They recently stopped making appointments and said to be there at 7:30 when they open as it is now first come first served. I arrive at 7:28 on the day agreed, and they had open the doors 15 minutes earlier and had already booked eight people. As I had already rearranged my entire schedule for the day, I could not wait the anticipated 3 hours before they would even start on my vehicle. The service was because the tires I purchased from them a year ago or causing problems. I paid almost $6,000 for five sets of tires on my work vehicles, and they can't even make an appointment, or tell me the truth about what time they open? Flat out lied to me, and completely failed to take care of a long time loyal customer who spends big money with them. They will no longer be doing my fleet management of any kind! read more

I had my car serviced there twice and spent a lot of money. The first time they kept my car all day for tires I bought there, and they kept my car from 8am till after 5pm. So I called back on 7/13 after receiving a text that it is time for my free tire rotation. So I called and set up for the tires and oil change. I spoke with someone and scheduled and today after having a $50 gift card I was told the balance was $30 only to be charged $60. Spoke with jamie and explained issues, and next thing I knew a rude store manager said if I wasn't ever satisfied I could take my car to somewhere else since I always wanted something for free!!! Never asked for nothing free, not one time. I paid the balance with no problem and he was going to refund that and we could part ways!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! took my car to get oil change waited 4 hours, got my car and left on my way home the check oil light came and when i pulled to my drive way I noticed oil on the ground and all on the oil pan they I celled them immediately and they got really hostile and rude I talked to every supervisor and no one taking responsibility for their unprofesional mistake avoid going here or you'll end up paying more than what you came for read more

Brought them my '23 Corvette with a slow leak in the tire. My wheel was left unmarked by their wheel machine and they only charged me $20. I needed tires, and wanted a trustworthy, local business. I've had bad experiences at a few other places in town. The staff are professional, the lobby is neat and well-lit, and they do a pretty good job estimating and keeping their timeline. I had some delays, but that's with four cars getting tires and some unscheduled maintenance from Atlanta potholes. Prices are reasonable, given I purchased premium tires. read more

The worst experience ever. Asked them to look at my car for a coolant leak. They told me my car had cracked heads and it would need a whole new engine that would cost 12 grand to replace. took it somewhere else and all that needed replacing was a water pump and a hose that would cost 950$ total. Do not take your car here for any type of engine work. Not even sure they really looked at my car considering I wasn't charged for them "looking at it". Also replacing the engine wouldn't have even fixed the problem if they didn't look at the water pump. Getting an oil change and tire rotation here is fine but anything else I wouldn't trust them. read more

Incompetent shop. Specific instructions must be left so they know what to do, because they don't know themselves. Did not end up following my instructions anyway. Was told my car was ready, and when I got there it was not, making me waste money on an Uber. When I got there the next day, they told me they didn't even work on it any further. They CRACKED my windshield and denied liability, saying it must have happened before. Also did not even align my car correctly, and damaged my BRAND NEW WHEEL when putting the tire on. Cannot correctly operate phone lines- when they put you on hold, they end up transferring you to another customer. I left very unsatisfied. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else read more

Had an air pressure problem with my tire. David at Univ Tire checked it out and found a bend in the wheel. He recommended fixing it rather than replacing it. But that would take a couple of days. He put the spare on my car. The next day after driving around on the spare, it went flat in my garage. David came out that day, put the now fixed tire on my car and took the spare back to repair it. I thought a trip to my house for personal service would cost a fortune. Nope. Didn't cost a thing. I simply paid for the repaired wheel. They charged me nothing to come to my house and no more to repair the spare! What service. Best place in town for tires. David was helpful and very polite. read more

Awful experience. Customer service is non-existent. Waited 4 hours for two tires swapped out and a quick oil change. They should be ashamed, but I know they don't care. Came in for the first time because of questionable service at other local tire shops for a tire rotation/balance and brake inspection. When I got back in my truck I noticed it had been driven. Funny cause I specifically asked for a visual brake inspection. So I played back my dash cam and discovered the "tech" trying to run the quarter mile in my truck, reaching 4000 + RPMs in only several hundred feet. The "manager" called me after seeing the review on Google only to defend his "tech" saying "Well we have to get the vehicle up pretty fast to test rotor warping". Yea well the "tech" hardly ever braked and the time that he did touch the brake it wouldn't have tested any warping of the rear rotors. No apology, nothing. Totally wasted my time. First time will be the last time with these clowns. read more

