(REM = Remainders) That's where they sell the left over cut scraps of all kinds of metal. I can usually find something that will work for my current project there. I'm usually looking for angle or square tube. Today I found a piece of flat aluminum - perfect for my project. About 5 pounds. $14 out the door. :-) FYI: REMs sell by the pound, at something like half price versus the full size pieces. When you buy rems, you weight it on the scale by the front door across from the cashiers. I'll upload a photo of their current price sheet for REMs. The REM prices are posted in the REM area, which is straight through the retail store & then turn left. Customers are allowed in the REM area. M&K is also improving the wares in their store. They are selling more helpful pre-built metal parts than they used to. Gate hinges, bolts, nuts, lock boxes for steel screen doors, weld on tabs, casters, tools, drill bits, grinding wheels, gloves, & more.

I tried unsuccessfully to tell him what the problem was and what I had done to the engine already. He brushed me off rudely. I called the shop 3 days later and scheduled the pick up. Again, extremely broken English, charged me $79, no receipt, and would not tell me what he did except yelled "I clean carburetor ". Took the mower home and the engine issue had nor gone away. Still ran really rough and died several times. I took a video for proof. Drove back to his shop showed him the video and asked him what he had for my mower. I used Google translate and he would not communicate with me. Very frustrating. I asked him to fix it again and he would not. I got my money back and tried again to ask him what work he had done to my mower. I left wirh a broken mower, my $79 back, and 3 days waisted waiting for my mower to be repaired.

When I called to get more information, the receptionist was super friendly & helpful and let me know they could arrange to bring a dumpster to my house if I needed (but I didn't). She also gave me a general estimate over the phone. So when I finally rolled up with my load of bricks, I was totally preparing to talk fast to get the "friends and family" rate if she was wrong, but as she had estimated, the price was so cheap that I didn't even bother! My friend who was assisting me in dumping the bricks has more experience with LA dumps and even he was shocked at how cheap it was! So of course, this is primarily a cash-only transaction (they might take credit cards if your bill gets bigger, but I'd call and ask), so I had to leave my DL as collateral and hit the bank. The workers were totally cool & accommodating. So this is my big thank you to this company for making the disposal of a fireplace & chimney a fast, painless, and cheap process. Wish I had more business for them!
