Established in 2015.

Monocle Entertainment started in 2015 after starting a weekly Open Mic Night at Railhouse Taproom and has just expanded from there! After a brief time focusing on booking, Monocle evolved into an all-in-one entertainment support business. Now Monocle offers DJ services for weddings and parties, Business entertainment services in the form of Open Mic Nights and Trivia (always open to different ideas and opportunities), and sound equipment/live sound engineering services for concerts and festivals. Always is support of local music, Monocle Entertainment also shares articles, news, videos and pictures in support of the area's music scene. Monocle is also considering launching a podcast highlighting the artists, venues, and other contributors to the Upstate New York/Finger Lakes/NEPA music scenes.

Meet the Business Owner: Kyle F.

My name is Kyle Farr and I own Monocle Entertainment. It all started out after the band I played bass in, The Gentleman, decided to call it quits and I suddenly had a bunch of music gear and free time. In short order, I reached out to the Railhouse Taproom in Waverly and asked about starting an Open Mic Night every week. Originally, that's all I really planned to do but as time went on I got asked to do more and more things and eventually ended up here! Now I run Open Mics, Trivia, DJ for parties and weddings as well as run sound for live concerts/festivals too.
