I went last night. It was amazing. All the scare houses were really cool. Great scares and each one has a special extended scene. The Monsters one was really good. There's characters in the main pathway area between them out by the bars and stuff. The drinks are good but a little pricey but not as bad as the Strip. The food from the snack bar place was really good. The reason I deducted one star was because of one weird tall gross actor guy when we first came in. He stopped us on the way in and asked why we were there, which was weird but the gross part was him looking me up and down kinda leering at me. Then as we walked away the big machine behind the first bar started making a bunch of noise. The weird guy turned looking at it and looked like he was getting sexual stimulation from it. We came to Universal Horror Nights Las Vegas to celebrate my 73-year-old mother's birthday, and it was completely ruined. She made a lighthearted joke to a performer and tried to pose for a picture -- he falsely claimed she touched him and ran to security. Instead of asking what happened, security immediately surrounded my 5'3" senior mother and treated her like a criminal. The response was aggressive, humiliating, and completely out of proportion. What should have been a fun birthday turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. Management should seriously review staff training on how to handle misunderstandings with professionalism and respect, especially toward older guests. read more

Purchased a Fraidy Cat ticket ($50) to access supposed "holiday fest" and Xmas offering they advertised on the website. No snow globe. No themed drinks. Holiday patio was closed to "weather," although it was 60 degrees. I appreciate Margie offering us to go through one haunted house, but that's not why we came. We deserved a refund since the Holiday offering was complete false advertising. In general, the Fraidy Cat ticket is not worth it. $50 dollars just to get inside to access bars and restaurants where you pay more money? Total rip off. read more

Had to go check this new attraction out so we decided to go on Sunday afternoon at 2pm when they opened. They do had a nice ample parking garage at Area 15 where this attraction is located. Parking was free and easy to get in and out (they also offer valet parking, but not really necessary when they are not busy). The were a couple things regarding tickets I was not happy about. They offer a local price of $59 per ticket, however, it is only valid during certain times (we paid $89 per ticket). Also, make sure everyone in your party has their local ID if you buy the local priced tickets (my wife didn't want to bring her purse so I only had her passport card in my wallet and we had to go back to the box office and pay an additional $10). Once we were in line to get in, we waited about 30 minutes to get our tickets scanned and through security (not sure why they were regulating entry like this). Overall, the setup in side is nice and they have a center area with plenty to look at, shows, characters lingering around and even have food/drink establishments. There were 4 houses with different themes (monsters, chain saw massacre, exorcist, and scarecrow). It took us about 10 minutes on average to go through one house. We thought the chain saw massacre was the best for scares and thrills, and because it did not get backed up nor did people come up on us from behind too quickly (timed entry between groups was better). The other houses were good too, but they tended to get backed up too much so the actors inside did not really get time to reset for separate groups especially in the exorcist house. The merchandise store upon exit was also stocked pretty good with merchandise. Overall, we had a good experience, but they definately can improve on a few things as they are opened longer. We most likely will return in the future especially if we have visitors in town. read more

