Things are out of line on the website with actual hours. There has never been a close synchronization between the website, non-professional staff, and even the person who answers the telephone over the years. I went there 2 years ago desperately seeking help for this affliction I have that has plagued me my whole life. I was unable to articulate exactly what my challenges were, thats why I went there, for what I was told was expert help. After roughly ten visits I had seen enough, we were getting nowhere closer to getting me back to work and the pills were wreaking havoc on my prostate for some odd reason and couldn't go to bathroom anymore. So long story short recently I had what is called a Autistic burnout episode where I just basically shut down from the exhaustion of pretending im normal, like I been trying to tell them all along. Come to find out im on the Autism spectrum and its genetic and it runs in my family! How did they miss this? I feel like its complete malpractice. I have yet to find a job and probably could have qualified for SSDI long ago if they caught it when they had the chance but didn't take the time to run any tests whatsoever other than some multiple choice questions during intake. How is that an extensive mental evaluation? Also the Doctor made it very clear they do not co operate with social security so do not ask her for any help whatsoever! We'll you been warned. read more

Just the worst. My dr retired and I was not reassigned to a new physician. When I called to refill my rx I was told I need to be seen by a new dr first and an appt wasn't available for over a month. I was able to be worked in but the dr I met with never called in my rx. I called multiple times to follow up and when I tried again on a Friday I was told by the answering service that they can not contact any drs for prescription related issues. The whole job of a psychiatrist is to provide and monitor medications! Why else would an on call provider even be needed? In addition, when I called to make an appt I was rudely told I have a balance which was close to going to collections. I'd received bills in the mail before and always paid right away, but never received the two bills they claimed to have sent. I was told to take it up with the post office, even though I've not had issues receiving any of my other mail. I contacted the billing department to see what went wrong, and make sure that doesn't happen again, and no one ever called me back. I was essentially told that I need to call and request my bill a few days after every single appointment. That is not on me, that is their job. The doctors I've seen have all been fine, but the level of incompetence of this office is mind-boggling. read more

I've been a patient since I was 13 and have had Dr. Stephens when I was younger and Dr. Myers from the time I was 18 to present day...which have been great. I have no complaint with the psychiatrists. The office staff always acts like I'm not in the system or like I'm not a patient anymore and are not always nice. read more

I don't normally write reviews but this place has absolutely lost my confidence. Dr. Rogers is great but the office itself needs to be put under new management. Only open Mon-Thur from 8:30-5:30pm, or so they claim since no one ever answers the phone, and they take a 2 hour lunch in the middle of it and shut the office down. You never know if they got your message when you leave one because they never call you back. There aren't a lot of options here in this area for this kind of service but we might as well not have any if this is what we have to put up with. read more

I have read the reviews regarding the way the office staff handles calls and agree. They do not answer the phone. When you get to number 6 for the operator in the recorded message, it brings you back to the beginning of the recording. There was a written request sent for medical records and the reply in big bold letters was NOT OUR PATIENT. The individual was treated there and we are trying to determine a timeline. He is applying to be accepted into a medical research study to help individuals with the same diagnosis. Obviously, they could care less. The reply came back so quickly, I wonder if they even looked. It seems to be an ongoing problem per other reviews. I would think twice about going there if they are so uncooperative. read more

Do not go here. I've been a patient for 2 years and have only stayed that long because Dr. Rodgers is great. But the office staff is incompetent, unresponsive, rude, and never helpful. It is impossible to get in touch with someone here. They have messed up my medication refills on more than one occasion, and they will be sending me a referral to a different practice if they ever answer my dang phone calls. I wish I had taken the advice of previous reviews--a good doctor is irrelevant if the office staff behind them is worthless. read more

The front desk never answers the phone. That is very much accurate. It's literally impossible to get anyone on the phone. You have to wait for a call back that may or may not be that day. BUT the actual service I have received here has been wonderful! You do wait awhile to see your provider but that is true for all psychiatry places I have been to. Although the phones could be handled better. I've never seen it this bad. read more

The therapists are very helpful but we have NEVER and I mean not ever once, had anybody answer the phone. With billing questions, nobody answers. To make an appointment, nobody answers. We actually had to drive to their address! I had great results with the therapist but something needs to be done about the office staff. read more

Doctors ok but agree with other review. The front office staff is plain rude. They act like they don't want to be there and you are an inconvenience to them. They are horrible about answering phone, getting you med refill, etc. Like my doc but hate the place. I am looking for a new doctor now. read more

