Just had Unlimited Rain Systems install gutters around our house. (Why do builders only install them along the front?!? The cost seems minimal compared to the damage not having gutters causes.) I would love to give a great review but just can't. Javier was great when he came to give a quote. Promised he wouldn't do me wrong as he watched me be disappointed with my exterior paint color choice I was having done when he came by. After a few texts back and forth we scheduled install for June 25th. His guys show up about an hour late, which I didn't mind and they start doing the work. Javier shows up a little while later and says his manufacturer ran out of the regular(silver) leaf guard and he was going to use an upgraded (black) leaf guard on what he was short. He told me it wouldn't be noticeable and you wouldn't be able to tell. We also have a seam in one of the gutters by the back door that isn't sealed properly. Guess what, it sticks out like a sore thumb!! I have reached out to him several times over the past month to see when he could come fix it. I was lucky and talked to him twice and he promised he would come fix it. All texts and voicemails have gone unanswered. Bottom line, we just want it fixed. I don't want to leave negative reviews just to get his attention. It has been 5 weeks since install and I believe we've been patient enough. read more

All worked well with Javier before and during installation he was very responsive and answered every question in a proper way. After installation of gutters we needed adjustments, some gutters were not properly leveled. Some other areas needed some flashing to direct the water from the roof to the gutters. After noticing this issues I called, texted, several times with no response really. I had to call him from another line to get him to answer. I have been really nice with him but for some reason he just does not respond well. He indicated the only 2 times he answered the phone that he will be visiting the next days, no show. I truly do not get it. It is a simple fix that he needs to make but he chooses not to respond and ignore calls and texts. More than angry I am really disappointed at his lack of response and professionalism. I am hopeful he will do the right thing but I might be dreaming. If he were to respond and address these issues my review would have been much much different but unfortunately is not the case. read more

After accepting a bid on gutters for my home in August or September 2019, the workers arrived promptly for the job. Prior to this, the owner was very responsive to my calls about the job. Once complete I noticed an area on the front of my house that the gutter appeared to sag. I was told that the gutters were installed intentionally to drain properly. Reluctantly, I accepted the explanation because I had a contract that guaranteed the workmanship. BIG MISTAKE. Water collected in the corner and the weight caused the gutter to sag even more. The owner then tried to say that it was because my house foundation has settled in the front. Broken promises, ignoring of my calls, and several fail to show by the techs occurred over the next several months. I finally went to the address for the company and just happened to catch the owner at the location that was vacant. He finally sent someone out and they installed another downspout that drained 5 feet from my front door. 3 months have passed and the owner has failed to show up on two occasions to resolve the issue. Finally had to pay another gutter guy to come fix work that was supposed to be guaranteed. I was told by two professionals that the causation of poor draining was due to poor installation. My next step is to write the Better Business Bureau and try to prevent anyone from having to go through this again. I regret trying to save money and not hiring a reputable company. I should have known better when I got this guys number off of a sign stapled to a telephone/power pole. His "guarantee" and "warranty " is worthless. read more

**Update 8/9: After creating this honest and through review, Javier has began harassing me through text messages. His first harassing text came in at 9:18 PM and started with, "I have pictures of your home" and even after I have asked him to stop contacting me 4 times, his aggressive harassment continues. We had a horrible experience with this company. Our experience was so bad that we decided to spend $150 more to use a different company. A quick summary of the missteps include: 8/2: I contact Javier to get a quote. He tells me that he will come by to give me the quote, but he doesn't. At 7:00 PM I ask him if he made it by and he said "Tomorrow" 8/3: I don't hear from Javier all day. At 7:00 PM I ask if he is still coming and he says that he got held up and he would come back the next day. 8/4: I send Javier a text in the morning asking him to let me know before he headed my way because I wanted to meet him at my house to ask him a few questions while he was there (including picking a color). I call him at 5:30 PM and he informs me that he came and left without letting me know. My security camera never picked him up. He said he just drove by. Against my better judgement, we schedule a Tuesday installation with him after he promised to come back out on Monday. 8/5: He is supposed to come by to actually measure, give a quote, and determine the correct color. After not hearing from him all day, I send him a text at 5:30 PM asking him if he had been by yet. He says yes and tells me that he will send me a drawing and the colors. At 8:50 PM I have received nothing from him so I ask him if we should postpone the installation until Wednesday so that he will have more time to get me the information. He responds "ok" Once again, my security camera never picked him up. 8/6: On Tuesday morning he sent me the drawing. I confirmed with him that he planned to do the installation the following day. I asked him if he was able to pick the colors that matched the best (as he said he would) and he sends me an image of 5 different color swatches against someone else's house. He previously told me that he would take a picture of his recommended color swatch against my house, but he didn't. I remind him that I want the gutters to match my trim, and my downspouts to match my wall paint, and he spends almost an hour arguing with me about it because "it is like crown molding on your home" and I should believe him because he's the expert. I tell him that I understand his perspective, but I inform him that we would prefer for our gutters to blend in, instead of being a focal point. It took him almost an hour to agree to do it this way. I don't understand why it was even an argument. I finished the conversation by asking him to bring a couple different colors and picking the one that was the closest since he hadn't provided me with a way to accurately pick the correct color. 8/7: At 2:00 PM, 2 hours after he was supposed to arrive, I asked if they were still coming. Javier said no. He said that I needed to pick a color first. 8/8: I told Javier that we decided to use someone else. He responded, "Thanks for that decision, what a headace [sic]." I let him know that I planned to leave a review and then he called me and yelled at me for a few minutes before he hung up. Before hanging up, he made sure to tell me that he has pictures of my house, but I'm not sure why he said that. read more

