I originally scheduled a cleaning (which i made pretty clear that's what my appointment was for) and also wanted my wisdom tooth checked since it was hurting. When I arrived, I was told they would not be doing a cleaning that day and that I would need a separate appointment so they only examined my wisdom tooth and recommended removal. After that, I was told to wait in the lobby so someone could explain the next steps for surgery. I waited around 40 minutes, and I was very patient and made it clear I was still waiting. Someone eventually came up, realized I had been waiting, and had another staff member speak with me. Even then, I waited another 10-15 minutes. When I was finally seen, the explanation was very quick (less than 5 minutes) and I did not receive any real information about how to prepare for surgery or what to expect. The staff member also seemed rushed and uninterested. On the day of surgery, I was told I had a copay of over $175 without being informed beforehand. I also explained the lack of communication from the previous visit, but it felt like that concern was ignored. I was not given any prior call or clear preparation instructions. Additionally, my medication was sent to a pharmacy I had already asked them not to use for the second time. The only positive part of my experience was the surgeon and surgical assistant, who were kind and professional during the procedure itself. Otherwise, the communication and organization leading up to it could definitely be improved.

Unfortunately, my experience with the receptionist left me absolutely sick over the carelessness and disrespect of my time, money, and resources: I was very transparent when I first contacted Ever After Dental regarding the poor experiences that I received at a previous dentists office and I provided all of my insurance information well in advance before physically visiting the office. The receptionist verified that their services were covered under my insurance, and we even had an email correspondence where I verified that I did not need to complete the out of network authorization paperwork because it did not apply to me. I scheduled the suggested follow up services, then received a predetermination that stated the doctor was out of network. I contacted the insurance and subsequently Ever After Dental: ultimately the receptionist was able to contact the insurance and verify what the insurance said is true in less than 20 minutes with no additional information from me, but could not do that prior to my visit. When questioned as to why this wasn't done prior to my visit despite my providing all of the information required and having the email correspondence regarding this explicitly, she could not take responsibility for her actions. She kept asking what I wanted out of this conversation and I had to explain to her that I needed to know her negligence was the reason I wasted an entire days worth of sick time for this visit that wasn't going to go anywhere. She could not. Don't waste your time. Find another dentist who's receptionist is responsible enough to do their job 100%

I'm very sensitive when getting my teeth worked on, and I explained that before we started. I'm not sure if he was listening, because when he began cleaning my teeth I started gagging -- and instead of giving me water, he handed me Listerine. I didn't realize it wasn't water, so I rinsed quickly and ended up choking on it. After finishing the top part of my mouth, I gagged again and asked for water. He tried to give me water but didn't actually spray any into my mouth. When I said something about it, he acted like he didn't want to help me anymore, almost as if he was annoyed that I was upset, even though I only got upset because of how he was handling the situation. Then he told me I was the one with the attitude, which wasn't true until after everything that happened. And the manager wasn't any help either. She kept telling me that I couldn't talk that way, but didn't say anything to him even though he was the one speaking to me disrespectfully. She didn't step in, tell him to walk away, or ask him to stop talking to me like that. Overall, the whole interaction left me confused, embarrassed, and very uncomfortable.
