New York airport, so I'm not surprised. Service was quick. If you need a bite on Concourse B, give this place a shot (it's across from B49). read more

Just had drinks here... It took a bit too long for me to get any kind of attention. The employee who was closest to me noticed me sitting down, but he continued to wipe off the computer screen and work area rather than greet me. The couple next to me was obviously in a hurry to pay their bill and they had to practically harass the guy to get him to come over. I had just landed so I wasn't in a rush. Any other circumstance, I would've left. When I finally did order my beer, it took about 5 minutes for it to arrive. At this point, another employee comes over and he has great energy and sense of urgency. But isn't multitasking a basic part of a server's job? If it wasn't for this employee (older, tall, black guy with grey hair) I would've given them 2 stars. He was working the whole bar and helping out Dopey (the other employee). Food menu looks decent, almost like a southern/Canadian fusion. Fries look really good and crispy. Couple next to me said the Bloody Mary saved their marriage. So yeah. Take that. read more

Please don't mention the price of sandwiches. Yes, they are 16-20 dollars, or the over priced beer. You're a captive audience.. can you say.. Amusement park or NFL stadium! Generally the sandwich was good. I got a chicken sandwich, a hot chicken breast sandwich and some fries. The waitress was overwhelmed with the number of people that came in all of a sudden, so she did the best she could. They do actually have tv's with sport on them... not some advertising for condo in Hawaii. Would I stop there again, yea, I would. The sandwich was ok, fries hot and salty... and the beer cold. If you don't like the prices... get a cold sandwich from a refrig and check the expiration date. read more

Service was slow and not too attentive. The guy behind the bar was nice, but didn't seem to care about checking back or communicating. Had to flag attention. We both ordered burgers medium with fries. After around 30 minutes waiting for the burgers, we were informed AFTER the food came out they were out of fries and the burgers were well done. The beers ordered were also not so warm. Be sure to eat before approaching the last B gates as there is limited selection down here. read more

Good spicy Bloody Marys and plenty of power supplies at the bar to make the layover a little better. The good looks good and the staff was really great. Hope they get better reviews because they made the last 2 hours fly by in a pleasant way. **NEVER BE TOO SLEEPY OR HUNGRY TO NOT READ YELP REVIEWS** After this meal, I was angry, and felt I had been scammed. It made me feel bad about the state of this nation--that we should accept poor quality food simply because we are hungry and have so few options in this part of the airport. I made the mistake of stopping by for "jueveos rancheros". In my estimation, only one ingredient on my plate was fresh--the eggs. Thank God. Chips--stale Retried beans-- canned Salsa--canned I asked for hot water. It was water that had been poured through a coffee machine, and tasted of weak coffee. The meal was served in a carry out container. . .even though I did not ask for take away. The one positive thing about it? The take out container was made in America. Do yourself a favor and grab snacks from the convenience shops. Your tummy, wallet, and feelings will be much happier. read more

Looked promising on my layover, no hostess, so I seated myself. After seeing no employees for a bit, I found a menu. Almost 20 bucks for a burger, add 4 dollars if you want a salad instead of chips. $14 double bourbon & Pepsi (sorry, no Coke) couldn't wash away the $16 1/3 pound Texas burger, which featured a couple half cooked fried onion rings, a plop of Cattleman's BBQ sauce and some type of cheese slice. Girl, I can't. Where do I even begin? They have no desire to help customers. Rudest service I've ever experienced. If I could offer any constructive criticism, it would be to fire the entire staff, or close the restaurant for good. After reading other reviews, I was reminded that I had been here before. I wasn't moved to write a review for that experience, because I didn't think it was worth my breath. I will never go back. As for the food and drink: I asked for a Diet Coke, he brought me a piss warm Diet Pepsi. I ordered breakfast poutine, which should have been scrambled eggs over ribbon potatoes with cheese curds and gravy. What I got was scrambled eggs with some sort of shredded cheese over potato chips. Weirdest and worst poutine I've ever had. I assume they call it street food because you would only eat it if you lived on the streets. They made me sad. read more

Probably one of the worse Bloody Mary's I've ever had, though my second star is for the fact that I left there with a slight buzz from one drink-- which, at nearly $20 per drink, I better have been buzzed! Thankfully, the extra olives served as chasers. It's really the only food/ drink option in this lost part of the terminal, so I also tried the fried chicken sliders, which were ok. Considering we didn't have enough time to go anywhere else, this was fine; however, if I were you, I'd get there a bit earlier and grab food/ drinks elsewhere. read more

So for an airport restaurant, the food was average. But the drinks were pretty good, at least my blue mai tai was very good! We had the fish tacos and the grilled cheese with tomato soup. If you are here for good food, stick with the soup! It was flavorful and paired well with an average at best grilled cheese sandwich. If you like salsa from a jar and fried frozen fish wedges..the fish tacos are subpar from any fish taco out there! But you have to remember you're at an airport! read more

Worst service ever! I was standing at the bar waiting to be helped and no one ever came to check on me. When it was my turn I was skipped. Once Nader was able to help me he said "No" and had someone else help me. If there was another place to eat near my gate I would have turned around right then and there. I ordered the huevos rancheros for breakfast. It was supposed to come with salsa, cheese and avocado. What I got was a pile of stale tortilla chips with cold refried beans and two raw eggs. If I could give it zero stars I would. Horrible service! I can't say how the food is because after sitting at the bar for literally an hour they never served the grilled cheese and tomato soup I ordered. They have one of the worst group of servers I've ever experienced. The first 10 minutes was spent being ignored after I sat down. I then was able to get the attention of the waitress who stared at me until I asked for a Diet Coke and a menu. A couple minutes later I got the menu, no Diet Coke. Five minutes later I ordered and got my Diet Coke. 30 minutes late I asked if the soup would be coming soon. With no verbal response she walked back to the kitchen and did not come back. 10 minutes later I told the guy behind the bar to cancel my order and I left. During the hour I sat there I saw others having similar problems. If you are heading to gate B40 or higher, stop and eat somewhere else along the way. read more
