I had surgery on a herniated disc in my back in December. Before my surgery, I worked with PT…read morewithin the Duke and UNC systems. For my recovery, I was looking for a more sports focused place. I found Athletic Advantage through their website. I really look forward to my appointments. Early on, we took it easy to make sure that I was healing and not pushing too fast. As I've been recovering, the intensity of my therapy sessions has increased and it's more like working out than just getting therapy. I am sore the next day, but in that good way that means I'm getting stronger. We mix in new exercises to keep me fresh mentally and physically, and they have set me up with a number of exercises to do at home between visits. Their goal is to get you better so you don't have to keep coming in forever. I've been working with Nate, and he is awesome. He is genuinely invested in me, is very familiar with my status and pace and connects with me on a personal level. The administrative staff is friendly, too. They give me a printout of my appointments, and I receive robo-calls the night before to remind me. There are also many student aides who help throughout your training. Everyone is friendly, but they are tough! They will make sure you stick to the proper form and are doing the exercises the correct way. I have had a tremendous experience and I know my improvement is due in large part to them. I would give 10 stars if I could and would recommend to anyone who is recovering from an injury or surgery and wants to get back into shape. Their location is on Fayetteville Road at the end of a office/shopping strip. I've submitted an update to Yelp, and hopefully they'll adjust it soon. It's actually adjacent to the parking lot for the American Tobacco Trail, but those parking lots don't connect.

I have enjoyed my treatment. Yes, it can hit but it's a good hurt that pushes me and has helped me feel so much better.

The Sweat Lab is awesome! You will dance, you will drop it low, you will shake it, you will flex it…read moreand most of all you will SWEAT! The instructors are not only fun and spirited, they push you to keep going whether your cycling, holding a plank or doing repetitive arms. I appreciate the challenge in the classes as well as the different studio wide challenges that they encourage everyone to partake in! I also appreciate how welcoming and personable everyone! Thanks Sweat Lab!

Even after coming to new hope commons for years I am only just finding this hole in the wall!…read more I did the Sculpt class with Bridget and boy was it tough. It was a full body work out in 50 mins and I think it was pretty fast paced but got in some burns. I think my preference would be slower paced work outs but the choreography was interesting and made sense for a full body session! The place is a little hard to find but thankfully I followed others who were in fitness clothes and made my way upstairs ok. The studio used was clean and I loved that all of our supplies were set out with a mat all ready to go. I do wish the classes orientation (the room itself) wasn't so narrow and long as it was hard to see the instructors movements around other people but she did her best to go on each side of the room for the exercises and did them all with us which was also nice. Can't speak on price since I found this place through class pass but I do think if you are looking for a hard, fast paced, heart rate up, and well rounded class this one was a good one
