Last tip, they are connected to the parking lot that has SOUPer Bowl, a fantastic sandwich and soup place!

We had figured that we would splurge on the Cadillac plan next year when we would have the full year to take advantage of it. So of course, I busted my knee. D'oh! It would have cost about $2,500 to get the MRI done locally between the imaging and the radiologist fee, so I started shopping around for lower cost MRI locations, and had a sensibly found one in Hillsdale Michigan that was going to be about 800 including the radiologist fee. They were booking several weeks out so I had to wait quite a while for the appointment, and the day before the appointment it became clear that they had misquoted me and it was going to cost just as much as at Bronson in Kalamazoo. I stumbled upon website that purported to connect people with low cost MRIS, and they connected me with this place. Honestly, I thought there was no way it wasn't a scam since it was exponentially less expensive than other options, and they were even going to be able to get me in within 24 hours of my inquiry. Not only was it legit, they were incredibly thorough with my scans (I was in the machine for about 45 minutes), and they provided an incredibly detailed report to my doctor and surgeon. The office manager here is a gem! I wish all my medical visits were as easy and affordable as this one!

It was 91* on this August afternoon and the office, waiting and procedure rooms were clean and very cool not warm or hot at all. I paid out of pocket at checkout and $399.00 was my bill. Yes of course United Healthcare denied my coverage with their explanation "it was determined this service is not medically necessary". Why is allowed that some moron sitting behind a cubicle in Minnesota allowed to override my sports dr opinion and treatment? Anyway, the staff here at MRI of Southfield are friendly, explain things as we go along, professional and accommodating. Just FYI, the same MRI at Henry Ford is $415.00 and they were scheduling into October. We will definitely come back for any imaging needed in the future.

They offered transportation services at no cost and were very prompt with the pickup. I arrived to the office and was immediately assisted. The girls at the front were very welcoming and assured me that I would be seen in just a few minutes. The office has a very comforting environment and vibe where refreshments, snacks and drinks are available to enjoy. It was very quick service and the machine was wide and didn't interfere with my claustrophobia. I was comfortable in it. I was treated very well and will tell everyone about the great experience I received at this facility.

This place is just so much easier, they actually have real people that answer the phone and scheduling was super easy. Getting my most recent MRI was easier here than getting my haircut! I have been to hospitals and just the check in process can take 20 minutes and the parking is horrible. I parked right out the front door. I was filling out the paperwork 10 seconds after walking in and the wait was about 10 minutes before I was getting the MRI. I researched the cost and was surprised to find that hospitals get paid over $1200 for this service but places like this charge much less. I read that other review and that is not my experience. You go to a doctor and your insurance pays what it pays. I don't know about everyone else but when I go to a medical appointment I give them my health insurance card and whatever the insurance pays it pays and I pay my share - just a deductible with my policy. I felt very comfortable with her. It's a quick and easy experience. I would have loved to give them 5 stars because I am true believer in this company but the girl behind the front desk did not give me a great first impression. When I walk into a company I want to be greeted in a way where I feel they are happy to see me. I mean, that person is the face of the company at that point, and with Thermascan being kind of the "underdog" of breast exams, I think a more upbeat, "alive" greeting would have been great! I was already feeling a bit vulnerable, always a little nerve wrecking waiting on results and such. I can't be the only one, right?!:) Maybe I expect more since I myself work behind a desk of a company and I make sure every single person that walks in that door is going to want to come back. The office was a little challenging to find, as it was further down the street than my GPS thought. It's a large building with lots of windows. Inside, the main waiting area is open and airy. The associates at the sign-in desk were patient and helpful. When I was concerned that my appointment time was 20 minutes past and I was still waiting, someone very kindly explained to me that more tests had been ordered on the previous patient and it would just be another ten minutes. It wasn't even that long, thankfully. When I finally met with the technician, she was respectful and compassionate. I can't say anything for the results, but I doubt they'd have stayed in business more than 20 years if they weren't doing the basics right ;)
