This is equally a tough review to write and one that I couldn't wait to get to. Words, and limited character space can never truly express the level of gratitude, and admiration that I have for Unleashed and it's trainers. When I began my journey two months ago I was 135 lbs, and had a body fat percentage of 23%. My idea of a crunch was to grab the remote control without knocking my bowl of chips off my stomach. I had accepted that physical fitness just wasn't in the cards for me. My self confidence had begun to decline, which is a bad thing when your career is based upon making others feel confident and beautiful. I was scrolling Facebook and seen an ad for the gyms six week challenge and was intrigued. It was close to my salon, and I'd be able to go before work. Best of all it claimed to be a FREE six week challenge. Now like all things in life nothing is truly free without a catch. The fee for the challenge could be returned to you as long as you followed the guidelines and met your goal. I had a choice to make and let me add nothing is a better motivator than putting some serious cash on the line. I decided both for my self esteem, and my health that this was a decision I had to make. I needed guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement. I had joined other gyms in the past with the best of intentions; I'd go for a few weeks and get burnt out both with having no clue what types of workouts I'd be doing, and having zero accountability, and training. A lot of gyms like to play the family card and claim to have a membership that is full of encouragement and friendship. Unleashed however doesn't only claim it, they are. I've met so many wonderful and inspiring people outside of the trainers and that keeps me pushing to reach my next goal. There is people of all body types, and ages. Everyone always greets you, and helps encourage you when you're feeling that burn and contemplating giving up. I would have never been so successful if it weren't for people who have no idea how much they impacted me. I'm a researcher and after signing up I looked into just how reasonable 6% body fat loss on six weeks was. Needless to say the internet had me petrified I had just lost a lot of money. The average was 1% in 4 weeks. I needed a percent a week. I'm so very happy to say that it is more than possible. I followed the meal plan, never missed a workout, gave it 110% each time. Not only did I meet my initial goal, I surpassed it by double. As I type this review I'm currently down to 118 lbs, and a body fat % of 11.5. The meal plan was the hardest for me to change, yet has become a new way of life for me and my energy, and sleep have dramatically increased. Where I use to dread going to the gym I look forward to my early mornings and getting together with an extended family and pushing myself even further. If you're looking to change your life, and truly willing to follow the advice from some amazing people I highly recommend Unleashed. Unleashed used to be a great place to work out. Over the course of a year or so the dynamics have changed drastically. i've had several negative experiences here and have kept "giving it a chance " and i'm still not happy. 1. They wrote me a check that bounce and when I reached out to get the $ that they owed me, Manny just told me sorry i'm in Vegas. I basically had to pester him to finally get Trevor to give me cash. but even then Trevor blamed my bank and said it was an issue on my end. then calls me a bit later apologizing, gave me $, and a free hat. cool, I have millions of hats already. i'm sure they wouldn't like members not giving them $ but whatever. 2. my sister signed up for like 3 free weeks. Manny made her fill out her card info. and she was hesitant but he assured her they wouldn't charge her. she told him I don't have a job, I don't have money, I just want to come here with my sisters. and he was cool with it. so when those three weeks ended she told trevor sorry I can't sign up I don't have a job yet but they charged her anyways. so then it was this whole ordeal to get a refund. then they refunded TOO much money so then she had to fix that. after like 2-3 months sherry texts her saying her account was frozen and that's expiring so she's going to charge her her monthly fee. and she got freaked out and told her she was confused, she never was a member? and then she told her she has to pay $200 to cancel. are you f*cking kidding me??? then texts her oh wait you're fine sorry. way to communicate guys. 3. I've referred many clients of mine who feel like they are put in a room and the guys basically make them feel pressured to sign up.or cornered is more like. oh or just flirt with you til you sign up !!! they tell people things are "free" but when it comes down to it. it's not. SO BEWARE OF ALL THE FREE ADS. 4. The mother effin "10x challenge" aka pay 400$ to work out one extra day and you have to pay for an app on top of that to enter your macros. biggest waste of $ in my life. it pissed me off because manny and trevor are all about it at first.... then go on vacation (like they always are on, but f*ck i would too after cashing in on all those 10x challengers $$$$) and leave all this extra work for all the other trainers who has nothing to do with it. then get on their asses that they aren't doing their job. um no, actually you guys never follow though. 10x was your idea bro. 5. Trevor bugged me for before and after pictures. Which is fine, I don't mind sending it to him. But it did upset me that I go on their website and there is my before and after picture posted without my consent. I thought that was pretty messed up. you could've warned me that my round fat face was going to be posted all over the Internet! oh yeah, I forgot that you only care about your members when it's convenient for you! $$$$ ANYWAYS. i'm canceling my membership. read more

