You can tell customers feel comfortable shopping here, and it's easy to see the great relationship the staff has built with the community. Finally, the quality of the products speaks for itself. As soon as I got home, I marinated the pork chops from the Meat Box along with a pound of the shrimp and threw everything on the grill. Needless to say, it made for an incredible Saturday. Their deli cheese and meats are above average. Full disclosure, I don't use Food Lion as my primary grocery store. I do however hit Food Lions to pickup items when I don't want to stop at Walmart. Food Lion (at the time of this writing) does not have self checkouts. This can be good or bad depending on your perception of self checkouts. Some people love them, some hate them. I like having the option. One good thing I like about Food Lion is they take Apple Pay. Big time plus for me.
