Go visit this place while you can cause when places like this are gone then they are gone forever. I've ate here quite a bit and I can tell you a few things. It's clean. The 2 ladies running the grill have always had on gloves and I've watched them make sandwiches. No problems here with cleanliness. Keep in mind this is an older grill in a gas station. It's not 5 star dining. They have sandwiches and specials of the day. If you're on the road or working and need a quick bite this is your place. There are a few booths for dining in but mostly do orders to go. You can also call in your order. The prices are great. Very affordable. The BLT will cost you $3.09 out the door. Tater tots $1.59. These tots are so good. Be sure to get the seasoned salt. Always cooked up perfectly golden brown. This place reminds me of old gas station grills I used to see in the late 70's and early 80's. Definitely not in the best side of town and I doubt I'd be here after dark. But breakfast and lunch are classic gold.

It was seasoned just right and had just the right crispiness to it. I would take it over KFC or even Popeye's any time. The convenience store/gas station itself wasn't very impressive but the chicken makes up for it. There is a small parking area for large vehicles. I spent a few nights parked in that parking lot. They also had no problems with us( transport drivers) drivers staging trucks for other drivers so they could pick up the trucks for delivery in the middle of the night. I just looked it up and it's been family owned and operated since 1963!!! I do know the (Wayne) Shuler Family now owns it and that's a wonderful family. I rented from Wayne for 8 years and he's a stand-up, good man with integrity. The grocery store offers the convenience of a small town store but the variety of larger stores. You can get home grown tomatoes, a fresh bouquet of flowers and everything in between! The staff is friendly and efficient, so you'll be ok your way in a jiffy. If you're a local, you've likely shopped here. If you're from out of town and searching this place up, go check it out!

The warm German Potato Salad we had with the American Goulash (we call it Beef-A-Roni at our house) was the surprise find...bacon, bits of translucent onion, and an herbed dressing with that just right tart sweet balance. Buttered Peas and Creamy Mashed Potatoes covered with brown gravy begged to be sides for the tomato ketchup glazed Meatloaf. Our family appreciated the touch Gay had when seasoning her vegetables, and the Baby Limas with Fried Pork Chop were another hit. We couldn't pass up a bowl of Chili Beans, flavorful but not burn your mouth spicy. I am mad at myself for not remembering that the Town & Country Meat & Produce Market carried the products I craved!