Dr Tridico was recommended by a child behavioral therapist my husband & I had consulted with for one of our children. After further consultation with our Pediatrician, a written referral was sent over by our Pediatrician to Dr Tridico's office, expressing a rather pressing issue as we were having to take our child off of medication and facing quite a tumultuous time. After the referral was sent, we didn't hear anything. My husband & I both called numerous times, leaving messages under their "new patient" menu option's voicemail. The referral coordinator at our Pediatrician's office left NUMEROUS messages following up on the referral - no response. After six messages, plus several additional calls where she was left on hold with no return to the line, she sent a fax asking for a status on the referral they had sent weeks prior. Nothing. Today, I called again, selecting the regular appointment menu option (as if an established patient), and reached a live person. They couldn't assist, but transferred me to "Julie" who handles new patient appointments. In explaining the back-story to Julie, she told me that our child was "not accepted" as a patient. I asked her if she could help me understand why that would be, are they not accepting new patients? She said they were, and that despite saying she doesn't know why a Dr refuses a particular patient, she asked me a series of background questions about my child. In the end, she surmised that it was because my child is under the age of 11 and since they're only doing tele-heatlh visits currently (due to COVID), they won't see a child under age 11 as a new patient. Really? This is the reason that my child, who very much needs managed care from a Psychiatrist in conjunction with her Pediatrician, wouldn't take her on as a patient? But OK, I'll try to give the benefit of the doubt. Thought perhaps it is because they want a child to be able to talk to them freely without the aid of a parent, and most young children wouldn't be able to navigate a tele-health visit unassisted. OK, BOD given even though I think it's preposterous that they would DENY care to a patient in need. Especially for reasons as shallow and unethical as believing that apparently NO care is better than the care they could get having a parent help them connect to a tele-health visit? Whatever - back to square 1-minus-1000 (as every day without proper care, our child's health deteriorates). So I simply passed along feedback to "Julie" saying that it would really be a good practice for them to proactively share this information. They could put it on their website, in the recorded voicemail greetings (which we reached NUMEROUS times), or even as a quick response back to the referring doctor's office as soon as they see it's a young child that doesn't meet their "standards" for who they want to be their golden-patients. Whatever method, it is unprofessional and inconsiderate for families to be left waiting WEEKS AND WEEKS thinking a referral / appointment is materializing, when in reality, absolutely NO progress is being made. Julie told me "we do not reply to patients whom are not accepted". So, then they're intentionally leaving these people "hanging", waiting for a return call that never happens?!? I told her I'd be sure to let folks know that in the review I'd be posting so folks could at least be fore-warned. To which she scoffed and hung up the phone on me. So - as promised, here's their glowing review. In closing, I know it's a bad season right now for mental health - believe me, I know. But in difficult times most ethical professionals whom are committed to their chosen line of work, would be doing everything within their power to bridge the gap and help their "customers". It's what I do as a professional in my industry, and it's what I see other professionals doing time and time again. Believe me, I take absolutely NO pleasure in leaving this review - but there are TWO psychiatry practices in the Upstate I suggest you steer clear of, and THIS IS ONE OF THEM! read more

I enjoyed Dr. Rodgers very much as she is kind and helpful. However, I will be in search of another provider because the office in nearly impossible to get ahold of. All communication is done over the phone or in person. They have no options for online communication. Office staff are rude and unhelpful. They usually don't answer when you call, and do not return voicemails in a timely manner, if at all. This makes it incredibly challenging to get in contact with the doctor. I've told her about my concerns with communication, and there's been no resolutions. After over a year, I am ready for a higher quality of care and professionalism. read more

I have been a patient for years. I have always received excellent care from my doctor. The girls out front always seem to have an attitude. They are more interested in each other's personal lives than anyone at the desk. Never smile! Short with patients when they ask anything. Not just me. I watch while I'm waiting for my appointment. Very difficult to get anyone to answer when you call. Several times I have tried to reach the answering service and that did not work. My pharmacist had had the same problems with both. One of my doctors offices that called said that was the worst front office he had ever encountered. read more

I saw Dr Galvarino for the better part of 30yrs. By that time I was on a high dose antidepressants, benzodiazepines , HALDOL, & Ambien. I was so zonked out I literally never moved. After reading an article on older people having serious falls from being on benzodiazepines for prolong periods.( I had 2 serious falls.) I decided to seek a second opinion. Wow. The first thing she did was read all my records. She said," Your doctor was no friend to you" She took me off the benzos which was hard as hell but I did it. The Haldol taken off ,the ambien taken off, & now finally the antidepressants taken off. I started seeing him after the death of my father in 1983. I ended up on disability. I lost my career, my family had to put up with me like that. I now feel as though I have come out of a 30 yr fog. I'm on nothing & I have no depression or anxiety. I was never psychotic so I have no Idea why the Haldol. 30 years on benzodiazepines ..30 years . read more

I have made several phone calls and even filled out the new patient information to get an appointment for my daughter that is having severe depression and extreme anxiety. She has double insurance coverage and a referral from the EAP of course they haven't called to schedule an appointment VERY VERY horrible! No wonder there is such a bad epidemic and mental health issues!!!! read more

The office told me I needed to get a referral before I could become a patient. I got a former psychiatrist to give a referral. When I checked with Upstate twice to see if they received the referral, they failed to return my calls. Then the referring psychiatrist told me that Upstate was not accepting new patients, something Upstate never told me. read more

The doctor I see is amazing, however the women at the front desk are rude and unprofessional. They do not listen to you and treat you as if you were completely irrelevant. I hope these ladies don't run away all the amazing doctors clients that would be a shame. Oh and if you leave a messege with the nurse you can forget getting a call back. read more

I am never able to reach anyone by phone. If you press the number you what, it transfers and then just hangs up. Maybe there is something wrong with their phone system or maybe they just don't answer them at lunch. There is no way to even leave a message. read more

Phone calls are not answered or returned. Staff member answering uses southern slang which was not understandable. I was sent to three different people and still never received helped. I header therapist and psychiatrist are great, but the front office needs training and professionalism along with sending calls to voice mail. read more
