My dog is always happy when I pick her up and she looks great and smells good, at least for a while. She is a big farm dog. I noticed a person gave a 1-star review. I read the review. One star really hurts a small business. Maybe something unexpected happened. My 5 years of experience with Laughing Dog Spa is that Santa Paws is always ready when Linda says she will be.

I had taken our lab/Golden mix to another groomer for years and it was a stressful experience for us both. I'd have to drag her in, worried she'd back out of her collar. Sometimes the groomer would actually have to pick her up (!) to get her inside. At Sudzy Pup, my dog strolls right in, is very relaxed, and comes home stress-free. I can't say enough about Sudzy Pup, except I'm glad I found them!!!

I did, I needed a Seresto collar for my pup in case we ventured out into the woods to walk off some Thanksgiving day food (left ours back home by accident). He came and helped me find the collar I needed. I asked if they had the joint supplement I gave my dog (clearly missed a few things packing this weekend) and though they didn't have my specific one they were able to recommend another one that was plenty close. Great experience shopping here, the staff was helpful in finding me what I needed and prices good. I'll be back here next time I'm in town and need something for my doggie.

I had a last minute issue and needed my three cats out of the house for 24 full hours. Went on Yelp and realized that Janry is 5 minutes from my house! I called up and the phone person was completely helpful, booking my cats into a three tiered suite. (http://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/173706/file-20834032-jpg/images/cat_condos.jpg?t=1434306575233&width=295&height=159) Image is from their site, I forgot to take a picture, the wooden face on the bottom is the "ground floor" with litter pan, cat sized stairs between levels. I will say the price was not insignificant, but I did call last minute and got all my needs fulfilled, so I was happy to pay. Pick up was a breeze; every employee we encountered was friendly and professional. My cats were only there overnight, but they were basically unruffled, although happy to be home. It's very clear that this business has spent time thinking about what their brand is and how to grow it successfully. Very impressed, 5/5.

We have boarded our Golden Retriever, Zelda, at Janry Pet Resort several times over the years and…read morehave always had positive experiences, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. When we picked Zelda up after her most recent stay, she was in the worst condition we've ever seen. She smelled terrible, her coat was severely matted from head to tail, and she had developed two skin infections that required a veterinary visit immediately after we brought her home. Because of the condition of her skin, she couldn't even be properly groomed right away. Instead, we spent hours bathing her ourselves and carefully cutting mats out of what had once been her beautiful coat. We were also concerned about the communication regarding an injury she sustained while boarding. It was only after we specifically asked for her report card that we were told she had a "small cut" on her elbow. What we found was an open wound with pus, which was much more serious than we had been led to believe. We would have appreciated being notified immediately rather than learning about it only because we asked. We understand that accidents and medical issues can happen in any boarding environment. However, we expected Zelda to be monitored, cared for, and communicated about appropriately--especially considering the cost of the boarding services. Unfortunately, her condition when she came home did not reflect the level of care we had come to expect from Janry. We sincerely hope this was an isolated incident because we've had good experiences there in the past. However, based on this stay, we cannot confidently recommend Janry Pet Resort until we know changes have been made to ensure pets receive the care, grooming, monitoring, and communication their owners expect.
