Had an appointment last Wednesday and received a call today (8 days later, on the same day my CC was hacked, didn't even acknowledge my CC issue just wanted a new card) all they wanted was a new card for last weeks Co-pay that wasn't billed ) (if they billed it last week no problem) made me feel like I was trying to get over on them. The one actual rehab I had was very good, but I feel it's all about the copay not even taking into account the money they get from my insurance.

I waited an entire month for my initial appointment, and after three weeks of consistent sessions with an excellent physical therapist, I attempted to re-book only to find that my therapist was fully booked for the next six weeks. It is disappointing that the office does not provide scheduling priority for existing patients who are already in active treatment. This is unfortunate, as the physical therapist I worked with was exceptional and dedicated.

University Orthopedics places making as much money off you as possible far above patient interests…read more My experience here was terrible and I want to warn anyone else against trusting the team here. I received bills for things that team members explicitly told me were not going to cost me money. If anyone comes into your room to give you something, tell them to shove it. If they schedule you to with the OT team here, push it back a couple weeks ago so you don't end up going only to find out you aren't recovered enough to start. This group even has their sales people dress in scrubs so you'll assume they are care providers. University Orthopedics is not a place you to go to get your injuries healed, it's a place you go to to lose trust in doctors. I would recommend going anywhere else so you don't end up feeling as stupid as I do for trusting them.

Scheduled a year ahead, I show up and they tell me they have no record of my appointment. The receptionist logs into the 'old system' and finds my appointment for that day and time... Their system error is my problem because the doctor is too busy to see me that day, come back on X date and time. The new date arrives, I show up and I'm told that can't be right the doctor doesn't even work that day. They wrote down the appointment wrong, and I needed to return 2 days later. Finally - third visit and I actually see the MD. I ask some questions about my ongoing allergies, and they charge me for a sick visit. I will never step foot in this place again. The doctors aren't engaged, it's basically a medicine factory, and not even a good one. I consider it a snapshot of everything wrong with the US medical system all in one place.

I have been a patient of Houghton Physical Therapy several times over the years and have been more…read morethan satisfied with the results every time. Most recently Adam and Todd worked with me to relieve shoulder pain that was greatly affecting my daily life. Going in I thought that I would very likely need surgery to relieve the pain which I had been experiencing for more than a year and was impacting my daily life. Through well planned out, patient and steady therapy laid out by Todd and administered by Adam, I slowly but steadily saw improvement to the point that I am no longer hampered by shoulder pain during normal activity. I am also able to play hockey and pickle ball again without restriction. I would recommend Houghton Physical Therapy to anyone that wants to work with a professional group of therapists who provide excellent results in a friendly and accommodating atmosphere.