This gym is awesome! The exercises are HIIT based group classes that everyone can accomplish. The gym is very clean and has well cared for equipment. It's in a small industrial suite and they have mostly free weights and resistance equipment like bands. I did their 6 week challenge and it really works! The 6 week challenge is you can choose: lose 6% and/or 25lbs. In 6 weeks. I was not a member before this. It does takes a lot of effort, but they help give you all the tools to succeed. They have the perfect balanced workouts throughout the week and can answer any questions, concerns, or help with emotions you have. I felt my whole body get stronger and leaner. I have a injury to my ankle and all the trainers modified every workout, without sacraficing the workout objective. I wrote a review on this place last year when I was a member and it was only because I was cornered and asked to write a review more than once before I finally did it just to get them to stop asking me. Please keep that in mind when reading all of these 5 star reviews. The gym is actually a nice place to work out and Rafa and Alex, who are the trainers, really do care about you and helping you get healthier. I was seeing results until I had to quit due to personal reasons and I was actually sad to leave and hoping to come back in the future. My problems started when I needed to cancel my membership. I was told to call some 3rd party to cancel. I did but my cancellation never got processed. I randomly got a text from Sherry, who works there, telling me I need to call to cancel my membership. This was around November 2017. I sent her a text back explaining that I did call to cancel and she told me she would call the company and find out what was going on. I never heard back from her. I thought maybe it would take a little while for them to stop charging my card. NOPE! They continued to do so. In January 2018 I decided to dispute the charges with my credit card company. How fast the 3rd party company was to send me letters telling me I better pay up or else go to collections. I wasn't going to pay for something that I shouldn't have to pay for and had cancelled. There goes my perfect credit! I decided to just put it behind me and leave it alone. Obviously they were not going to budge and I was not either. The icing on the cake is when Trevor (one of the owners) sent me a text out of the blue in February 2018 telling me about their new class schedule and offering their services if I want to start back up again. I responded explaining what had happened after I cancelled my membership. No response from Trevor. I figured he doesn't actually care about me and my fitness goals, just my money. Fine, I'll just leave it alone then. Can you guess what happened the next month?!? Trevor messaged me AGAIN saying that he wanted to touch base with me and see how I am doing. Really, Trevor?!? Let me repeat myself YOU. DO. NOT. CARE. ABOUT. ME. JUST. MY. MONEY So....here I am in April looking for a gym membership because my circumstances have now changed. I can tell you where I would have signed up had I not had a nightmare of a time trying to cancel, it would have been Unleashed. Now I am off to find a new gym. read more

Great place! Whether you are just a beginner, trying to recover from an injury that kept you away from the gym, hit a plateau etc. This is the place. I have always been fit and had a healthy lifestyle, but I had some complications and had to take 3 months off the gym. And believe it or not, it was like starting over. I couldn't believe all the hard work I had put in for years almost went down the drain in three months because I was injured and I couldn't do much, and when I tried to go back to the gym I was having a hard time with my techniques and routines because I had been so used to doing my workouts one way and now with the injury I had to learn to do them a different way. So after a few weeks of struggling, I realized I just needed to get professional help to get myself back in top shape and working around my injury/plateau, so I reached out I went for a consultation and the rest is history. In 3 months I can say I'm almost back to how I was (looks wise, muscle definition) BUT strength wise I'm on another level I was used to doing more machines and some free weights. At unleashed they rely mainly on body weight, plyometric, kettlebells and specific combos to give you maximum results. But i think what I enjoy the most is the vibes of everyone here, both staff and members are just awesome to be around. Super positive and friendly group of people. Without realizing it as the weeks went by I began shifting my mentality and my goals. Instead of focusing so much on weight and inches (which yes I have lost) I began focusing on goals like: getting stronger, going heavier weight, changing certain moves, running faster, breathing better etc. And slowly I began achieving my goals.. because I was no longer setting myself up for failure. I'm pretty disciplined when it comes to the gym, I usually would go at 3am. But after I had to be away for 3 months it was so hard for me to get back in the routine. I would set alarms but I wouldn't have the motivation to get up. At unleashed... you feel motivated to Go, you look forward to the workout, you know you're investing money, time.. and they keep track as well of the days you check in. So in a way, if you're struggling with commitment or discipline, this is another good reason to join, they will keep you on your toes. This place is such a gem! Manny and Trevor are really the nicest guys who genuinely care for their clients. They have a very personal touch and really connect. One of the things I like the most is that unlike going solo at a gym, the guys are there to make sure you're using proper form so you don't get injured, or help you come up with alternate exercises or variations to work the same muscle groups if you can't do something for some reason. I cant say enough wonderful things about this place! They really make you feel comfortable and there is nothing intimidating about this place. I have never enjoyed going to the gym ( LA Fitness, 24 Hour ) I felt like, 1- I didn't know what I was doing or how to properly workout and 2- all the creepy people there who wanted to just socialized instead of work out. Found this place almost a year ago through a Groupon deal. Researched it a little and realized my old personal trainer from LA Fitness that I went to nearly 8 years ago was the co-owner. Knowing how great he was and what good shape I was in back then decided to try out the Groupon deal. Near one year later I'm 30lbs down and still dropping. Nothing about gyms is easy, nor is anything a sure deal, takes a lot or work and discipline, and that is exactly what this gym helps teach. They help keep you motivated to show up to the workouts, but using social media like Facebook they keep in touch with you and encourage involvement to help you be accountable with your nutrtions and outside gym activities. The way this "business" is run is atrocious. I have seen the two "leaders" Manny and Trevor fire ("let go" in their words,) numerous clients for, in my opinion- everyday life. If you commit