Do not take your car here!! I went in to get 4 new Michelin tires put on. They had my car for 7 hours, just to put 4 tires on my car. When l picked up my car the steering wheel was super loose and there was a clicking/popping sound coming from one of my struts. I brought my car right back in and they said everything was fine with my car, which it's not. They didn't do an alignment on my car, which l told was included when you buy new tires. I had to take my car to the dealership to get an alignment done and that's when the dealership told me they heard a popping sound when driving my car, something l hadn't even mentioned to them, so l know I'm not crazy! I called Jerry the owner and he said that there's nothing they can do to help me out. This is by far the worst place I've ever taken my car before! These guys will break your car and not be accountable for it! They also stole all of the cash that l had in my middle console. These guys are so dishonest! Do not take your car here. Called and set up an appointment, was promised by the employee that vehicle would be done within a few hours of the appointment time. Next day, dropped off my vehicle, and a different employee confirmed that my vehicle would be done by close of business that day. Three hours later I got a phone call stating that the mechanic would be unable to complete the work, and I needed to leave it overnight, which was not a viable option. I went back by to discover that in three hours my vehicle had not been moved from where I parked it, and nothing had been done. Furthermore, nothing so much as an apology was offered, but instead I was told to "make sure I get it back as early as possible in the morning" so nothing else gets in front of it. So much for appointment times I guess. read more

The tire pressure monitor came on in my rental car as I was on the freeway yesterday, but I didn't get a flat and the tire looked fine. Still, I pulled over to a gas station to take a closer look. As I filled up with gas, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a University Tires pick-up truck parked behind me. I thought that was a sign that I needed to ask for help from an expert. I timidly knocked on David's passenger side window because I didn't know what to expect. David could have just let the window down, but instead he quickly hopped out of the driver's side and walked over and introduced himself to me, asking how could he help. I told him about the tire pressure alert and without hesitation he started checking the pressure on all of my tires, not just the one that had the alert. He crawled under the one with the alert as I was still pumping gas. He didn't see anything right away, but said it was probably a nail since the pressure was indeed low on that tire. He asked me to back up to his truck when I finished getting gas, which I did. He already had his truck bed door open and his tools out, threw a mat down and went to work looking for the nail. I went inside of the store to get water, and by the time I was out he had found the nail (a large staple), plugged the hole and was putting air in so I could be on my way. The whole thing probably took 8 minutes or less. David wouldn't take any payment from me even though I asked a few times about price. I asked him if he wanted something from the store and he said he had all he needed. So I put a tip under a bottle of water in his truck bed because I know he would not have taken it otherwise. I was SO GRATEFUL for this man's help I wish I could have given him more money. I am here on business from Los Angeles, CA using a rental car to drive to a construction site in the middle of nowhere in Georgia each day. I am absolutely certain I would have never gotten this type of service in Los Angeles. I'm convinced David was heaven sent and I am so grateful for his wonderful customer service and downright chivalry. I would recommend David to anyone who needs tire service, he is the real deal and just wants to help. read more

I have been coming to University Tire for a couple of years now and I have always had a good experience here. Everyone is really nice and their prices are good. The waiting lounge is comfy and there's free WiFi and coffee. If you have a Mini Cooper and you are out of your service plan, I recommend you come here and save yourself the trek to the dealership in Atlanta! One thing to note is that they don't take appointments so you can just come in at anytime. The earlier the better in my opinion. read more

If I could give these guys TEN STARS I would. I'm a 40 year old guy who drives 75,000 miles a year son needless to say I've bought a lot of tires. I've used the guys down the road, the small pop shop at the edge of town, big name websites, etc... I've never received the care and attention to customer service like I did here. Let me explain. I ventured outside my high end SUV factory tire and got a set of recommended NITTOS. Even though I agreed to the buy and authorized it they stepped up and gave me my money back and swapped the tire out for a new set of a different brand when I called and said I was not satisfied. No bickering, no complaining, they knocked it out of the park!!! Great job to the guys and I look forward to seeing you many more times in the near future. :) read more