the haunted houses here with the same names from Halloween Horror Nights such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre from HHN last year are not identical. Each one is entirely unique. Consequently, HHN lovers like myself get. a unique experience in each house. These are all on par with the Houses at Universal Studios and in some ways I prefer the format. For example, at HHN in LA, you are in a large group so you miss out on actors popping out. You will see them ahead of you and be like damn I missed it. But here, they send out each party individually so generally speaking it's just you/your party in each room. This intimate setting makes it more immersive and superior for taking vids/pics with your phone. The lines are way shorter so they can do so. If you are new to haunted houses, I can say that if you like horror you will LOVE the universal studio houses/events. They are owned by comcast, and produce many movies, so they resources at their disposal, set design, and ability to bring these stories to life is unparalleled. It is a great opportunity as well to practice that top down executive control of your PFC over your amygdala by engaging in rational thinking and/or somatic psychotherapy skills during your journey in the houses. Of course, that is the licensed clinical counselor in me saying this, but the concept still holds true. Now some might say, ok well, this is the HHN super light version, and yet it is the same price as the real deal HHN for general entrance. The key to keep in mind though is that your always paying extra in vegas, and when you consider what you are getting here as far as quality is concerned, it is not too far outside the range of other top budget immersion experiences out there. The Actors are amazing!! I love the props, performance and creativity. The jump scares were great. They had me screaming a time or to. Only problem I had was the Allied security guards following me and my daughter around like I'm going to beat someone or steal something. I was told 7 times no flash photography. I told the supervisor that I was told 7 times already. I guess he didn't like that. He made sure I had a guard watching me at all times and he was barking orders like the military. Our group had a truly terrible experience. Margie, the manager on staff that evening, should not be working a customer service position. Our group had 9 people in it. 2 people in our group had an issue with their tickets. The credit card was charged & then refunded. Instead of finding a solution to allow the 2 additional people to re-purchase tickets to rectify the website error, Margie came out to talk to us using a fake customer service voice that could not be interpreted as anything short of condescending and patronizing. We were told we could come back tomorrow during the day but that there was absolutely nothing she would do to assist us that night. We did not find this to be an acceptable solution as several of us had to work on Friday during the day. We continued to request better customer service from than to simply be turned away due to a website error that the staff admitted had occurred to multiple people. Margie at some point said "what? I can't hear you." & a member of our party spoke louder in response. She took that opportunity to state that we were being aggressive and inappropriate. She became overwhelmed with the situation, walked away, & sent security to remove our entire party from the premises. Not a single person in our party was aggressive toward her, she just didn't like that her customer service skills were found lacking. Lord almighty, the absolute state of horror. You can expect the best scares in the haunt to be the abrupt opening of curtains and the line actors trying to make up for that. The soullessness and lack of props made me miss and appreciate home haunts that much more. The last house "closed" for 20 mins which was a wait that was longer than anytime we spent dragging our feet in each haunt. I would estimate 2 mins a walk thru, no animatronics, bare walls and an abundance of flashing lights. Our bartender carlito kicked ass. It's about $100 per ticket for 1 hour of of haunted houses. The amount of security guards just staring at us was annoying but also safe at the same time. My brother bought a sweater because it was cold in there but the security guard said they couldn't bring merch inside. They had to hold it so I ended up just giving my brother my jacket to wear. The fact that you can't wear a sweater that at the point is YOUR property is wild. We had to be submissive because I wasn't looking to waste more money on the tickets if we were to get kicked out over a sweater. Anyway, I had a fun time with him and that's all that matters. My favorite one aesthetically was Monsters or the cornfield one. The one that made me laugh the most was Exorcist. And the one that made me pee my pants was Texas Chainsaw. Scary? No. Fun? Definitely. You get out what you put in. We love Knotts Scary Farm , but I'm always hopeful Universal will up their game. They're still working on the 4 haunted houses / walk throughs- the scare actors need to dial their performances in. My favorite was the exorcist because of the engagement, but it still needs work. Apparently leather face didn't do all that was in the script. The scarecrow was good too. I honestly felt they were all the same type of jump scares, but the settings changed. I didn't walk away feeling a story. The teddy bear performance was meh. I love the teddy bear outfit but the actor wasn't putting in a lot of effort. Jack is fantastic! The whole cast is fantastic! They put in 110% and the audience feeds off of it. Gotta thank our bartender who gave us a heads up on the show. She also made a really good espresso martini- no alcohol. She also made my friend a drink described as Fall in a cup. Delicious! The actors walking around were engaging- the doctor, ant man, vampiress and her guard, the women flying on the wire, guy with a stocking cap covering his face, and a zombie guy and woman. Some were grouping up as we were heading out instead of engaging with guests. Gift shop is good - staff are very friendly. Pretty good selection but they need to be better stocked and with inclusive sizes. Prices are reasonable. I'd get the bathrooms themed up like the Harry Potter bathrooms in Hollywood. Bottom line for the houses: make the scares different. I want to feel different as I walk through. Different effects. Different lighting. How about feeling texture underfoot? Some wind? Lightening? Do not buy your ticket before hand. I did & my flight got canceled, so I booked another flight & then that got canceled. I called the number on the website while at the airport to tell them I would not arrive until after they closed & they said sorry, non refundable. The number you call is Universal Orlando so I told them I'm a Orlando passholder & asked if they could apply the credit to a Epic ticket which I'm going to next month. They said no to that too. I'm here to debunk all the poor reviews because I had an amazing time here and I wish I didn't let these reviews sway my initial thoughts. I went in expecting it to be lackluster based on the things i was reading but OMG! Some of the houses were better than ones i've experienced at actual Universal Parks. We went on a Thursday evening and it was slow at first but after 7 it got pretty busy which was nice to see. The Universal Monsters house was the first one we did and it blew my mind. It was quite legthy and the production was INSANE and we got scared every 5 seconds I kid you not! In my opinion it was better than the previous Universal Monsters houses that have been at Universal Hollywood. Next was Texas Chainsaw Masacre which again was better than the one at the park. Shorter than the monsters houses but still incredibly immersive and genuinely scary! Next was Exorcist which again, liked more than the one in the park. And lastly was Scarecrow which was so much fun, scare actors were ON IT and also very interactive which was a nice touch to the experience. Drinks were bomb, food was good, shows were fun and roaming scare actors were so much fun. Overall great experience and I highly suggest if you're a horror fan. Will definitely come back and excited to see what the future holds for this place! read more

