Ordered some car parts from EBay valued at 90 US dollar plus 25 shipping . Up on delivery I expected to pay tax and little bit of brokerage fee as I didn't realize the shipper use UPS to ship. That was my first mistake. The bill comes to 15 bucks of tax or something plus 37 in brokerage. I refuse to accept the item as I looked up the UPS website there is a price chart for the value amount and brokerage they charge. It should've been 26.6 for item between 100-150 dollars. Which is still ridiculous . So I call the customer service and ask why is it now 37 instead of 26.6 as listed on the website. They said there is a 10 dollar COD fee. So now they are charging me money to collect money from me. I wasn't going to pay 25US plus 37 brokerage on top of a 100 dollar item. After talking to the seller about return they told me if I don't except the item UPS gonna charge him 40 to ship it back which will be taken off from my refund. He was being nice and helpful and I felt like I'm in a lose lose situation. So I went to this location. Ask again why I'm being charge 37 the lady gave me a different answer. She said some times on electronic items they charge more for brokerage(so it's not COD fee now ) . I explain this is just hardware for my car. I show her their web site where does it say there is an extra for different item. All it shows is 26.6 for item between 100-150.the lady was being nice and helpful( only good experience I got out of this ). She call the customer service and print me out a form so I could drive to cbsa office 5 mins away to have the package clear myself and completely wave the brokerage. So my suggestion is not to ever use UPS , but in case you have to or chose them by accident. Refuse to accept delivery and ask for a form to clear the package yourself. read more

Without a doubt the worst customer experience I've had in recent history. I always dread the moment a shipper indicates they will be shipping via UPS. However, this was truly mind blowing. NEVER EVER deal with UPS , they are " late pickup , late transit, very late delivery, not useful tracking , not polite drivers , and not even cheaper " one simple envelope from Toronto to Edmonton took 6 business days ($48 charged) . read more

If there was a ZERO star or piles-of-shit emoji's, I would have selected them. Their drivers cannot find a toilet in a washroom. They must still use Microsoft Encarta 1.0 for Commodore 64 to search addresses. I have had to go to their depot at YVR 5 times, because they are unable to find my address. Hmmm. Canada Post and every other courier company can do so. No sense of urgency when attempting to resolve undelivered packages, and everytime, the package ends up sitting at their depot over the weekend when they are closed. I have a suggestion, UPS. CLOSE permanently so none of us have to deal with your poor excuse for a business operation. What can brown do for you/me?? Plug up my toilet like that seven-coil oh-henry sized piece of shit after eating a plate of nachos. read more

Bunch of liars! I tracked my packaged the day It was supposed to be delivered and it says delivery will be delayed because the suite# is either missing incorrect, may delay delivery and that they have CONTACTED the receiver to request additional information. FUCK YOU! Nothing registered on my phone that I was contacted by UPS until now. There is nothing wrong my address and I work in the graveyard shift so I am home all day! read more

Indeed the worst ever experience... Their call center in Philippines is just a waste of time n resources... Call center execs are not trained enough... unwilling to find solution to problems, they would rather try feeding you the standard answers (similar to those FAQs on their website)... when I requested for escalation, I was kept on hold almost for 45 minutes.... read more

