I too, heard mostly ghastly stories of pain, embarrassment, etc., but I knew I needed to go for my health/well-being anyway. The PA was awesome: friendly and non-judgmental. (I mean, I kind of expected at least one wtf comment about me being 24 and never visiting the gyno...but nothing!) J-Staud came in to do my exam. She explained every step and made sure I was comfortable as she went along. I felt NOTHING. It was amazing. I almost thought something was wrong because my experience seemed to differ for most people's...but Dr. Staud is just that awesome. It was seriously the best case scenario I could have imagined for my first gyno visit. I'm now a responsible-type person and schedule my yearly visit, and I've never minded going back!

Granted, Rebecca is just a PA and I've only actually seen my "real" gyno (Dr. Ramos) once. But I don't care, cause I'd so much rather see Rebecca. She is the sweetest person in the world, and makes you feel so comfortable even in the most awkward position. Plus, the staff is VERY sweet. When I didn't have insurance for the year I was self-employed, Jenny (an assistant?) kept me in contraceptives for free. He worked with my husband and I from the very beginning of our IVF process through the end. I went through IVF in order to have PGD and PGS on the embryos since I have a balanced translocation of certain chromosomes. Dr. Babayev, the residents in the clinic, and the nurses were all extremely attentive and cared about our success. I always got prompt responses on MyChart and help after hours and on weekends. Dr. Babayev was clearly very interested in helping us get pregnant, and reached out to genetic experts around the country for the latest research on my particular condition. Wait times were short and prompt, which helps when you're going to the clinic so frequently. Best of all, I'm now pregnant after my first round of IVF and Dr. Babayev monitored me until it was time to transfer to a regular OB.

The office staff was/is the most unprofessional I've dealt with. No one has a clue what is happening in the business office... ever. They have no idea how to process insurance claims. There's no sense of urgency (with claims a lot of times you have to have this). They had no clue that my insurance didn't cover cryopreservation (freezing of the eggs), they had no idea that my insurance had us put any eggs that we got immediately back in no matter if we only just got one or 10. My first time there was back in 2016/2017 where we began a cycle. We accidentally got pregnant by ourselves but the awesome staff failed to give me a pregnancy test, which is routine when you are going thru treatments (I was in their office literally every other day for blood work) and all the while I'm injecting my stomach with fertility drugs. Sadly, that pregnancy ended in an ectopic pregnancy and an emergency surgery to remove one of my Fallopian tubes. I'm actually still devastated about that because as if it wasn't hard enough for us to get pregnant now it's 50% less likely . When I was getting blood drawn and I would have to go into the office on Saturdays they had a medical office assistant drawing my blood which she's not trained in and she did this wrong every single time. The business office switched hands at least 3 times while we were there and they still have no clue on how to help me with billing issues that I call about. My insurance company is still, one year later, waiting on notes from several doctors. The business office said not to worry about the last cycle we went thru because it was their fault why we were having to do it again, yet we got charged full price for it. A lot of promises were made and none were solidified. If you are going to start your fertility journey here please don't use your insurance because this office doesn't have a clue how insurance works. I'm well aware that fertility clinics normally don't even accept insurance but if you are going to accept it, your office staff should be trained on how to process claims. By the way this has severely affected my almost perfect credit score bc they sent the bills to collections even though they haven't sent any of the doctors notes to the insurance company so basically I just have $8,000 sitting there like I didn't even use the insurance. It's very frustrating y'all. Sorry for the long post. Again, Dr. Babayev was great, but if I were to do this over I would not go here just based on the office staff and how knowledgeable they aren't. It's a lot of money for office staff to not have there shit together.

I started going to Dr. Herd before I had my kids, so over 7 years ago. It's hard to find a good…read moredoctor that you trust. And when I found Dr Herds office, I was satisfied. Dr. Herd wasn't that personable, it could be with just me, that maybe he didn't quite like me, I don't know, but I wan't going in for a friend, I was going for checkups and later for my babies. I never felt uncomfortable so I thought it fine. His staff were always so nice to me, especially his nurse Trish, she treated me great, especially this last time. We had a lot of pleasant conversations. His office moved during my 1st pregnancy, and I think his business got bought off by a larger business, because when they moved they said they didn't accept Tricare, but I was grandfathered in because I started before they moved. So I couldn't go back to his office after the baby was born, ( for my regular check ups) until I got back on my work insurance. So after that I just used my family doctor for Paps, until I got pregnant again. For the 2nd baby I went back to Dr Herd just because I wanted my kids to have the same delivery doctor. I don't know why that was important to me. His office was always so nice. I started on my work insurance, but then hurt my back, so had to go on medical leave and get on Medicaid. I was on Tricare and Medicaid, and they still accepted me. After I went back to work, about 3 or 4 months after the baby was born, I went back to my work insurance. Well Dr. Herds office started billing my work insurance for all the baby care. Which leaves me to believe they got paid from Tricare and Medicaid and wanted some more from my work insurance. I started getting statements from my work insurance, and from Medicaid. A year and half later I got a bill in the mail for Dr. Herds office for a few hundred dollars. Tricare and Medicaid would pay for everything, so I shouldn't have received any bills, but then with them billing a 3rd insurance that I wasn't using at the time, I definitely shouldn't have received any bills, but I did. Of course I didn't pay it, but got hounded and hounded to pay it, then it went to collections. So needless to say I wouldn't be going back to Dr. Herds office. Additionally, my work insurance was paying the bills they submitted all the way up until the year time frame allowed, even though they weren't supposed to.......then I got a letter from my work insurance that the appeal that Dr. Herds office made on a denial of payment was rejected because they didn't bill them within the year time frame,.....so now Dr. Herds office is trying to come after me for the money.......such BS.

Though I wasn't able to eat or drink the break room area adjacent to entry/check in provided vending machine goodies and drinks. With free coffee and baked chocolate chip, peanut butter and sugar cookies. Nice! Within minutes from checking in the nurse came to take me to pre-op. She wasn't too engaging with an early morning dry approach that changed to a bit more engaging when I refused to remove my yellow knit cap for their paper blue. *Lol* Jennifer, Gladys, Doc P and anesthesiologist made me feel very welcomed, comfortable and in good care. My procedure per Doc P went very well. Aftercare staff was attentive and informative along with assisting for release. If I had to use this USMD again I wouldn't hesitate due to the Nice, Clean facility with Warm and Friendly staff.
