This is a wonderful place. I walked in on a Saturday morning to have a pedicure. Was seated in a massage pedicure chair right away, soaking my feet in a whirlpool tub. After a relaxing soak and chair massage, the person that took car of me really worked hard in my poor feet and legs - as I haven't done anything special with my feet in over a year. The leg massage was to die for. He really did a fantastic job, so relaxing and not hurried. I will be coming back again and again and again! read more

I have been coming here for almost a year, a couple times a month for a fresh manicure and pedicure. I have never had a bad experience. the staff is always very personable and fun to talk with. They always have fun designs to do on the nails and are willing to try anything we can find and hit it spot on. Kim is always available to squeeze me in for a quick appointment. I always go here to get my toes done and occasionally eyebrows. They are always very friendly and do a nice job. I don't know about nails for the hands because I don't wear them but I do see a lot of people getting them done when I'm getting a pedicure so I assume they are good at that as well. read more

Been to Unix a few times. I eventually stopped going because 1) place is kind of run down 2) dirty 3) the services are no different than at other salons, if anything, subpar. Don't waste your time and money. Check out a different place where it doesn't feel like you're back in 1993. read more

I came here on 4/29/16 with a Bridal party of 7. We were all in a celebratory mood, very excited to have a little girl time and relaxation before the "big day". That quickly faded when we walked in to the nail salon and our lungs immediately started burning. The smell of acetone was so strong it literally made me cough. Repeatedly. There is zero ventilation in here. ZERO! One of our ladies was forced to get tips put on, she said she just wanted gel nail polish and before she could stop the guy he was glueing tips on. Another woman in our party just wanted regular french tip nail polish and was pushed to get gel. Like, literally was told "no, you want gel, last longer after wedding". And Boom, Gel. No choice. I would like to say it is a language barrier thing, but clearly it is just their way of "up-selling" For my nails, I wanted Gel, and that, I managed to get thru to him. Gel, not tips, just gel polish. However, this was the most painful polish jobs i've ever had. I had gel on, so I get that that needed to be removed. I soaked my hands in the 100% acetone, good, no big deal. But he dug his own nail into mine and scrapped my nails with his. HARD! Then, he grabbed a tool and scrapped them raw. I kept telling him it hurt him, he kept saying "it hurts?" Yet still continued to scrape as he was. Then, he clipped my cuticles to the point that they were bleeding (which were not that bad at all, I just had a manicure 3 weeks before). After that, they switched partners and the new woman saw I was bleeding, commented on it, said "oh its dry" and just painted over my blood. I just stared in disbelief, kinda dumbfounded that this was happening. 3 days later, my long lasting gel nails are chipping, so I need to go get them done again, and I am fairly certain I am going to get a fungal infection from this place. The great news, I am from a different state, so I never have to go back to this small town train wreck of a salon. That is my silver lining. read more

Called to make an appointment and asked if I could use debit on Sundays, the guy on the phone said yes. I get there and was told no debit on Sundays . I only have off on Sundays. I've never heard of a company not taking debit one day a week. Sucks cuz I liked that place but was given false information. Won't be returning. read more

Everytime I go there the staff is always friendly, they call you by name. My nails always look phenomenal, and the price is the best around.

I have been here two times. Once for prom and the other day was 7/5/16 both time I was not satisfied with the service or the end result for prom the color was nothing like what I wanted and in July I asked for square and got round and also asked for a design and didn't get one. Wow are these reviews of Unix nails owned by the Van's. I absolutely disagree. There is not a strong smell, it is clean and the people are very sweet. They always remember my name and what I like. They charge less than the posted price and do a GREAT Job!I have gone there for years as does my sister, nieces and daughters, I always get complements on my nails. I would recommend them to anyone.