A package with the tracking number 1Z0X118A6609990940 was scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday August 30th 2016. To minimize any delay I contacted UPS at 9:42AM in an effort to determine whether there were any duties to paid on the shipment. Upon learning that there were I promptly paid same by way of credit card. The rep then informed me that I would receive an email of my receipt within 30 mins and had me hold whilst she contacted dispatch so that the driver can be notified. She confirmed that this was done and the conversation ended. UPSTN EX 1 Screen Shot 2016-08-31 at 5.52.51 AM.png At 5:54pm my son, 18 yrs old, contacted me and indicated the the UPS delivery driver refused to leave the package and left citing that he could not collect the funds and I should have same ready the following day. Troubled by this strange turn of events in my capacity and experience as a CERTIFIED FRAUD EXAMINER and a CERTIFIED FRAUD SPECIALIST I made the decision to record the rest of my conversations with any and ALL Agents of UPS. At 5:56pm I contacted the UPS customer Service line and explained that my package was not delivered even though the I had paid the fees earlier that day. The rep then checked the system and confirmed that the payment was made and that this was communicated to dispatch for the drivers information. I stressed the urgency of having the package to be delivered that evening and I was then told that I would be passed onto a supervisor. After being on hold for 5 minutes the rep returned and indicated that he could not locate a supervisor and asked for my number and he/she would return my call. 10 minutes later I received a call from 1-800-742-5877 asking for "Mr. Lee" I them indicated that this was Ted Nicholas and the individual apologized and hung up. (The entire exchange was also recorded UPSTN REC2) 25 minuted later I called the UPS customer service line and spoke with yet another rep and had to go into the entire story concerning why my package was delivered. The rep transferred me to another manager and it was at this point I confirmed that there was a willful attempt to deceive me as a customer and protect the driver and/or other agents at UPS whose incompetence whether by accident or design FAILED to ensure that my package was delivered thereby causing me to miss out on a lucrative job opportunity. UPSTN REC3 Having confirmed that my payment had been made earlier that day and that dispatch was notified, the manager among other things said the following: The manager indicated that the driver was already out of the area so my package will have to be delivered the following day. The manager indicated that upon reading the NOTES on the system UPS contacted my wife and informed her of this fact. The problem with the alleged NOTES that she had been reading from her system, and the claims made therein is that no such call was ever made and my wife could NOT have been contacted because she was AT work and had NOT yet arrived at home. A statement to the effect has already been taken from her MNICHOLAS STAT. The following questions surrounding the failure to deliver my package ON TIME MUST be answered: 1. WHY DID THE DRIVER ASK FOR PAYMENT WHEN PAYMENT WAS MADE ? 2. WHY AFTER LEARNING AND CONFIRMING THAT PAYMENT WAS MADE HE/SHE COULD NOT BE CONTACTED TO RETURN WITH THE PACKAGE ? 3. WHY DID THE MANAGER ASK FOR MR. LEE ? UPSTN REC2 4. WHO PLACED THE NOTES ON THE SYSTEM INDICATING THAT MY WIFE HAD BEEN CONTACTED WHEN THIS WAS PATENTLY FALSE ? 5. IS IT THE SANCTIONED POLICY OF UPS THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS MAKE FALSE ENTRIES INTO THE SYSTEM TO COVERUP THE GROSS INCOMPETENCE OF UPS AND/OR ITS AGENTS ? 6. WHY DID THE MANAGER INDICATE THAT THE NOTE ON THE SYSTEM STATED THAT ATTEMPTS WERE MADE BY THE SUPERVISOR TO CONTACT ME HOWEVER THE CALL WAS DISCONNECTED ? UPSTN REC3 I await your response in this urgent matter of mutual interest Regards Ted Nicholas, CFE, CFS CERTIFIED FRAUD EXAMINER CRETIFIED FRAUD SPECIALIST read more

Horrible service more than once, Today I waited all day for a package (which contained a charger for my macbook from apple). Updated tracking just after 6pm that my address was wrongly stated so they couldn't deliver it. It wasn't wrong at all, I double checked 10 times before ordering it, I called UPS to "update my information", had to wait on the phone for 10 minutes and they were like "oh, its the same one we have here..." (what a surprise). What a waste of my time.. I'm livid. This isn't the first time UPs has done something horrible, they once left a $100+ dollar item in front of my house (there's a doorbell, at least ring it?). I have never had a problem with any postal service as much as I have with UPS. read more

First of all, i purchase a produce online from costco and deviled by UPS. online shows it would be delivered in 5 business day. after 2 weeks of not arriving, i went online to check the status on the tracking. it shows delayed because driver couldn't access to the apartment (i didn't receive ANY sticker showing that they came to my apartment) . then i called UPS and asked when it will be arriving, customer service called and she said the next day, i said how about sending it to my work, which opens 24/7 at lease for sure someone would be there, then she said there will be a charge for any address changes, i said how about ME picking up the product at any of your UPS store, then she said there's still gonna be a charge (WHAT???). Then i said forget it, i'll just wait at home for the delivery. again, i waited the ENTIRE DAY and still it never came. called back the second time, she said the exact same then, "the next business day", i said to her, i want this to be delivered to my work address and i will NOT be paying for any charges for deliver. Next day it came to my work. terrible terrible service, never will i recommend to anyone to UPS. read more

so to continue my bad experience with ups, i was able to pay the cod/brokerage fees online to the customer service rep. and when the package arrrived and a family member received the package, the driver asked for them to pay the c.o.d fees. so my family member paid them (not knowing that i had already paid.) so they double charged me. and now i have to call them and try to get my money back. terrible. should've gone with usps and avoided this mess. read more

