Train going across the bridge.
Katherine P.

I've been wanting to get out of the house on the weekends and go walking, as long as the weather cooperates. Usually, this involves Delaware Park, which is a wonderful park. However, I wanted to give another park a try this weekend, so down we went to this unfortunately named park. I do hope that it gets a name change, because it is an interesting park, giving you a great view of the Niagara River and Canada right across the way. There's a multi-use bike path that goes through the park, it and the park in general are in need of some TLC. The bike path lines are pretty faded and being eaten by the land, and there are a ton of downed branches along the way. One of the cooler aspects of the park are the interpretive signs explaining events of Canal history as well as the War of 1812. I'm guessing this place is much busier in the summer, although it was by no means empty when we visited. There were people with off-leash dogs and some others doing some fishing on the canal side. It would also be a fun place for trainspotting, we watched a gigantic freight train creep across, loaded up with cars being imported into the US from Canada. I'll definitely visit again!

This is a great park. There are two ways to get to this island. The one bridge is a one way kinda sketchy bridge, but it's pretty neat to go over. And then there's a drawbridge with a light to get over to the island. The views are great from this park and the sunsets are amazing. The trail on the break wall is great! So many cool views. It's a definite place to visit.

After having some ice cream, we went for a quick walk throughout the park. This park really is great. It is a little small but that also makes it so nice. No need for maps or worries of getting lost, it's perfect for a nice walk. My son loves looking for all the wildlife especially if there are any ducks or fish. Luckily for him, there are plenty of ducks around here. Another nice thing about this park is that it is very scenic for photography. There were a few different groups there doing what looked like senior pictures or photos before an event. Whether you're looking for a nice walk, scenic backdrop or just a quiet place to sit on a bench and think, this park has it all.

I am amazed at how restful and beautifully maintained it is. The flowers were welcoming, the small waterfall enchanting, the trails curious and winding, and the wildlife amusing. I felt more relaxed and grounded after my visit than I have in a long time. The only negative was that someone was smoking weed on a park bench and the odor instantly turned me off. I'm sure smoking is not allowed, but I was chagrined that in this little section of The Garden of Eden someone would assume to make the place smell like a stoner's living room.

An elevator takes you down 70m go the base of the Niagara Gorge and onto a beatiful, well maintained boardwalk trail. FYI, It is not a long trail. You walk back the same way you came to get back to that elevator which leads you back to the entrance/gift shop. Washrooms located accross the street. Visitors are able to go down near the water and walk along a parallel boardwalk, which gives you an amazing view of the rushing whitewater. This attraction is also an excellent opportunity for photography. I was able to take a lot of beautiful photos, and the scenery made it easy to capture some memorable shots. The sound, movement, and force of the water made the experience feel peaceful and exciting at the same time. I also appreciated that it was self-guided and easy to navigate. You can move at your own pace, stop for pictures, and really take in the view without feeling rushed. Overall, I really enjoyed the White Water Walk. It is a simple but beautiful attraction, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Niagara Falls, especially if you enjoy nature, scenic views, and photography.

I ma a huge rock hound, crystal nut- not just because my name is Crystal, I've loved picking up shiny rocks since I was a small child. Quartz and mica are two I remember finding often as a child. Here- they had a huge inventory of various raw and polished stones, fossils, animal bones and such. And that was just in the Nature Exchange! The park is wonderful too, plenty of trails to lead you down by the river, wonderful trees, great overlook viewpoints throughout. As part of the Niagra Parks system, they have bike trails too. We stopped here twice, once to explore and once for me to pop back in with my photos and pick out a raw piece of turquoise! A birthday win for me! Shout out to the young lady who talked to me in the morning, she wasn't there when I returned- and I am pretty sure the 2 young men thought I was crazy (I am), but they were all very helpful for this big kid out playing in nature!
