If you've ever had the daunting task of finding a good barber, you know just how tedious it is. Are they going to cut your hair in a timely manner, or they going to sit and chat with their regular for two hours while you cool your heels reading crappy magazines? Are they going to give a decent haircut, or are you going to walk around for a month looking like you got your head caught in a hay baler? Does he treat your head like, say, a human head, or does it feel like he's peeling a large, lumpy, difficult potato, practically cutting your ears off with his comb? I've been all over the world, and the above war stories are but a, eh, scratch on the surface. Imagine my delight when I moved to Riverside earlier this year, when I came here for a cut and found, on the first try, the perfect barber! I've had about 5 haircuts by three barbers here, and I'm a happy camper! They're usually busy, but still quick. They're friendly, the place is clean, they even have a pool table if you're waiting or just want to hang out. And they actually cut my hair the way I like it! Can't ask for more than that. read more

Be careful going here. Guy didn't listen to a word I said. Asked for a high fade and to just trim any fly aways on the top. He forgot what he was doing half way through and shaved the top of my head. At least I got a free haircut. read more

Do not come here! My son just walked in with a head full of hair, asked for just a trim and clean up the sides. He came out with an uneven haircut, his left side is twice as long as his right side and his trim took 80 percent of his length! Absolutely the worst hair cut he's ever had. read more

Told her what I wanted and she took all the bulk off the sides and wants to give me a taper instead of a fade like I asked and left hairs around my ear read more

I called a few places for a MUCH needed haircut and came to find out that most places now are appointment only because of The Rona... mostly all were booked up so I drove around and came across this place. Glad I did. The place was spacious and air conditioned.. (it was hot that day) the lady who cut my hair was nice and she did a good job. I loved my cut I'd come back for sure. Price was $20 read more

No mask, no covid protocols in place. Just one big free for all. If you're immune compromised, STAY AWAY. Always took my son here and came back, to see no precautions being taken. Also, the giant "LET'S GO BRANDON" flag by the owner's station should clue you in on what type of establishment this is. I guess it's great if that's what you're into, but we don't mix our politics with our haircuts. Gross. read more

are excellent at what they do excellent Fades they are great even with Women's hair and they very friendly and have great service! They strive to be the best, and they treat you like family read more

Garbage...been here 3 times. They messed my cut up twice. I was to nice to say anything at the time. Then today I go there because I haven't had a cut and other places are closed. First I walk in and the owner tells me the atm is broke so I go get money from the smoke shop for my cut and I come back and sit down and the guy tells me 25 for a fade!!!!!!! I've never paid 25 at a barbershop for a fade. Then I ask why no one said anything when I went to the smoke shop so I could pull out the right money, and the guy goes,( you can go somewhere else its 25 because we are not supposed to be open). Like what??? I walked right out past the owner and he didn't say a word! Horrible place to go, the barbers there don't even know how to cut a bald man's hair! read more

If it gave me the option to not add a star I would! This place to a joke, I can care about the music they play. The customer service is none existent. What is the point of having sign in sheet when they don't bother to check it. They grab who ever the hell they want. Signed in at 11:40am on a Sunday. It wasn't until some kid signed in around 12:54pm and was pulled ASAP. At that point I was fucken done sitting here and waiting. I checked the list and seen that 6 other people have come and gone after my kid was signed in. No one bother to ask "hey have you been helped", "what's your name", "do you have an appointment", not one fucken word. I had to say something for my kid to finally get seated in a chair. These adults need to take a class on customer service! read more

I was referred by a friend and when I arrived they asked how did I hear about them I told them alfredo they all remembered him and actually described him, shows how they care about their clients I since then have gone back and have had great experiences and even my picky teenage boys go there now Can't wait to go back read more

Worst customer service EVER. Waited for over an hour was told walk ins were fine. Then they help a customer who came way after me before me because not one employee said I need to sign in. Honestly if the employees don't want to be there maybe it's time to look for a new job?. read more

Took my son here, was asked to leave the length, which was not done, cut way to short, looks like a bowl cut $25 is way to much for a hair cut that was not cut properly. read more

Worse barbers in town!!! I asked for a low fade and they fucked my hair up with a high fade !! They suck !! I will never return here !! I don't recommend this place to anyone!! WORSE BARBER IN TOWN!! read more

