I left my dog at this pet daycare for a single day, and the experience was extremely concerning. When I picked him up, he was noticeably withdrawn and hesitant to walk. After getting him home, I discovered significant abrasions on his paws.
I contacted Kim, the owner, to understand what happened. She told me this "often happens" and claimed dogs need to "build up" their paw pads. She also admitted that she does not use a safer surface due to cost constraints, which was very alarming to hear.
Looking back, there were several red flags I regret overlooking. The facility does not allow tours, and there are no cameras for owners to check in on their pets. In my opinion, this lack of transparency raises serious concerns about the environment the dogs are kept in--especially considering the rough, pebble-covered surfaces they appear to be running on all day.
What was most disappointing was the response from the owner. Instead of showing concern or offering any form of accountability, she was dismissive and rude. She did not apologize for my dog's injuries, nor did she offer any refund or assistance with the veterinary costs.
I would strongly urge others to think carefully before bringing their pets here. No pet should have to experience pain or injury in a place that is supposed to provide safe care. read more
