Today I chose the Big Breaky Burger. I find it hard not to give these a try everywhere. I noted on the menu some additional ingredients that you won't typically see. This burger was clearly of a higher class. When it arrived (which was surprisingly quick, I guess they are quiet today, but awesome) the presentation was pretty eye catching. I blurted our something stupid and incomprehensible to the waitress. What I meant to say was "that looks awesome" and "thank you". Let's cut to the juice. The coffee is great, smooth with no bitterness! The bacon is delicious, maybe a light smokey flavour and crisped to perfection. The burger is made on a fluffy brioche bun as it should be. The avocado was generous and had a slight lemon flavour like they cared for it delicately begins the scenes. I love this place after one visit! I'll be back, and I'll bring other people. Given the amount of people they were serving we were surprised to get our meal within 15 minutes. Both meals pretty as a picture and the perfect size. I can't fault a thing with either meal, the ingredients matched perfectly. The hotcakes so light and fluffy with a delicious white chocolate cream on top and the sweet corn fritters (also like corn slice fried to crispy goodness) were simply amazing with perfectly poached eggs and dill cream. Now let's talk about the service - attentive and friendly. At one point someone came over the check we had received our coffee. We had, we just drank it so fast and the dirty cups were taken away so quickly our waitress hadn't noticed... Such a small and insignificant thing which made us notice how well we were taken care of. George Jones is definitely not what you would expect from a little inner suburban cafe with no competition around, but it has surpassed our expectations and we will be back many times to come.

They were really lovely. The heirloom beets of various kinds were excellent too. Tasty with just the right amount of give. Lovely greens with a good dressing as well. The side of peas and broad beans was really delicious too. I could barely fault these dishes which were very good. Maybe a tiny bit more seasoning on both dishes, although maybe many people want to control this themselves. I found myself preferring this cafe to a few of those in the inner north.