I've been happy with this barber shop for a while. I've gotten good cuts from good barbers at good prices. But today I had a pretty crappy experience. I took a book to read while I wait because they sometimes have a waiting period. I don't mind the wait because they usually do good work. Today there was no wait and I was sat at a red chair with a barber named Anthony. He shook his cape, greeted me and was just about to start my cut when someone told him there were donuts in the break area. So he walks away from me without saying a word and proceeds to take his break while I'm waiting in the cutting chair. I wish he would have just left me in the waiting seats, but instead they had me ready to go and he completely ignores me. I can see my barber in the back room eating a donut and laughing it up while I'm waiting like a dope. I had this guy cut my hair before and last time he was busy talking with someone else to give me much attention. He just seemed careless and I felt unimportant and like I was bugging him. So out comes another barber and I asked, "Can you cut my hair? Because my guy went to break." and he said no, because my guy was almost done. So I've had it at this point and when Anthony comes out I say "You didn't have to sit me down." and he just says "Alright." so I get up and leave. What made it worse is that I saw four other barbers not working on anyone's hair at that time, but here I am waiting on my guy to finish his donut while I'm forced to watch him enjoy himself. I felt unwelcomed and unwanted. I drove a few miles up the road to Empire Barbershop and spent my money having a great conversation with a good barber there. I'm not sure if I'll be back to Uppercuts. If I do go back there's no way I'll ever sit with Anthony again. He needs to not have his clients feel like they're a bother. The owner, Noe, is great. A middle eastern man there is great. Rigo is great. Anthony made me feel small and I refuse to give my money to those who work so unprofessionally. read more

Darrell is back so I decided to give them another try. He was busy so I went with Rudy. Overall my cut was fresh. Thanks Rudy! I'll definitely be back. read more

I would not recommend this spot to anyone the barbers here are un professional! I will never come back here again ! I will let riverside residents know as well the barbers are intoxicated on the job! Make sure you check you're hair cut out before leaving !!! Great place but Sallie was probably one of the rudest people there. Had an attitude, refused to cut my sons hair. He's almost 2 and wouldn't let me sit with him! But I lov read more

ive been searching for a great barbershop, thats affordable, and friendly and i think i have found it. the owner is friendly and really welcomes you to the place. all his barbers seem legit and they have many of the old school barbershop services available, if not all. they have many barbers on deck, so getting served in time is not a problem. if you need something to do while you wait, they have darts, and a pool table, just bring your own quarters. very kid friendly. read more

Simply the best in the IE. Even on a Friday afternoon when it's super busy I didn't have to wait long at all. I don't wait for any specific barber ever and every barber gets my face perfect. read more

I've heard great things in the past about the cuts from here when it first opened. So I figured it would be ideal when my sons usual barber was out of town. No. The service was absolutely horrible. I mean HORRIBLE. Not a single stylist acknowledges people as they walk in and they make it apparent that you are just another head by not even making eye contact with any guests. The wait was OVER THREE HOURS, I'm not kidding there was not a single staff member who was helpful or understanding as regulars were taken, regardless of long they'd been waiting over other patrons. Furthermore, stylists would actually vape on the floor while cutting and while people waited, which seemed completely unprofessional. As a mom, I don't want that exposure around my son in a establishment. I do not recommend and I highly suggest the owner truly consider customer appreciation. read more

Seems like a cool place and right around the corner from my house. I've tried this place twice , just hoping for a decent haircut cause of how convenient the location is. But both times I was sacrificed to a mediocre barber . When I 1st got there , the receptionist was going to set me up with a different person , till another dumbass barber who's station is just to the right when u enter, 1st chair as u enter the attached area, open his month and told her to let another lady do it. All tho she was very nice , she gave me the worst haircut I've ever had , but last December, I took my dad with me , and a bit of the same . I'm almost positive that the owner and a couple others in there can cut hair really well. But I will never know, cause I will never go back! Unless it's to kick the asshole barber ass who open his mouth to begin with! read more

Noe always hooks it up super clean! Even when the place is packed you don't need to wait long with all the barbers on staff! Perfect way to get weekend started #FreshToDeath #OnPoint #YeaBoi! #uppercuts read more

I have generally had decent experiences here, until I asked the owner to cut my 3-year-old son's hair today. What a complete ass. He cut one side and my son (3 years old mind you) began to get a little restless. At this point, the owner refused to continue. Not only did he refuse to continue, he mentioned that he would fire anybody who would continue to cut when the child gets restless. He sent us away with my son's hair completely jacked and told us to go pay $25 to cut his hair in the mall. They claim to be family friendly, but this experience says otherwise. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

Got a great haircut and the staff is really friendly here. Fast service too. In and out in 35 minutes. The owner even introduced himself to me after I told the barber that it was my first time because I just moved to the area. read more

I'd rather take an upper cut from Canelo than let that dude put clippers to my dome piece again. Rudy is a good barber but does not deserve the bad rep some of these other guys are giving him. I'm not sure about all the guys but one definitely should not be cutting hair (if I knew his name I'd say). I'm pretty sure Helen Keller would've done a better job on my dome. I'm not joking, I'm literally being serious. read more

Been coming here for years!! Best service and friendly employees. I see Noe like family

We have been coming here for almost 3yrs now. We started coming here for my son when he was 1. We took him to the "kiddie" haircut place in the mall and for the price they did the WORST JOB. Our first barber we got was Rudy and he was AMAZING with his precision and attention to detail and his patience with our son. We have also worked with Dante when Rudy is not there or busy and we LOVE Dante as well. They both are younger guys but keep it professional during the haircut and are great with my son who is now going to be 4. He is now so comfortable with a haircut that he sits better then adults. Love this place and we love Rudy and Dante. read more
