Good tour if you don't know anything about Milwaukee. Mike was very knowledgeable about the city and readily answered questions. We felt there were times it was a bit rushed. Also, there was an elderly couple on the tour with us, but no attempt was made to stand near the door to assist or make sure no one fell. We feel that would have been a professional and polite thing to do. Also, a nice gesture would have been to keep a cooler of cold, small water bottles for tour guests, especially on super hot days. read more

Mike did a great job with our tour today. One stop is at a cheese shop, another is a brewery tour. I don't drink beer and they offered me a local root beer. The tour offered great information about the city. I would recommend doing the tour early in your trip. The tour was so informative and fun too. I learned much more than I expected and saw more of the city than expected too. I loved the mural alley. Mike is engaging and funny if not a bit corny. He aims to please. Two of our guests were running late so he walked us around city hall- not a moment was wasted. Absolutely funtastic and so interesting. The guide (Mike) was so knowledgeable, took his time and showed my family from out of town an amazing overall intro to MIlwaukee and it's history. I'm from Milwaukee, lived here for 60 plus years and even I learned lots of facts I never knew! Mike was funny, really easy to talk to and just an A-1 guide! The tour starts with a bit of walking as he explained the history of City Hall, the theater district and the River Walk, where you can have your picture taken with the statue of "The Fonz" from the old TV show Happy Days! He even provided an authentic Fonzie jacket if you wanted to wear it while standing next to the statue Next came the bus tour through the east side, a stop at the lighthouse in Lake Park, a stop at the Art museum, and a stop at MIlwaukee City market. Super fun tour! My boyfriend and I were visiting Milwaukee for the first time and we're both big tour people, so whenever we travel we always try to hit up at least one. We were so pleased to find Untapped Tours and snagged the last two spots on the Sunday 10am tour! The guide, MKE Mike, was very knowledgable about all things Milwaukee and designed a great tour that took us all around the city and helped us find some spots we definitely wouldn't have otherwise. We started at City Hall, went to the Art Museum and through so many different neighborhoods in the city. I particularly liked that there were opportunities to get off the bus for 10-15 minutes throughout and explore interesting spots like Black Cat Alley and North Point Lighthouse. It wrapped up perfectly with a mini-brewery tour at Lakefront. I've taken a lot of different tours in different cities, and this is easily one of the best! We had a great time! Mike (the owner) is incredibly responsive to email inquiries. His tour accommodated my 8-year old daughter. We were joined with a lovely group of four and had a great time. The pace of the tour was perfect; it was a nice mix of walking and bus touring with several short stops and two longer stops that included bathroom breaks. The final stop provided an opportunity to shop for lunch, a snack, or just coffee/drinks. The format was a nice mix of sightseeing, hearing historical facts, and sharing some light humor. This was the best use of two hours visiting a new city and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Milwaukee for the first time. THIS is the Milwaukee brewery tour you want to go on!! We had a group for a 30th birthday in March. It's a huge value, stops at great breweries with unique tours at each one. Mike, however, is what makes Untapped the best one! He was essentially another friend in the group from the start- but the adult friend we all need to make sure everyone is having fun and everyone makes it back to the bus before it leaves, haha. He has lots of interesting information and was all at once super professional and super down to earth. He chatted with every one of us, he was genuine happy to show everyone a good time. It's clear that every brewery on his tour is happy to work with him, and it's abundantly clear why! Also, he's the owner of this tour company, which I learned near the end! This has to be be one of the best brewery tours I have been on in the US. So for the price you get tour four breweries and you get two drinks at each place. Our guide Michael was AWESOME!!! Great three hour tour of Milwaukee. You ride in the short bus (only 11 passengers), but it's the cool short bus. Mike, our tour guide, was very personable and engaging. You make a few stops during the tour, to take pictures and stretch your legs. You also stop at a cheese factory and a brewery for a tasting. FYI The underground parking across from City Hall costs $16 for parking. Consider parking further away for hopefully significantly less. For 2019 the trolley is free to ride and picks up at designated stops every 15-20 minutes. Experience a ride on the trolley. It stops one block from City Hall where the tour meets to start. read more

Visiting Milwaukee for the first time and didn't know what to expect. This tour was the best way to start are trip! (We literally left the airport, dropped our bags, and met up with Mike). He was supper knowledgeable, funny, and did a great job introducing us to this awesome city. This is a three hour bus tour that goes over the highlights of the city. Mike the tour guide is really nice and knowledgeable, but the tour itself is sorta average (it didn't help that it was pouring the whole time). The last stop on the tour is a visit to the Lakefront Brewery, which was pretty boring - it is essentially an opportunity to get some beer/souvenirs and listen to an overly excitable guy there make some vulgar/crass jokes and walk you thru a brief history of the brewery without actually showing you anything inside the brewing process. So, I'd recommend this if you're in the city for a really short period of time and need to see the highlights, but nothing exceptional. read more

This is the best tour of unique and great micro breweries around! I've lived in the Milwaukee area all my life and I love beer! I've done/visited many of the local breweries but 3 of the 4 that Mike picked out, I've never tried and they were AMAZING! Each brewery had something different about them and since it's such a small group you really get a different "tour" experience. I love that each brewery didn't drone on about how beer is made, but rather how each got their start and why they make beer. We were visiting Milwaukee and some friends joined us for a couple of days. We found an ad for this tour and booked it. It was a most fortunate find! There were 14 people on the bus--8 of whom were together, a solo couple and the four of us. The tour was led by Mike, the company owner. He is a very knowledgeable and personable guide and provided a very enjoyable three hour tour. Mike has an engaging personality, and started off with the mandatory reference for a three-hour tour--invoking the SS Minnow (probably lost on the younger people on the bus). We made our way through the city, with several stops for sightseeing. We hit the various neighborhoods, a cheese factory, a lighthouse, drove by some very impressive mansions, and ended up at the Lakeside Brewery. Mike discussed the history and development of each place, providing an informative and amusing narrative. At the brewery, we were given samples and a lecture by a staff member who was part scientist/part comedian. And then we were given souvenir glasses. Mike dropped us back at the starting point, the city hall. This was a very worthwhile and enjoyable tour. Highly recommended! (The only downside is that we did it at the end of our stay in Milwaukee. We should have done it earlier, so that we would have known what to see more in depth.) read more
