They have story time several times during the week at various branches and they are what, FREE! My little and I hit up the story time today. They read about three books, had a dance break and visuals! I am super pleased that I found this, as we will definitely coming back! The kids had a wonderful time listening to stories, marching and dancing, so much so that my little came home and was ready for a nap! I love this library, it is so welcoming, the staff are so friendly, and they have activities for smaller children and teens. You can't go wrong coming here!

And the sad part is the librarians sit, watch and do nothing about it. This is sad. I have never seen a library like this. I brought it up to a friend and she said that's why she stopped coming to this branch.

However, I feel that in comparison to some of the other libraries that they have a lesser selection of books, which is a bummer. But, you can just request books from other locales to be sent to you. I visit this library at least once a week, if not twice, and everyone on staff there is friendly and welcoming (props to Mr. S especially!) This place is tricked out. The facility and its bathrooms are clean and well maintained. It has self-checkout, and a 'help yourself' shelf for your hold items. The only thing I might ask for is a bigger selection of titles at this branch. Often, newer books are only in the bigger branches. This was my first visit to the this library since I moved to the area last February. As I decided…read moreone of my resolutions was that I wanted to get back into reading so this was the first step! So I went inside on February 1st to use the computer as I needed to prints some copies. The library is less than 5-minutes from my house so very convenient location. When I walked in I was greeted by the nice lady at the desk. She signed me up for my library card and gave me a quick overview of the library. What I really liked was that you get free copies up to 10 pages each day. Which at my last library you paid for every sheet! So after I printed out what I needed I walked around the library to see what they had to offer. Now the library is on the smaller size so they didn't have loads of books, but I loved the selection they had and checked out my first of many books. I also really liked that they give you like 3-weeks before the book is due which is awesome because it's been a while since I read a book unfortunately. So to give me that long I'll be able to definitely finish the first one of many books without any problems. The library has a nice open set up with the computers located in the middle, private rooms, teen area, and also for the younger kids a nice selection. I also like they have some comfy chair areas that you can sit and enjoy your book as well. I can't wait to come back!

I came in today hoping to retrieve it, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. I completely understand that putting it in the drop box was my mistake. However, since it had been there less than a day, I was surprised to hear it was not in the lost and found, especially after being told that items like that are normally placed behind the desk. Unfortunately, it seems the book may have been taken instead. What upset me most was the lack of concern from the staff member helping me. When I asked if I could leave my name in case the book turned up, she walked away before I even finished speaking. A little empathy or willingness to help would have gone a long way. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of accountability or concern is what guarantees I won't be returning.

If I were to do it again, I'd follow the order online of how to view the Library of Congress, and I'd time the viewing of the library itself to be the last part. Fun fact: you also can get a library card for the Library of Congress! As long as if you fill out the form and have an ID, you can get a library card the same day and it'll last for 2 years.

Yes, their nursing program was over-saturated (too many applicants, not enough advisors), but it ran like a well-oiled machine regardless. They didn't depend on me to supervise every step of every transition like switching majors the way other universities do. Soooo much information is available in your student portal that I almost never had to step foot in the admin hall (though as a new student, navigating their sites was like entering a labyrinth). I was shocked to learn having a waiting list was not a universal thing and they actually notify you once a spot opens, as opposed to my current school who makes you log in and check several times a day... every day... and then still gives unspecific error messages. They use Canvas which has SIGNIFICANTLY less issues than Blackboard. Yes, I have had some troublesome professors but every issue was handled beautifully by the administration, and even so it only came to this point twice. Some of the best teachers I've ever had the blessing to encounter are tucked away in here. I miss my professors, my peers, the atmosphere, I miss everything!
