Social media only helps if you are able to filter the good information from the bad (and I am no expert) so I decided to look for professional help. I started working with Dave that same month. Those first 10 sessions became an almost a year (and still going) partnership that yielded incredible results for me, not only on my personal goals but my education to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Why Dave helped me: 1. Nutritional advice: Dave educated me on macros and meal preparations, also helping me make choices that I can commit to long term (many diets fail once your will power runs out) 2. Transparency: He always advises that most of your progress comes not from the hour you spend with him, but the other 23 you spend by yourself. And he also helped me with those! 3. Proper Exercising: Dave is more focused on teaching you proper posture and movement for exercises than giving you a list of things and watching you do everything wrong. 4. Injuries: If something feels off, Dave is great in finding ways to work around your temporary physical limitations and still challenge your body without making everything worse with "cookie cutter" exercises. 5. Fun: The hour we spend together almost every day is packed with laughter and nice conversations, even when I am almost dead on the floor after a session. Overall, through celebrating success and also dealing with frustration (that he usually refers as "playing chess with your body") I am very happy I met Dave. I was going to physical therapy, but eventually they told me there wasn't much more they could do for me unless I lost about 65 pounds. That was a tough thing to hear, but it pushed me to take my health seriously. That's when I started working with Coley, and honestly it was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. He didn't just throw workouts at me and hope for the best he really listened to what my body was going through and built workouts that helped me get stronger without making my injuries worse. When you unable to do a specific exercise, they modify the exercise to fit your ability and help you build so maybe next time you can. The ones that will not let you quit because they know how it feels when you succeed. I tried Camp Transformation and lost some weight but they go after the masses and once you finish the challenge, they move on to the next group. They encourage you eat right while on the challenge only allowing you to eat from a list of about 25 foods. I found it very difficult once completing my challenge to keep the weight off. Xtreme Solutions Gym on the other hand takes the time to show you how to eat healthy not limiting your food choices and even offers to cook you a healthy breakfast after an early morning workout or protein shake in the evening. I know that in a few more weeks (well maybe months in my case) I will be able to push through almost anything I throw my way. My attitude and approach to life is changing for the better. Each moment of life counts and builds on the next. Therefore, if you are looking to try something new, want to kick some butt or just make yours a little smaller.
