Now that my wife and I are officially retired, we wanted to invite my brother and sister along with their spouses to come. We decided to come on Saturday when they were celebrating Scandinavian heritage. We arrived right when they opened and stayed until they closed. Overall we had a good time and my wife and I noticed many new improvements that were added since the last time we came. There were a couple of items that I wanted to share by email to the staff at OWW both positive and helpful criticism. Since it was somewhat crowed that day one of the items related to how they operate their tram schedule and the other item had to do with their food service (they could not keep up with the line). I sent my email to the main one. No response. Sent it a second time and they follow up that they didn't get it. I asked if they had specific emails to the guest services staff and she gave me those emails and I wrote them both. No response. I even included my phone number. I emailed the original email again and she said she would get it to them herself. Still no response. I gave up after that. I have been in guest service for most of my life and would value feedback good and bad. That's how you improve. Would I still go back - probably. I am just disappointed that they were not willing to follow up with me. OWW has a lot of great history to learn about WI etc. My only suggestion would be not to go if there are large crowds. BG

Pinkney, which was a 10 min walk to our hotel, not far from the State Capitol. The reason I gave 4 stars is that had our flight been delayed, we may have missed the bus (The bus was scheduled for about an hour and 10 minutes after we landed) and being that tickets are non-refundable and that the next bus wouldn't have gotten us to our destination until 10pm-ish, we would have been in a pickle. We were sweating it a bit, but grateful that everything worked out. They should be a bit more flexible knowing that flights are prone to delays and cancellations. To find the bus stop at MKE airport... Walk out of the baggage claim door #2, and turn left. You will see a crosswalk. Proceed to the next island and you'll see the Badger Bus stop. (See my photo attached). Other bus companies also pull up here. Our Badger Bus was bright red and clearly marked, but I read that they can be black unmarked buses. Our bus was running a few minutes late due to traffic, however a bus driver on a different Badger Bus who was dropping off told us it was on its way. That put us at ease. Our driver was really great. We sat up front and the bus wasn't very busy, so after we told him we were visiting from out of state, he kindly gave us a bit of a narration and offered ideas of places to visit. After picking up a few other passengers in Milwaukee, including at the train station, we were on our way to Madison. It was a smooth, comfortable, air conditioned ride. We tipped the driver for handling our luggage and for the narration. Helfpul?

I booked the Johnson/Washington stop for my return trip home. The clueless driver didn't even stop there even though that is where my ticket was booked to. She drove straight through from Johnson Creek to Lake St. Her incompetence cost me an hour and 25 minutes. My commute home from Johnson would have been 25 minutes, but it took me an hour and 25 minutes to get home from downtown. When I noticed the time, it was past when I should have been dropped. We were already traveling down E Wash and I was in the last seat by the bathroom, so there was nothing I could do at that point. Commuters beware if you use this stop! I sent an email to Badger Bus regarding this and how/why it happened with no response.

Retzer has a planetarium that shows the most amazing programs. We saw Astronomica, the 3rd in the…read moreseries by James Hood. It was fantastic, and I was actually buzzing physically at the end. We also learned about the all upcoming presentations and we plan to attend as often as possible. This is a little theater that is so unique and should not be dismissed. The entire nature center and grounds are beautiful, and hiking the woods is always a pleasure. The downside is that dogs are not allowed, but that is understandable since they protect nature as much as possible. Please take a look at their website and do yourself a favor by attending an event or two. It really is a great way to spend an evening or hike for the day. The entire area is 483 acres, and is open at 6:00 am until 10:00 pm. There is no charge for parking or entering the park. Only the events have a fee, and it is not expensive. And everything inside is easily accessible for anyone with mobility issues.