So a little over a year later we have been tying to get this Javier out to fix the draining issues, we schedule a time for him to come out then makes up and excuse as to why he can't that day... or doesn't even bother to show up at all. it is a good price, but the problem here is u get what u pay for, cheep price = cheep installation, cheep or more like non existent customer service stay away from this company the lower price isn't worth the headache when u try to get it fixed and can't later read more

I rarely give five star reviews. But......Wow! These guys do a good job. I wish these guys were into doing more then gutters because they handle their work promptly, and have very good communication. Plus the price I got for my gutters was very fair. Cheaper then what I had expected to spend for such good work. The owner got back to me quickly when I asked for an estimate. They got the work done when they said they would. They're alot better to deal with then another company I contacted for an estimate on the same work. I'm very happy I went with Unlimited Rain Systems. My gutters look awesome, color cordinated with my house and everything. They used 3" x 4" downspouts to prevent clogs and installed the gutters under my roof's drip edge, therefore protecting the wood from rot. They did quality work. This is the company to go with to get gutters on your home. I'd recommend them to friends, family, and everyone else. Can't wait to see our new gutters in action. He subcontracted to another guy who speaks no English, so when you have problem he can never be reached and ignored your call. I just had new gutters put on my home just before the flood, I'm very glad I did! This was my second set of gutters put in by this company, Javier's crew did my rent house as well last year. I couldn't be happier with both. In spite of the high demands for gutters in the Houston area right now, Javier was able was able to get a crew out within a week of the estimate and completed the job (in between rain showers). My mother's gutters and downspouts were done in April 2017. The corner over our patio was not sealed properly and has been leaking since completed. In fairness the rest of the house works fine. The workers did leave trash (metal sleeves and long nails) here and there. It was just a handful of materials. The job was done in a timely manner. I requested an invoice for the work done and was told one would be emailed. Javier was courteous on the phone and text saying that he would correct the problem leak. I contacted him by text weekly or bi-weekly until after Harvey hit. During normal rain, water pours through the unsealed corner over the patio. Javier had stated different reasons for not fixing the problem: illness, death, another job in San Antonio. Still, he has yet to remedy the problem. Now he has not answered texts at all. We have been more than understanding and patient. Also, I have yet to receive an invoice after repeated requests. My 91 year-old mother has kept the cancelled check. Although Javier gave a competitive bid, he has not done an acceptable job because of lacking customer service and follow-up. read more

I put a deposit down for another gutter company and also got a ridiculous quote from a 3rd company. My neighbor told us about Javier and he came within an hour of me calling for a quote. I will not recommend anyone to use the company Unlimited Rain System for your house's gutters. Overall the owner, Javier and the installation team have definitely limited knowledge, experience, insight, and exposures of different size and shape of houses, roofing, and gutters, There is no customer services, promises and actions have no integrity, no dignity, no written contract, all cash, no written warranty. I am a single mother homemaker, and I have no clue about gutters nor home improvement. When the price was agreed upon, before the gutters installation, I told Javier, we will have an inspector to inspect his work, due to compliance request with our neighborhood guideline. The inspector told me to withhold $500 of the full payment, as the gutter installation must pass the inspection. All is verbal, all is cash, no contract. After the installation, there has been a right side of the house where water shoot down to the lawn - adjacent to the neighbor's front yard, and my house did not pass the inspection. I regret that did not listen to the inspector, I only withhold $150.00. I notified Javier, sent him the picture, the same day after the installation, only 3 hours after the installation, Javier and myself has more than 10 messages back and forth with multiple promises, to fix the error. I has been more than 3 months, I told Javier that the house must pass the guideline inspection and I only have 3 months. I run out of time to be in compliance with the neighborhood guideline, I must correct the issue with extra cost. Overall, when the skill skills set is limited to certain areas, where the way to manage the company and customer service is minimum, the client suffered, The inspector wanted to help me but between me and Javier there is no written contract, the 2 years warranty is also verbal it's not written. There is no customer services, you deal with the owner Javier Ortega, and he use text, he did not pick up the phone no real communication. For your inner peace where your money is well spent and not to encounter extra cost to fix this company's error, I recommend consumers to use accredited companies with written contract, scope of work and warranty. read more

They went up in one day, thanks to a very professional, personable (and neat) crew and they look great. We have even had compliments on them from the neighbors. Wow Wow!! So, I bought a new house that unfortunately did not have any gutters at all. Previous owners lived there for about ~2 years and it seems that they did not have expectations to be there in the long run, so they did not do a lot of home improvements...shameful! Anyways, I had Lowes, Home Depot, independent contractor, and Unlimited Rain System (URS) come out and provide me with a free quote and their professional opinion. URS was significantly cheaper than the rest of them. Javier came onsite and showed me the materials and I got the hands-on experience with the parts that he was going to use for the home. After careful deliberation, I decided to go with URS. They came out and installed the gutters around the entire house in about ~6 hours. They also replaced some rotted boards that I had and cleaned up after themselves too. Overall, I am satisfied with the workmanship and the quality of the gutters. When I priced it out as a DIY project, it was very comparable with what he charged. I figured I might as well have a professional do it for just a little bit extra. read more