UPS has to be the worst delivery courier out there. I have a 2 month old and being home often now, I get many deliveries (purchases & gifts). I have dealt with many different couriers. I live in an apartment building (2nd floor) and numerous times have been told I must come down to receive the package (which I do every time with a babe on my arm knowing apt buildings must be more of a nuisance than your typical home), however, not great customer service. That being said, what upsets me most is twice now I have received the delivery notice on my building door when I have been home all day; meaning they didn't even buzz me. The second time this happened, I actually saw the truck pull up, got me and babe ready to potentially go down to pick it up then saw that the truck was no longer there but there was my notice. Thanks bro. I wish companies would stop using ups as it isn't my choice to deal with you. For all the good ups employees, I'm sorry, see if Canada post is hiring, by far my fav. read more

Apple should fire UPS as their delivery company. I ordered an item from apple.com and, as I'm not home during the day and don't want to sit in waiting for UPS to show up, I requested that the package be left at the Yaletown UPS store for pick-up. UPS said that Apple didn't allow items to be left at the UPS store, and I'd have to pick it up at the airport depot. I didn't fancy driving all the way to the airport to pick up a $20 item, so I phoned Apple and they said "no problem" and offered to phone UPS to sort it out. No dice - apparently UPS lied, it's not Apple's rule but UPS' rule. Even after a direct request from Apple, UPS refused to leave the package at my local store. So I had to drive to the UPS airport depot after work (guess what they're closed on the weekend - how convenient!) and wait in line for 30mins with a bunch of other bitter Vancouverites who've been screwed by UPS. Other than using UPS in the first place, Apple were great - they apologized for UPS' behaviour and gave me the item for free due to the inconvenience. UPS useless and unapologetic. read more

at one time ups would deliver the item to my home without a signautre if i asked.. if it did need a signature it would send the item to the depot(store) which is approximately 9 blocks away.. now the last three shipments have been sent to areas in town which i would never set foot in.. the packages i am told are never there.... i just dont understand why the cannot continue shipping to the closest access point to my house... sorry costoc no more ordering from you since it is such a hassle to get the parcel read more

Can UPS do ANYTHING right?!!! That is the question of the century. Friends, lend me your ears and I shall tell you of an unbelievable tale that happened not long ago. From Fort Lauderdale, I had 2 packages to be shipped to Vancouver. They said it would cost $150ish before repacking everything, but charged me $650. Supposed to arrive by April 11. Nothing. I check tracking numbers, they're "delivered" back to Florida because no commercial invoice supplied. SERIOUSLY?? Contact original sender - shifts blame onto drivers. Who knows? It's a mystery. Finally re-sends to Vancouver. You'd think these 2 packages are shipped together but NOOOOO. First attempt at package number one, I'm not home. I get a notice. So far somewhat so good. I call UPS and tell them I work 9-5 won't be home next day, need delivery after 5pm. Driver is supposed to call me to confirm time by 9:20am next day. I wait, no call. I get home, no 2nd attempt infonotice paper thingy. I log in online, the package is being sent back Florida upon sender's request. WTF?!! I made NO such request! Turns out, they buzzed my neighbour. THEY DIDN'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE THE PREVIOUS DAY BUT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINES THEY MIXED UP A "4" WITH A "5"!!! This is why it's important to stay in school, kids. When I do get it, they collect $91 for a 21 lb parcel. Now where's package #2? I ask original sender for tracking numbers of new items. She gave me old ones. SERIOUSLY?? I finally get new tracking number for 2nd item, log in online only to find out "action pending" since there was no address on the damn thing. WTF?!!! I call them and they tell me they need to collect $383 for brokerage/customs fees for an item that is also 21 lb when the first package only cost $91!!!! Googled "UPS brokerage fees scam" and found out I don't have to be held hostage by their dumb fees. Going to clear customs by myself. NEVER EVER EVER EVERRRRRR GOING TO USE THESE INCOMPETENT IDIOTS AGAIN!! How are they able to stay in business when even on my order, made numerous errors?!!! By the way, it is April 25, and I still have yet to receive the whole shipment that should have been delivered by April 11. read more

