I told her to take it to my buddy Danny at Pro Transmissions & Automotive who I've known for half of my life for a second opinion. Danny did what Danny does: he properly diagnosed the problem and determined that the van did not need an entirely new engine. His team replaced the necessary gaskets, completed the head-gasket and timing job, and got my sister back on the road for about half of what the other shop had quoted. Honest diagnosis, quality work, and a huge amount of money saved. If you're facing an expensive repair, take your vehicle to Danny before giving up on it. I cannot recommend this shop enough, a second opinion from the right shop can make all the difference! When I arrived and offered the coupon to the gentleman in the front, I was told that because my vehicle takes full synthetic oil that the coupon would not be valid at first I shrugged and figured I might not have read it completely. well I decided to re-read the coupon And mention to him that nowhere on the coupon does it say anything about conventional or full synthetic oil. So I asked my wife to send me a picture of the coupon book and it also said absolutely nothing about oil type requirements there either. It's important to note that I drive a very basic Toyota car nothing fancy so when he then told me that they could do an oil change for $94 which is more than I have ever paid for an oil change in my life, I immediately walked out. I cannot speak to the quality of their work, but I think it does speak to the quality of either their character or their writing comprehension. I went to express oil change and tire engineers one block down from them and got treated right for a much more reasonable price.
