Competent incompetent company, they will make a mistake and then turn around and blame you even though you stated your request in order details, I requested documents to be translated and the order turned out to be wrong, but they wanted to charge an extra fee to correct their mistake, also dont try calling customer service all their employees are dot heads and you wont be able to understand anything they say. Their customer service rep was very helpful and all the documents were properly translated within the 24 hour time frame. As a service, I would definitely recommend! Having said that, I do think that the website/general process can be simplified in order to maximize time, and their website needs an update in order to become more user friendly. For example on the main page under 'About Us', the white waves that move across the page, end up clouding the last two options (quite important ones) which are Reviews & We call you back. I called Universal Translation Services and asked how long it would take to translate ONE page (my birth certificate). I was asked to submit my birth certificate for review. After I did, I received a confirmation that my document would be translated in 24 hours. Based on that information I placed an order and received confirmation that "project is in progress" and estimated delivery date was the next day. Four days have passed and I have not received the translation, and I never heard back from them, so I had to call Project Manager Nidhi Sharma who sent me the confirmation email. She was very unpleasant and extremely unprofessional. First she put me on hold while she was "checking" my case, and then told me she COULD NOT find my document! I reminded her that I sent it four days ago, and that she personally confirmed that she'd received it. She kept repeating that she couldn't find it, and the only way for me to get the translation would be to send my document again!! I told her that it's Friday afternoon, and if I don't have the translation I'd be late with the immigration service. She said that nothing could be done until I send the document again. AND THEN SHE HANG UP on me. Later that day I received an email (this time not signed) telling me that they "have found" my document and will have it translated. It took another two days of waiting. It was a week after placing my order that I finally got the translation. The kind of service (or rather dis-service) that Universal Translation Services provide is exceedingly late, disorganized, below any acceptable level, and moreover the staff (their so-called "Project Manager") was incredibly arrogant, impolite and rude. Tried to get a marriage certificate translated. Sent payment and was charged on the same day. Deducted from bank account. Waited 2 days then they said payment was not sent. If I could give Minus- 10 to this company, I would! Stay away!! It's a complete scam business and totally unprofessional. I was organizing charity services for Ukraine, and we had a live webinar. Universal did not provide the contacts for the interpreter on time, and the interpreter was 6 minutes late to the session, then walked off the job!! Universal took my money for 2 90 minute sessions and did not provide the service. I called several times this week, speaking to "Rafael" . With each call I got a different excuse: ""Manager is out of the office" "I'm so sorry. We need to check with the interpreter". Horrible translation, the worst I've seen. Some words don't even exist in English language: they wrote the word "passeds" - a verb in plural LOL instead of "tests" (it was translation of the Russian word ""). Overall translation feels like a combination of the uneducated native speaker with google translator. read more

I wasn't able to download the translation software with the link that was emailed to me, so I asked someone on live chat how to do some troubleshooting. She pasted the entire email into the conversation and then when I told her that I received the same email but still could not get it to work, she said that they don't have any software. They have pictures everywhere of mobile apps. But she started being rude and just went off on me after I asked her to pass the question to another agent. I don't think I will give this agency a try. Besides being angry, this person could not spell basic words. You would think that you have to know basic spelling, but she could not type at all. read more

10/10 recommend for large scale translations. They are the worth every penny. Turn around time was great. If I had taken the time to read through it, some spelling mistakes/ typos (fixes are included in the price if you catch it before you OK the translation for certification). I shopped around quite a bit for a cheap, and fast translation service. I recieved several quotes from other companies but they were all over priced. I just wanted my daughter's High School transcripts translated into English quick and affordable. I got the best quote, accepted it and they sent it to me a day earlier than what they said. This app forces you to give a star, they need an upgrade for -10 stars. This company offers the WORST translation service that I've seen in my life. I had a bad feeling since I ask for the quote. It was about $500, so we decided to excluded a document, and the new quote was higher. Less documents higher price. We tried again and the final quote was $10 less than the first. However, I needed the translations and approved this quote. The translations were sent on time, but I should say that it if they were made by a person, this person never has written in English in his life. There were words that does not exist in English, and the mistakes were massive. I believe that Google translate could make it better. Eleven documents with errors that were beyond of the reasonable typos or mistakes. Any consideration about date format. We asked for a refund and they said that they never turn money back despite the translation are worthless and the time that you waste trying to find an answer. They said that my translation will be assigned to an experienced translator. That means that the previous was a rookie or a Google translate website. I spent a whole day highlighting all the mistakes, and despite the complaint they never turned the money back. The final translations were sent 2 weeks later, but definitely I'm not going to waste more time on reviewing them. read more

