We were eating at the food truck that they rented for the night, and the owner walked over and asked to sit with us. We enjoyed our conversation with Duke and let him know how amazed we were, and turns out we were all from the same hometown! Do be aware that the mazes are not really recommended for children, and one of the mazes is rated R (not for the faint of heart, and was our favorite). We were blown away with the creativity and scares that Freakling Bros provided! You can really tell that these guys thoroughly enjoy what they do and put time and care into their mazes. The scare actors really put in their all and it doesn't feel cheesy or scripted. We definitely have added Freakling Bros to our list for our yearly October Bash! Beware one of the houses requires you to get on your knees to crawl through a dark damp area and there is vulgar language, along with one of the performers that shocks you with her long fingernail claws, which I felt uncomfortable with, but it didn't leave any marks. Photos are $30 each, so we passed while we took our own pictures for the night. Great overall value and loads of fun!

The sets were creepy and well-done with a few gross, unsettling moments that made the experience even better. Some areas were so dark it was hard to find the path, but that just added to the tension (and laughs). The VIP experience made things super smooth -- the line didn't feel long, and it took about 40 minutes to go through both attractions. Both were fun, but I think I liked Asylum a little more -- even with that dreadful chainsaw at the end that always makes me want to run for the exit! Heard they had a temporary resident evil theme/ interaction going on so I didn't want to miss it. I saw the chainsaw man from resident evil 4, I saw nemesis from resident evil 3 as well as Claire and Leon from resident evil 2. They had special resident evil themed drinks. They had a scavenger hunt first part in the police station then next one we did a Morse code passcode to access an outside "escape room" area where you have to get a key code to leave the area. Saw a show called demented circus in the building. Not all mazes are open at all times, we got there at opening so some things we had to wait for other mazes we had to come back at certain times which is my only negative critique but it allowed us to Spend more time here and experience more than just maze after maze. Tried the pizza skull which was like a calzone. If you're a resident evil fan I'd come before this theme setup is gone. We did each maze only 1 time. Some were good and worth another visit but I didn't pay the extra for the unlimited mazes.

However, it was just a regular outdoor maze that you zig-zag through with zombies popping out to scare you. There's nothing more to it than that. I expected the 2 ladies to be bored, but they really enjoyed it. First, the staff and docents were super friendly and knowledgable. The location is great - in the Arts District between the Strip and Fremont Street(we had a great lunch right across the street before our tour). Entry fee is very reasonable, especially for Vegas. The exhibit is split into 2 parts. Part 1 starts with Evel's youth. Then, once he became a daredevil, the go year-by-year through his career with each year in a separate "room". I really liked that each year had a board showing what else was happening in the world to give context. Another big positive was all of the short video clips scattered throughout the exhibit - they put a lot of effort into gathering TV interviews and other video for us. There were also a lot of his motorcycles interspersed in these yearly rooms, so you could see the photos, watch the videos, then turn around and 3 feet away is the actual motorcycle you just saw in the pics and video. You could see when he went from riding Triumphs to Laderas and then Harleys of different models. The exhibits had great graphics with the main points pulled out of the text of the readerboards and splashed across each exhibit. Standing next to the Snake River Jump X-2 cycle was really cool - I mean it's right there in front of your nose so you can really look it over. So many great artifacts, and displayed really well with very good lighting and backdrops to make it come to life. Part 2 was a big single room that held Evel's semi-tractor trailer and other vehicles. It also had a VR simulator where you sit on a motorcycle and go through a recreation of a jump he did. It costs an additional $15, but I felt it was worth it. My wife and sister passed on doing that. The gift shop was good, but they were out of my size in the 3 different t-shirts that I wanted. I found another one I liked in my size. They apologized and said that they had 700 people for their Grand Opening 3 weeks earlier, so they cleaned out of some sizes in some of the most popular designs. They had a life-sized model of the famous Evel Wheelie Motorcycle toy that I always wanted as a kid. They actually sell the toy in the gift shop, too (but I didn't buy one). We spent over 2 hours there, and surprisingly I was the first of the 3 of us to make it through the exhibit - the ladies lingered longer than me. Bathrooms were clean and new. They sold refreshments in the gift shop, too (important since it was 114 degrees that day). But despite the heat outside, the air conditioning was working well. Other than being out of my size on the t-shirt that I wanted, everything else was just really top notch. I highly recommend this exhibit when you are in Vegas - you won't be disappointed.

I can tell you two things, It wasn't funny, at all, but I can also tell you, Comedy ain't easy. I've done it, and even though I absolutely killed it at multiple open mics, I quickly learned, unless I wanted to keep telling the same jokes, Comedy would have to be some I attempted maybe once a month instead of once a week. So for that reason, I am going to give these guys a little slack. We should have known better, because in the history of attending comedy shows, this was the first show I attended where the comedians name did not appear on the tickets, at the venue or on the website. We probably should have stayed with our original plan to go to Jimmy Kimmel's, but we decided to support the little guy and quickly understood why so few showed up. I didn't laugh once and can tell you all four comedians decided to engage me. I responded to two of them and those without a doubt were the biggest laughs of the evening, so despite their claim that no customer would be the funniest person in the house they flunked around and found out. We have done many sets of different magic boxes and tricks, Penn and Tell, and magic shows of all kinds. We have been to many different magic shows and were regulars at Magic Castles in Los Angeles many times over. Victor's magic show started with something my kid can do........ but then it got magical!!! Victor entertained us for greater than an hour and we were more than wowwed but everything we saw. We studied his every move and couldn't tell how these magic happen. Additionally, the mind reading was mind blowing. My husband who loves magic and loves to do magic trick himself was so glad we came and watched the show. He was AMUSED!!! As for the show and venue, we were able to park at the very back of the venue. We arrived a bit early and were a little unsure of the neighborhood. Glad we were able to park outback. Once entered, we were provided a drink along with a popcorn per person. Quite honestly, the hour went by so quickly once the show started that we didn't even finish most of our popcorn or drink. We were pulled up on stage several times and were kept very very entertained. More than anything, our nine-year-olds remark regarding tells you the show was amazing. She said,"Mom I'm so glad we came. I couldn't even tell if he did anything with his hands and I was watching his hand the whole time. It just feels like pure magic." My 9 year old tested the show in Magic Castle apart several time, lol. And of course, there's my husband who still couldn't figure out most of the mind reading. He is not easily impressed, but he was extremely impressed by Victor along with the show.
