I think it's hard to dislike any food tour, even if the food is OK, and not that special. I think…read morethey have kind of a "built-in" advantage over other types of tours for that reason. I'm speaking from experience as we've taken one now each place we travel to (if they have one) for the last 6 years, which is when it seems many good ones began to get started (US). I noticed the reviews so far are all from people in San Antonio. Nothing wrong with that - I live here too. However, none mention having taken other food tours they've taken so as to compare it. When you do, I find this tour a bit pricey and not balanced. I know it's a about the food for the most part and was the main reason we took it despite the cost. Yet, I was hoping for a true overall cultural experience like the best food tours we've done. That way you walk away satisfied gastronomically but also feel like you'd received a real "taste" of the city's culture you're visiting while allow your palate to rest while "digesting" things other than food. As I stated above, most food tours get good reviews, so I believe this is what helps separate the stand-outs from the average.

Our guide was knowledgable about the places we went and the ingredients used in our food. We had a food and beverage sampling at several popular restaurants. Every place we went had our table ready for us and hot food out within minutes. I am a vegetarian and each place had something for me. At the end of the evening we were stuffed. The next day we made reservations to return to our favorite place on the tour (Bliss). If you are visiting San Antonio this tour should not be missed.

Both wine tasting locations were charming & pleasantly differed in ambience. The tastings offered a generous variety of wines & good pours. Our guide Diana was delightful & gave us tips on wine tasting & the process of wine production. She even offered the history of winery's in the Texas Hill Country & the local town Boerne. So if you or your group are in San Antonio look up Cottonwood Wine Tours & book yourselves for a fine day out!

Love the park and ride, it's a relief being able to drink alcohol and not have to worry about calling an uber or cab. The park and ride allows you the opportunity to just relax, and enjoy the experience. If you log onto their website they have different tour packages. We did the Guadalupe River tour. We stopped at 3 Winery's and a distillery and tried some moonshine. We stopped for lunch in Comfort, Tx which was a cute little town. You get out and enjoy a some time looking around before moving on with the tour. The winery's they take you to are just amazing. What you get for the price is such a great deal. We never felt rushed. They allowed us to sight see and allowed us to just take our time to enjoy each winery. Diana or Robin even took our photos.

I was very impressed with the smoothness of the tour & how it flowed throughout the day. It began at 11:00 am. & ended at 5:00 pm. Every Brewery we went to, we got to sample the drinks, and drink as much as we wanted all while having our DD ( craft cruiser shuttle us around town ). It was absolutely wonderful. I would definitely go on this with several buddies of mine who are beer drinkers. They also have wine tours as well! It was a clean, organized, and efficient tour with a knowledgeable operator.

Mike was a super knowledgeable tour guide, and his choice in music for the van was fantastic. Mike was also super personable and answered the entire groups questions (Even if they'd been asked earlier in the trip ) The breweries and staff (Especially Dos Sirenos) that we went to were great, and the beer was even better. The whole experience was fantastic, and If I am ever back in San Antonio I will definitely re-book. P.S. Make sure to eat at least once on the tour so you can enjoy more beer

Booked online https://trolleypub.com/sanantonio/pub-crawl-route/ and texted link to all riders for waiver that is required to be signed in advance. Our time slot was changed to put us with other riders. I'm assuming they don't want to have two trips half full versus one trip totally full. Once that was confirmed, the total fee was charged. The address given 517 Live Oak is different than the Broadway address listed on Yelp page. Read the FAQs beforehand to get the best experience. We parked underneath the bridge, next to the hotel because it seemed safer than the vacant gravel parking lot on Live Oak. The meet up spot is the parking lot of a bar, Home Room. Arrived 15 minutes before scheduled departure time, as instructed. Trolley arrived at 2 pm. No name or ID verification or anything like that. Driver didn't have a set route or offer a route, so we requested the bars that are on the downtown route. Even though there is an ice chest onboard, we were able to fit our own small ice chest. (It wasn't clear if they provided ice in their chest but this trip they did. Our bag of snacks were stored in the overhead storage. We visited Box Car, Bentley's Beer Garden and Back Unturned. La Roca was on the list but it was closed. There was a gals party of 7 that road with us and they played their music, which was OK. They sat on the trolley the whole time, even when we did bar stops. They were salty and threw an occasional negative comment but by the end, they chilled out. Driver was friendly. We asked him to come inside the bars to flag us down when it was time to go. We tipped cash instead of doing it from follow up email. Trolley has power so pedaling is not critical. Seats can be a bit uncomfortable. There is a bench seat at the back (no pedals). According to their Yelp history, its been a while since this company was reviewed. So, know its legit.