to a certain workout time-frame and have to change the time or day- they will let you go as a client. If you're late- you're fined. You will have to pay more money out of your pocket to the gym as if their rates weren't high enough as is. Who fines their clients anyways?!?! If you joke around and try to have fun whilst working out- they will let you go for being "disruptive." Other issues- The workout area is too small for the amount of people they stuff in and try to "train" at once. Not enough time with the "trainers" and they have clients assisting with training (are those people certified to run your workouts? Nope.) Workouts are now shorter in time, not as difficult as they previously were and seems as if the workouts are now designed and focused for beginners. Lack of attention to specific personal workout routines. All workouts are planned for everybody with no regard to what you would personally like to work on. Lack of results. The workouts have changed and aren't showing good results- I believe that is due in part to being positioned to beginners and people who are a bit weaker (older and heavier.) Lots of injuries sustained (probably why they eased up on the workouts.) I would not recommend this gym to anyone I care about particularly because of the way I have seen the two owners treat long time, great clients. They need a better understanding of how to treat and respect their clients and not "let go" or fine their clients. The owners speak of building community within the gym but do not practice community themselves and are quick to make hasty decisions. I'm sure there are plenty of other gyms and trainers in the area who would be happy to take your money, offer a personal plan for your goals and not fire you of you can't make a few sessions. read more

I am happy I found this place on "What's up Corona" FB page! Manny and Trevor are awesome instructors that help you set your goals and push you to become better. My favorite thing is doing a workout that I am new at and if I am doing it incorrectly, they will show you the right formation so that you don't cause injury to yourself. They are always willing to help. The first day I came in, both of them were full of smiles and greeted me immediately. I felt scared about meeting the new people who were training as well but everyone is extremely friendly!! They are open all week and have different scheduled times so that it works with everyone's busy schedule! You also get a meal plan that way you don't have to wonder what you're going to eat every day! It's all set out for you! I was referred to this gym by a friend who started working out here and saw real results. I hadn't worked out in literally 5 years and was looking for a place to keep me motivated and consistent. This is the place! I was impressed by their philosophy of whole body health, really taking the time to understand what my long term goals were, my motivation and what stood in my way to get where I wanted to go. What can I say about Manny? This guy changed my life. I first met him at LA Fitness in 2008 when I decided to start working out for the first time in my life. I trained personally with him up until we moved to a new city in 2012 and he was then too far away. I lost a total of 60 pounds under his training and went from being a couch potato to running half marathons. I STILL miss his crew and the friends I made there. They started me off slow at first, and I am pleased to say that I am already noticing that the workouts are not as strenuous as they initially were(they are still quite intense, and that's really cool!). Take a chance I came upon Unleashed Strength Gym one day through Facebook. Naturally, I did what any normal person would do and I checked them out on every social media platform I could find them on. After much consideration, I decided to take a leap of faith on this gym and I am so thankful that I did. From that very first call I received from Trevor, to scheduling and even rescheduling my first workout (work and nerves played a part on my having to reschedule) the trainers were patient, helpful, and made me feel completely at ease. All the nerves I felt about joining went completely away, and I have been getting the best workouts ever since. If by chance you do have some sort of injury, or your level of endurance is quite low, the trainers will modify the exercises in a way that will not only ease the pain but also allow you to get the best workout as possible. Found this place on yelp and decided to check it out myself. I got to try one workout for free and then set up on a week trial for $21. The workouts are great and under an hour which is a huge plus. Both Manny and Trevor have a genuine passion for what they do and want to see you succeed. I had a nice time getting to know them and some of the other members. I was surprised how small the facility was but that had absolutely no impact on the challenging but do-able workouts. They plan fun events like hiking which I love! The SINGLE downside was the price per month. :( I was really impressed with this place and wanted to stay but unfortunately that wasn't a possibility for me due to the price. I plan to return in the future when I am more comfortable financially. read more

For just a little bit more than you'd pay at one of the big clubs, you'll get individual attention from expert personal trainers, all of whom know what they're talking about and know how to get the results that you want. My wife and I have been going here for 3 months and we're already noticing dramatic changes in our bodies. I was initially worried that Unleashed would be too much like crossfit (if you know what I mean), but it's basically got all of the pros and none of the cons. The workouts are definitely hard, but they're also fun and interesting, and the gym's culture is great. I used to workout by myself and I found out that I was making up several excuses not to workout since it was just me. I was recommended to come to this gym and it changed my life. I started coming here around the summer of 2013 as a sophomore looking to be trained a bit before starting football for the first time. Throughout that time I saw massive results over the summer and I have to say I am beyond happy and grateful for the work both Manny and Trevor dedicated in helping me be the best that I can be. I went from weighing about 300 lbs down to 240 after working out here for the summer plus sometime after. After that immense change I stopped coming due to me dedicating time to school and sports.
