It is moments like these that I desperately wish there was an option that was less than one star.
I went in to return a product that I had bought less than 3 weeks earlier. It started malfunctioning. I went to the store and they told me to contact the manufacturer. Fair enough.
I do just that, however, clear as day on the manufacturer's site it says that the retailer is responsible for exchanges within the first 6 months when outside the US. So why did they not know that? I would learn it was because they would try desperately to not honour that.
I went to say that I was informed to return it to them, and they again said no, I had to contact the manufcaturer again and get a ticket number. However, all of this was conveyed from some twit in the backroom send another gentleman back and front like a well trained puppy. It was all I could do not to laugh which was perfectly balanced with my disgust at how I was being treated. At that point I said thank, but no thanks and walked out the door.
