I'm not sure a single patron here was ACTUALLY over 21 besides my friend and myself. This place is ridiculously filthy, low-class and just plain ghetto.
To top off the night, some jackass stole my phone. Well, lemme rewind... My phone fell out of my pocket. My friend saw someone pick up a phone and turn it in to the manager before she realized it was, in fact MY phone. Turns out, finders-keepers, because when we went to ask the manager for the phone he had JUST received... he lied to our faces and said he didn't have one.
So, fast forward three days (waiting for this dump to reopen) and I FINALLY get a human being on the phone who says there's no phone in the safe, but to come down and ask in person. So I do. I talk to ALL the bouncers, the guy with the metal detecting wand (really?!), the chola at coat check, the bartender and all the smarmy managers only to find out the manager who was on duty Saturday night WASN'T EVEN THERE and wouldn't be until the following night... so I should come back and talk to him again.
Fast forward another day - Cool, dudes. Well, I filed a police report for my phone. It wasn't even a cool or fancy phone you can sell on craigslist. Just a phone that gets me in touch with my clients, who are my family. A phone with 628 irreplaceable photos of my family, friends and kids on a memory card. A phone that I can't afford to replace, because I was barely making ends meet as it was. One might ask why I was out if I couldn't afford to be... well A: it's not really your business and b: it was a girls night out... something I never do... and my friend was footing the bill because she wanted me there *that* badly.
Enjoy the phone, I guess. I hope it's worth it.