Ordered an important package be shipped and the staff at the franchise transcribed the postal code incorrectly on one letter so the package was being sent to the wrong city. I paid for guaranteed express over night delivery but you can't correct the address until it has had one failed delivery attempt... so if they accept your package at the wrong address you are screwed. Well my package never got delivered so I was stuck emailing and calling trying to have it corrected. It took them a week (a few different staff that I exchanged a dozen emails and two very long angry phone calls with) to correct my address and then it took a few more days to get my package once it was finally corrected. From shipment to delivery it was 10 days to get my so called guaranteed 24 hour delivery at a cost of $31.75. Now I have exchanged an additional dozen emails, multiple angry phone calls and a trip to the franchise trying to get a refund on their horrible service. They blame everything on the incorrect postal code and don't take any ownership for their delayed shipping or horrible customer service. read more

How this company stays in business is beyond me. When they mess up a delivery due to their own logistics error, the euphemistic term is "unfortunate exception". You may have to dig to pry the truth from them about the error; it's easier for them to blame the customer. Just try to get an accurate and timely shipping status from their website when this happens. Their poor customer service staff don't have the information and you can wait hours for a dispatcher to call. Their unhelpful guarantee is "as soon as possible." You could sit at home for days waiting for the driver. They will, at least, now re-deliver to the closest UPS facility but there is an additional charge which is not disclosed until you try to pick up your package. (The facility could be way out in no-man's-land, and only open 9 - 5). Don't get me started on their additional, undisclosed cross-border "brokerage" fees. CanadaPost is faster and more reliable for domestic shipments. USPS is just fine for US-to-Canada. read more

Must say it was nice to see that I wasn't the only one with negative experiences with this company - my experiences are pretty much the same. Ordered an iPad from Apple - UPS tracking says it was delivered to my address last Friday and signed for by someone I've never heard of. Worried about this I phoned Apple who apologized and ordered a replacement iPad to be sent. Tuesday this week I come home to see an attempted delivery notice from UPS (First attempt - hmm how come their tracking says it was delivered last week and now they are making the first delivery attempt?) so I went to online chat with UPS and arranged to pick up the package from their depot. That memo obviously got lost somewhere! Wednesday I come home to see I have a second delivery notice. Tried phoning the depot but could only get the automated customer service. In frustration I yelled at the automated voice and said Agent and believe it or not I was actually connected to a live person! No explanations available though - they would put in the pick-up request again. OK, I'm still hopeful that by the end of the week I may be able to pick up my package but in the meantime I have to go through this all again so I can pick up the replacement iPad which was ordered because of UPS's incorrect tracking information, just so I can send it back. If I wasn't banging my head against a brick wall, I could almost laugh! Is this what customer service has become? read more

Many people working here are incompetent at their job. If you are supposed to deliver something on a certain day, deliver it. I waited all day for my package, called to make sure they had the correct address/buzzer code, left a note on the buzzer outside the building and on my mail box so they knew which buzzer to ring. Called UPS to make sure it was coming today as if it did not it was going to be sent back to the retailer. Missed our dinner plans as we waited until 7 PM, and nothing came. I called but their office closes before their delivery ends, checked online, and no new information. I checked this morning and they claim they came last night even though they 100% did NOT. Unless the deliverers are seriously illiterate and weren't able to read my name or buzzer code. There was no note in the mailbox. They lied and said they were here and I was unable to retrieve the package. Total bull. I was even watching from the window for the truck as I was that desperate. I will do my best to avoid all purchases from stores that use UPS as their carrier. Worst service ever. read more