If no stars were available that's what they'd get. They refused to return my money after they failed to disclose to me that they don't do wet ink signatures. Only to do electronic signatures. The department of state of Florida required wet ink signatures. The documents were worthless to process with the state of Florida apostles department. It was for apostles for documentation to get married in the country of Ecuador. They knew they didn't do that and I know they knew it was required for the state of Florida. Basically they stole my $110 dollars! I tried to dispute with my credit card company and was shocked some how they convinced them it was valid and was ok to steal my money! BUYER BEWARE from this company. Make sure you check everything before you move forward with any company hard lesson learned to me! I will be making reviews on all sites on the internet relating to this company and spreading the word. And I'm very hopeful your business will suffer as a result. You messed with the wrong person I promise you. So sad this business has to be so dishonest with it's customers and not doing the right thing and refunding my money as it's so obvious they mislead and lied to me. I made terrible mistake using this company. I SHOULD HAVE USED LANGUEX.  Universal translation service promised to translate Documents from Thai language to English. They gave me a price including shipping original documents to me.  They gave me a completion date, which not only they did not meet, but took an extra 5 days to complete the translation.  I want to be clear. This was 10 pages with a total of 190 words total for 10 pages, so very very small job to complete. Upon completion they apologized for the delay and promised to ship the documents to me overnight Am so I would have them first thing Monday morning.  Saturday afternoon I get an email from one of their employees informing me that I must pay extra for the shipping that I already paid for, to receive the translation original hard copies by Monday March 25, 2019.  If they had done the documents and corrections right away. They would have shipped FedEx ground and been delivered to me on time, without having to pay again. Instead every time I called to find out what was going on with my translation. I had to start all over again explaining where we were with the last person at their company as far as corrections. OMG!!! This translation service turned out to be a nightmare.... Best advice I can give you is don't trust them with your important translation as I did. They will lie to you and then find a way to charge you extra, if you want your translated documents. read more

They do reply quickly and provide some translation. But the quality is not too high. For some reason, they correct old spelling mistakes and make new ones. They could not have the correct spelling in just 4 words, which I pointed out at the same time, so I had to check it again and again 5 times. They also don't provide reimbursement in case you don't accept the low-quality translation. read more

Horrible 'company'!!! This is a scam, not a business. Worst experience dealing with a company providing services to me ever! They claim they provide cheap services at great prices. This is a joke: while their prices seem cheaper yes, their quality (of everything, from translation to customer service) sucks!!! They claim they know what they are doing and that 'hundreds if not thousands of happy customers have used their services'.. Well, I was definitely not one of them. They use doubtful deceiving business practices for which reason they should be banned as a 'company'. To be more specific, the translation in itself was done by a beginner translator at best. I put hours of my own time to turn it into a decent translation.. as for their 'certification page', that had the vaguest, sloppiest, and weirdest verbiage I have ever seen on anything like this. Totally useless. They claim they know how to provide a certified translation 'as they have done it before hundreds of times' but they don't. I had to pay a different company to re-do my translation. They use the ATA's name to advertise their 'quality' but ATA, a reputable professional organization, should be aware of these scam companies that use their name and they should not allow them to use their name so easily. Universal Translation should be banned by some serious regulations be in the translation business until hey higher their standards considerably and start hiring some real translators. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! You'll pay for a totally useless translation like I did and you won't be able to get your money back. read more

I would Strongly avoid this company for Translations. I submitted a simple academic transcript and Diploma and its been more than 3 weeks that the translation was not done properly and still running. I've reviewed the file over 10 times already and they always miss the same points. They even missed a lot o grades, the authenticity code, my OWN NAME and a lot of indentations. There is a poor lack of version control where errors corrected prior appear in other reviewed versions All in all, you will pretty much do the translation for them and spend countless hours trying to get you file right. UTS does not pay the freelance translators who do the hard work even during the hard times of the pandemic. They keep on sending the jobs, but neither respond to queries nor update on the status of the jobs submitted. In the end, they never pay. They are deceitful. An ethical client should not encourage cheating. There are many other well-reputed translation firms available online. read more

Stay away from this company! I worked on two projects with them as a freelance translator. Earned as much as EUR 10. Then I stopped getting projects for wichever reason. Now I can't get my money because on the one hand I am not getting new projects and on the other hand the minimum withdrawal amount is USD 25. The translated documents had mistakes in the spelling of my name, or in the date written in my original document, while in both cases, no translation was needed for such details: this required only to copy my name and the date as mentioned in my original document. Beware not authentic notary seal, not authentic signatures and not authentic certification. We paid Universal Translation for translation with "ORIGINAL" notary seals, "ORIGINAL" signatures and "ORIGINAL" certification. All we received was an email to print which is not accepted by government agencies who require all "ORIGINAL" signatures, notary stamps and certifications not "SCANS" or "PHOTOCOPIES" of signatures and not "SCANS" or "PHOTOCOPIES" of notary seals and certification seals. I reached out to Universal Translation to ask them to mail me documents with "ORIGINAL" signatures, notary stamps and certifications for which we already paid. They said NO unless I paid more money. So I decided to visit their address listed on their website. When I arrived at the address I could not find their business info on the building directory. I asked and quickly realized that it was a virtual office made to look like a legit business but looked more like a broom closet. So I called their number again and requested again documents with "ORIGINAL" signatures, notary stamps and certification as we originally requested and they said again to pay more money. We have already paid for services we did not receive. All we have are photocopies which can not be used as government agencies do not accept them. read more
