It was probably a rather silly dish to order on a bitterly cold day. When it arrived I raised my eyebrows a bit as I'd never quite seen the likes of it before. It was nothing like the warm chicken salads you get at most places these days. You know, the bed of salad and the grill marked chicken and a few other extras and a nice dressing. This though was very different. For a start, the chicken came with a sauce. And, there were several thickly cut slices of warm sweet potato provided plus avocado, Spanish onion and lettuce as well as surprisingly, slivers of green pickle. It looked very unusual and I had some trepidation about tackling it. I needn't have worried. It was rustic but nonetheless very good. The chicken pieces were generously sized and nicely cooked with ample moistness. The veggies were all lovely and tasty. It all hung together nicely. The dish probably needed a couple more leafy greens but was still very satisfying and I found myself liking it. Against the odds, I found myself liking it here and 3.5 is just the right score in my book.

We settled on an assortment of small sweet bars as well as some lattes (Prana Chai and Magic) and everything turned out great. Well, maybe except for the Prana Chai which was kinda bland, surprisingly. The drink seemed to be made up almost entirely of milk with none of the spices and flavors that you'd expect from a Chai latte. At least my Magic Latte was great; the milk was so dang creamy - straight up wizardry. Other than that, the sweets were delectable and big enough to share but not so big that you're looking for to-go boxes. All the Thirtyfold employees were super friendly too, all eager to answer questions from a bumbling tourist like me. I didn't order it but stole from the plate next to mine. Two of us ordered the Mahumsor breakfast for a bit of a change from standard bacon and eggs and found it was so tasty we were eating too quickly!
