We attended the fiesta friday cruise that set sail at five thirty till seven o'clock. The cruise itself was enjoyable. The weather was great. Unfortunately, the buffet lacked any kind of excitement. I got served better Mexican food in high school. For $35 dollars, I could have ordered everything off the taco bell menu and enjoyed that better. The only option you had were nachos chips or soft shells, ground beef with only cheese, lettuce, salsa sour cream and jalapenos. I understand you pay for the cruise as well. But I've been on other cruises, and the dinner was great, this lacked any kind of fiesta flair.

I have booked two Edelweiss Private events over the past two years for 100+ people and our company loves it! Lindsay, the special events coordinator is awesome to work with! She made planning my event so easy and stress free. I love that we get to cruise the river and go out on the lake. The views are awesome and incase there is bad weather, there's plenty of inside seating. The food is probably a solid three stars (we did a taco bar). It's nothing over the top, but what do you expect for food on a boat? The past two years the bar has run out of Corona for our event. Again, I think this is just because of the lack of storage on the boat but I will be asking for them to stock up on Corona if we do the event again next year. Overall, it's a beautiful setting to take a business group as an alternative to hosting a happy hour. Our company will definitely be back.

My boyfriend snagged a free certificate for 2 for their Happy Hour cruise, I'm surprised no one else has reviewed this specific cruise yet! Let me fill ya in. The cruise is offered each Tuesday & Thursday and leaves at 5:30 pm. They board around 5:20 so plan to be there on time. You load on up behind Pier 106 Seafood Tavern. We get on the boat and my first impression is "Wow, this an old boat". My second impression is "Yay, they have the cocktails & food out already!". On their website it says appetizers are not meant to be a substitution for dinner, um yea right. When I am racing home from work, have to pick up my boyfriend and then find parking, I'm not really going to have time to eat before I board the boat. It would be nice if the cruise started at 5:45 pm just to give us more time to get there. On the menu and included with your $24 ticket: -Unlimited vodka & lemonades. These had really no vodka and the vodka they did have was Burnett's or something else crappy, maybe there was a pirate on the bottle, I'm not sure. But either way, I didn't expect top shelf. I was hoping for an actual buzz though. I heard older folks complaining about this as well. -Advertised meat & vegetarian apps. On that day's menu was caprese "spoons", spinach & artichoke dip with pita, a mountain of assorted cheeses, crackers and summer sausage, and ham and cheese croquettes. The food was okay actually, the dip not so much. There was so much cheese leftover which was too bad. Maybe a little less next time? There were about 45 people on this trip and the boat holds 110, not super crowded. Litterally everyone flocked to the outside patio areas so that got crowded. After you finished your teeny tiny drink of lemonade you had to squeeze through people to get back inside the boat to get a refill. After two of those I decided to pay $6 for a Lakefront IPA. Yes they do have a cash bar and lots of people ended up buying their own drinks because the free one was that bad. The tour goes until 7 pm and is pretty relaxing if you get an outside seat and just take in the sights along the Milwaukee River. They go out into the lake and turn around a bit past Discovery World. Most of the people on this boat were middle aged and quiet, maybe there are times it gets rowdy. They do play music, mostly danceable 90's jams. And yes, there are bathrooms! I was very worried about this before getting on the boat for 1.5 hours. I wouldn't personally do this again unless it were free, but it wasn't the worst way to spend my Tuesday evening.

I really wanted to do a river cruise for my birthday, but I didn't want to break the bank for myself or my friends. Edelweiss had the perfect solution! I booked a Saturday evening (5pm-6:30pm) Margarita Cruise for $30. The drinks were light on booze, but that is to be expected. It was bottomless Margaritas, with a taco bar. I personally did not eat any of the food as I don't trust other people when it comes to open style buffets, but several of my friends were delighted with the tacos and went back for more. Booking the cruise was easy as I was able to set up a group name so it was easy for me to track how many of my friends were attending. One friend waited too long and the cruise was sold out, but after calling the booking office we were able to get all of my friends on the boat hassle free. Truly a fun experience, we all had a great time and enjoyed the unique view that can only be seen from the river. I will definitely be booking another cruise with them!

As a transplant from Michigan to the Milwaukee area I always felt like I was on the wrong side of the lake. Milwaukee in general was awesome but I longed for the nostalgic sunsets you experience on the MI side of the lake. Well that all changed after taking the Happy Hour Sunset Cruise. It gave the view of MKE I've been waiting for and I was lucky to see one of the most gorgeous sunsets ever. We will be going again as drinking and cruising out on the lake make for romance and fun on any occasion.

