After making several trips we ended up having the buy accessories from them in addition to renting the mic to make it work. They made it clear they only want to work with professional musicians. It's difficult when you're already grieving to ask for help and be treated like you're a burden. I grew up in Fall Creek and always the thought Hickeys was a kind, local business. That's why we asked for their help and expertise, so I'm sad we couldn't have had a better experience.

Dennis was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. A quick google search for "finger lakes wedding band" will yield a number of results including Dennis. We chose him after discovering that many of the other top results were essentially businesses that contracted dozens of musicians all over the state, with many band members often meeting for the first time at an event. Knowing that Dennis was local and works with other local musicians gave us confidence in our choice and Dennis proved us right!

She was very friendly, knowledgable, and willing to work around my schedule to talk via phone, email , Skype or in person. I procrastinated on picking out the ceremony music and she was very helpful in sending me a list of common choices for various parts of the ceremony. She has many traditional and more modern songs. She can also learn a new one for you if the sheet music is available. Our guests were taken away to another place when they heard her play during our ceremony. We received many compliments on her and it was the last piece that made our ceremony and cocktail hour very romantic and intimate. You will be very pleased if you hire Esther, the Elegant Harp.

We hired the backtalk band for our wedding in Skaneateles last week, and they were absolutely…read morefantastic. They capped the event so well. Jim was an excellent MC--he has a great voice, nice personality, and didn't talk too much (like a lot of other DJs or MCs do) but created such a warm atmosphere. Their guitarist played dinner music. At one point one of our guests turned to us and we realized-wait, this isn't pre-recorded music?? They sounded so grreat and the dance floor always had lots of people on it. They play older music, but the good thing is that older people feel more comfortable dancing to it and the younger people will dance to everything, and young or old, you already know the songs. They also learned several new songs for our first dance, father/daughter dance, and were very accommodating. After how fantastic they were at our reception, we would never even consider a DJ or any other band for that matter.

I immediately felt like I was part of the REP family. My team has been great in staying true to my music, but also in offering suggestions (chord changes, tempo, dynamics), and they have done so kindly. A composer needs to be open to the input of others - welcoming it. It is only by maintaining a big dash of humility can I hear what my listeners hear. Don't shy away from using REP Studio.
