I recently had my entire roof replaced by Sunny Skyline Roofing and Construction. The…read moresalesperson/owner (Sergio) provided a quote of $14,910.00 to include removal, supplies, labor, and clean-up. I had already obtained three other roof quotes ranging from $14,300.00 to $16,470.00 and decided to proceed with Sergio's proposal. After signing the contract and the work began, Sergio informed me later that day about additional issues found with the decking, which needed replacement. He stated that I needed an additional 800 square feet of plywood (I mean decking) which would cost $5,200. Talk about "bait and switch" because now the project has increased to $20,000 instead of $14,910.00 originally quoted due to Sergio's high-pressure sales approach, I signed the revised agreement, as the work had already begun. Believe me, Sunny Skyline Roofing and Construction is entitled to a profit and rightfully so but please don't "rip off" customers in the process through inflated or deceptive pricing practices as it undermines your company's integrity. To be fair, I give them an (A) for Workmanship/Quality, an (A-) for Clean-Up only because the crew left lots of bits of insulation in my back yard, however, Sergio stated it would dissipate once it rains, and finally a (B-) for Cost/Transparency due to the additional THOUSANDS of dollars it cost me through their bait and switch practice which unfortunately impacted my overall experience with Sunny Skyline Roofing and Construction Company.

If you are considering others, just look no further....THIS IS YOUR CONTRACTING COMPANY AND JEFF IS THE GUY TO make your champagne wishes and caviar dreams come true for your home! Hands down! Integrity: Have you ever had your contractors back out out or come late or re-write the change order for work? Not Pinnacle. They worked with us during the entire process and were timely, respectful and thoughtful in craftmanship and delivery. We had cabinet built ins put into our home. They were the focal point of my living room. Jeff took my conceptual drawings and worked with his crew to make a beautiful product! His woodworking crew always sought perfection in design and craftsmanship. To the point that they improved on things I did not even see or realize. It's like they were building personal cabinets in their own home. Same with the paint crew who stayed late to rework items they were not happy with. In a time of high demand, everyone at Pinnacle placed quality over speed. You just cannot find this type of quality and ethic frequently. Responsiveness: I called an uncountable number of contractors, Jeff was able to visit our home within 24 hours and yield a quote shortly thereafter. Payment was a breeze, electronic, secure and professional. If I needed to ask Jeff about a change, he responded within the day if not hours / minutes. He was always a joy to work with. His staff was too. Everyone was kind and professional. I was (get this!) even sad when our job was over. Above & beyond:  Jeff does not just want to deliver. He wants to exceed your expectations. He will stop at nothing less to understand your style. He'll go to lengths to source materials to bring your requests to life. I think he hit up 5 stores to find our built in hardware. Initially, I loved Darren and RGC but after about 6 months of the flat roof replacement, the issues…read morebegan to persist. The roof is not sloped nor has even the slightest pitch and so we effectively have a swimming pool on our roof. The leaks have continued for a year or so now while RGC did come out to "fix" the issues initially, the shotty work has caused significant issues and has impacted the well being and health of multiple people, including my child who is an infant. We have now had to relocate temporarily while we have the water damaged dry wall and insulation removed, as well the entire roof replaced. It was certainly not worth the price that RGC quoted nor the hassle of continuing to work with them. We tried our best to work with them for repeat issues but the volume of issues and pervasiveness of the issues far outweighs any benefit and demonstrates the lack of quality that RGC offers. I would highly encourage anyone reading to not use them for any type of roof repairs or replacements. A five year roof shouldn't be disintegrating in less than a year. We have had multiple roofing companies come and inspect their work and all of which came to the same conclusion, poor services rendered and complete shock on how old the roof is. I certainly recognize that a flat roof would retain water in some areas as it is flat; however, this can be counteracted by appropriately sloping and pitching the roof, as well as using quality materials and experienced personnel. It's unfortunate, truly. The roof is now about 2.5 years at this point, RGC seemed to get more serious and responsive to the issues once other parties got involved. So I can't knock them for responsiveness after the fact. I have all of the documented correspondence and picture/video evidence if RGC would like to dispute this information as inaccurate as it's pretty damming. At the very least, they should accept accountability for this extremely poor service and seek the appropriate course of action. Edit on 9/19/2023: I wanted to provide a little bit more information. The roof was initially replaced in September 2020, within a month RGC was called back out for repairs because water was leaking through the roof. RGC was great to work with at this point but as the months and years went by it just became worse. I found some images online of RGC promoting/advertising the roof replacement back in September-October 2020 which is what it is, since there weren't pervasive issues up to the point. But there's an April 2023 video of the same photos/videos dating back to the 2020 period that one of the owners of RGC has up which is wild, because they are well aware of everything dating back to 2020 and posting it as if the roof is even mildly salvageable is beyond me. You get what you pay for, remember that.

He had a price quote before leaving my driveway Including a $435 "home show discount" When he got back to the office he "found some manufacturer rebates," and these two reduced the original quote by $1500 The price was also lower than the other company who gave me a quote Some other companies demand a daunting 50% deposit. Eight Point had a more user friendly approach They were able to come in just a few weeks to fit my schedule, and did a fine job. I told them not to run power tools (noise) before 8:00 am, and they didn't. I have a koi pond in the yard and couldn't have nails or debris falling into it; they brought sheets of plywood and covered the pond completely (photo). Their guys are go-getters, clean and respectful, hard workers - and the crew (photo) includes a gal, yes, up there hammering nails! As a female contractor myself, I appreciate that Greg had other jobs going on around the city but stopped by several times to be sure all was going well The team removed old shingles, replaced rotted decking, installed new shingles, ridge vents, gutter guards - all in one day (photo, mine's on the left) My neighbor had them do his roof too (no photo) and they were able to complete both in one day (each townhome is ¼ lot). As it fell dark there were a few things that didn't get completed, so, after having worked on other roofs all day, the team came back twice to finish those up. They did a good job cleaning up debris and nails, including from neighbors' properties The company uses some high-tech tools like drones to look at the roof. They hold weekly staff meetings, which I find impressive. And treat not just their clients well, but their employees, too A lot of reviewers mention their pretty roofs.