Went on a dinner cruise with a work event. It was great! The boat is a large enough space that it didn't feel crowded or packed in even with our very large group. The servers and bar tenders were great. Very attentive and helpful. The food was GREAT! The spinach and artichoke dip was some of the best I've ever had. The buffet style main meal was very good. We had several things to chose from and I wasn't disappointed with anything I tried. The turkey was especially delicious - very tender and juicy, not at all dry or cold like you might expect from a buffet on a boat. The cruise along the river and out into the harbor was very nice. It was fun watching all the bridges lift for us as we cruised under. Once we made it out into the harbor there was a beautiful view the MKE skyline. We went all along the Summerfest grounds, into a marina with lots of little boats anchored all around, and out near the lighthouses. Once we came back in to the river we went over to the more industrial side of the river way. This is the only thing I am docking a point for -- IT STUNK! Like wow it was ripe. Smelled like a sewage plant or something along those lines. Thankfully it didn't last very long and we were taken back to fresh air :) I enjoyed the dinner cruise VERY much overall. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun twist on dinner!

Had a couple hours to wander downtown before flight figured this would be the fastest. Bar on the boat and a great bartender. The tour guide was knowledgeable.

This review is for the boat with the tiki covering. We walked from our hotel and entered around the side of the Harp building. When we got there we were greeted by a lovely 4 legged friend, as a dog lover this was lovely. Sadly, the dog did not go on our tour but a different boat. The boat itself has plenty of space for any beverages or snacks. They had ice already ready for our drinks. The seats have a bike seat cushion, but no actual pedals. There was also space at the front of the shop for us to just sit and enjoy the scenery. There are speakers on board so you can hook up to Bluetooth if you want. The captain and his first mate were excellent! They were able to tell us some interesting facts about our surroundings. They took pictures with the background of the bridge and the Milwaukee graffiti. They had a point where you could get a picture wearing the captain's hat behind the steering. It was such a lovely touch to have someone who knew when a good photo opportunity was coming up and was ready to alert us and take our picture. Half way through the trip, we took a break at a restaurant to use the bathroom. We were able to quickly order and receive fries to bring on board. The fries were soooo crispy and delicious. We had booked a public tour and ended up getting along really well the big group that was with us. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. It helped take the whole experience to another level along with all the other little touches. We would definitely do this again. It was a nice way to see the city and to get out of the heat. I've never done a water tour like this and thoroughly enjoyed this! It was relaxing. I could see how some people would party hard on this so if you're looking for that, it's feasible.

I think one hour is probably my limit on a boat, but I was on a group trip that was planned without my input, and I ended up on a cruise that was 2.5 hours. And I didn't find that out until I was seated and we were about to set sail. OK! I was in a dilly of a pickle, but it all turned out fine in the end. But the last 1.5 hours could have not existed and I would have been fine, to be honest. The first 45 minutes of my cruise were action-packed, though! I took the U.S. Mailboat Tour, which took us around Lake Geneva to some of the mansions on the lake that had mailboxes at their docks. I guess mail is still delivered this way, and Lake Geneva is one of the only places in the United States that has this kind of mail delivery. It was fun to see the mail jumpers leap off of the boat and onto the docks to quickly put mail into the mailboxes, all while the boat is moving forward. The mail jumpers have no time to stop -- they have to keep it pushing in order to jump back on the boat! I only saw one person eat it during our cruise, which I think is good. You can sit on the boat deck, which gives you the best views, but it's hella windy, and depending on the weather, can be cold. There's also seating below, which is protected from the elements. There are two restrooms on board, as well as a bar. At first, when I entered the boat and saw the bar, I thought that was weird that there was a guy behind a counter slinging alcoholic drinks. But once I set sail on a 2.5-hour journey, I understood. You need a little something, sometimes. The U.S. Mailboat Tour is very cool and a great way to learn more about Lake Geneva. I do think it could have been 1.5 hours shorter, but I'm an editor, and I'm always looking for ways to tighten things up. I think if you are kid-free and have a little drink (or two) in your hand, then a 2.5-hour cruise might suit you more.

The service was amazing, super sweet employees. The Santa cruise was a perfect amount of time and the set ups across the lake were spectacular. The story that went along with each light set up was so cute! My daughter was so excited when Santa said her name was on the nice list. The only thing I wish I knew was the left side of the boat is the place to be... we were on the right side and our window was facing the middle of the dark lake.