Huge disappointment and expected more since this is out on by universal No experience entering other than walls wrapped which are mainly falling off. Inside is very cool with the bars, well thought out and designed. Each haunted house is very cheesy, more so for you children. The only decent one would be the scarecrow. Goes by extremely quick. Our biggest disappoint was a lot of areas you could be scared nothing happens. So we asked why, if they are under staffed The staffs informed us some scarers are working 4 spots and have to bounce around. So yes they are short staffed Would love to see more of an experience outside and to be scared, this is for little children maybe 8 years maybe would get scared if that. For the time being I wouldn't go back and recommend saving money if anyone's considering going here HUGE disappointment I will come back once they open the restaurants to the public but it's not worth paying to go inside currently and think everyone will maybe go once if they are lucky currently read more

For 10.00 more I could wait till October and go to universal........ which although they are set up pretty identical at least there's other things to do and see. This was about the bars ....... Which of course are way over priced. 26.00 for a double. The bar should be cool and it was. Which brings me back to it's all about the bar. The actors are mediocre at best. Cheap help. Honest review from an HHN Fan: My husband and I decided to buy the tickets for the Unlimited General Admission Access for the 7pm time. Here's the Good and the Bad from our experience - UNIVERSAL, YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!! The Good: - The food at the premier restaurant is pretty good so definitely have a seat and enjoy the cheesy Boiler Bread with a drink. - It's very thoughtful in the restaurant that they open the garage doors while the show is happening so the folks eating are able to watch as well. - Full bar, skip the signature cocktails unless there's something you absolutely must have. - The effects in the mazes were pretty cool but you can miss it depending on the reset. - The restrooms were clean. - Hami-kuma - so fun! The Bad: - Didn't feel too immersed in the main hub, looked like a prop warehouse. - The scares need to be refined in both the mazes and the wandering performers. The maze performers were late at scaring us nearly every time and we were actually walking pretty slow to appreciate the scenery. A lot of the scares came from behind us. - Suggestion to Uni, for the future is it would be great if some stilt walkers were added in some of the mazes to create a bit of height for the scares. It felt flat with mainly window scares. Puppets are also a great added feature but we understand that might've been out of budget for this time. - The main show with Jack and Chance was probably the worst. A lot of talented performers and dancers but the actual show needs a big time rewrite. Like, big time. - The main stage has a structural column right in the middle of it so it's difficult to see the entire stage from multiple viewpoints. - Since you can view the show from the restaurant, it would be nice if there were speakers in the restaurant with the music from the show so everyone can enjoy. It felt like the restaurant became a dead space when the show was on. Things to Know Before You Go: - The 4 mazes close and reopen while you are there between the hours of operation 2:00-10:00pm so plan accordingly and ask for a sheet with all of the times. - It seems like we could've gone inside any time before our 7pm allotted time - once again, hours of operation are 2:00-10:00pm so I'm not sure why there are 2 designated times for guests to enter. - All of the shows are the same show on repeat. There's no furthering of the story as the night goes on. - Certain merch might not be available. We were looking for a basic t-shirt or tote bag with "Universal Horror Unleashed" on it and they were sold out 3 weeks after opening. Even the plastic shopping bags to carry your merch out didn't have any branding on them. The retail workers told us to check back in January for more merch options or they might have an online store eventually since we don't live in the area. My advice: - If you must choose the 7pm time slot and it's your first time going, just get the base ticket and maybe eat some food before. To us, this is basically "HHN Junior" - you can probably take first timers here and get scared but for HHN fans, perhaps wait until they've been in operation for six months to a year and then go. read more

We came to Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas for a fun family night and got the opposite. At entry, a tall black female guard started yelling at my wife mid-bag-check while another guard was already searching my daughter's bag. It was aggressive, uncalled for, and humiliating in front of our child. When we asked management to review the security footage to clear things up, that same guard falsely claimed we threatened her--which was completely untrue. Instead of checking the video, the manager backed the guard and had us removed. Went in for the soft opening and had a great time! The ambience is very spooky and well done! They have many different areas with great quality props appropriate for each area! Lots of actors there that gave a great performance and plenty of energy. I even got spooked a couple times before I even entered the attractions. Plenty of bars as well, very easy to a get a drink. The bar in the back had plenty of seating as well. At a certain point preforms even came by to interact with the guests in the area. The exhibits are fun! Lots of interactions and very unique and well done props and areas appropriate for each area. read more

We purchased 3 tickets for $69 each plus taxes for onetime access to enter 4 haunted houses and fees (almost $300) another offer was $99 unlimited access. This attraction was advertised as 4 haunted houses to view each having a different theme, however they only had one. When we arrived it took us a total of 5 minutes to walk through the entire haunted house. When we came to the end we asked the workers if this was all of it. Sadly it was. Bad logistics and experience if you go at opening: almost no scare actors, bars and restaurants not open yet, mazes open one at a time. It takes an hour after doors open for everything to be actually open and running. The ushers act annoyed if you try to go line up for a maze that isn't open yet as if you should have known all this going in. If you're hoping for an experience like Halloween Horror Nights or even my beloved Eli Roth's Goretorium (RIP), this is NOT it. The production value of the mazes and the costumes is on par with decent seasonal haunts but wholly underwhelming for a permanent attraction and value for the money is low. No piece of the experience is free - you can't even get into the gift shop without buying a ticket, unlike many of the other attractions at Area15 where you can get a souvenir and check out the vibe without actual entry. The scare actors were very committed and did a great job. Service at the bar closest to the entrance provided a fantastic experience and the drinks were okay. I'd say the most immersive and genuinely creepy maze with the best overall experience is the Scarecrow. I'm not sorry I went but I'm glad I didn't spring for the unlimited pass and I definitely wouldn't bother with a second visit. read more

We were super excited and my hubby loves Halloween horror nights in Orlando and LA. $99 steep price tag gets you almost the same mazes you get in Orlando but there you also get rides and so much more. We should had listed to him as we grabbed a wrap from their shawarma place there - we both got sick later that night. I would recommend the the John wick experience or meow wolf over horror unleashed if you had to pick . You can get better horror in their theme parks or at the IT experience.
