One of the better prices for hourly rehearsal space in the Bay Area! Super clean, A/C and WIFI work great, and all of the gear I've used there is tuned perfectly and in great condition! The owner is super friendly and very attentive so if you need anything he's right there to help. I will definitely be back soon! read more

Fearing the repercussions of drawing the ire of our neighbors, my band sought a place to practice and found Unitone on Craigslist. With the promise of convenient and easy-to-reserve practice studios, we gave it a shot. We had such a good time practicing in the well-equipped Room 5 that we've been back multiple times. We've made good use of the PA system and in-room kit, and I'm sure we've tested the limits of the room's sound dampening. We've been able to count on Unitone, and Siga has always been helpful, friendly, and accommodating when we've needed some extra time. Our lead guitarist also rates Siga's fretboard work as "absolutely buttery". read more

Unitone Music Studio - The large practice room is big enough for a five-pieve band and all accompanying equipment. - Musical Instruments & Teachers Near Me - San Jose, California

Siga is an awesome dude. Great communication, very patient, and accomodating. I bought a used amp on a very reasonable price. Amp is in great condition - like new. I have a tight schedule but Siga was accomodating to my schedule. He even offered STAYING LATER than his usual hours just so he can accomodate me. (I ended up coming in within the business time though, so he didn't actually stayed longer for me... but the fact that he offered and was willilng to stay longer was a GREAT gesture by a shop owner). Thank you for this making the buying process smooth! read more

A really good place to learn or record. Been going about two months for bass lessons, and the instructor is both flexible and experienced -- capable of teaching beginners to advanced students, but always letting them go at their own pace. They also have a surprisingly large number of small rehearsal and recording rooms, most with quality gear already set up, so that you can walk right in and start working without even having to lug your own equipment (unless you want to) -- and playing at actual playing volumes, thanks to very decent soundproofing. A clean, modern, friendly facility in every respect, and an extremely nice place to visit. read more

PAY ATTENTION HERE if you'd like to go for instrument lesson, especially if you are green hand, don't be FOOLED! You deserve a much better teacher if you are willing to pay that much. I quit after taking the first lesson few months ago. Highly recommend my so called "Teacher" to PRACTICE more before CHEATING the money out of customers. read more

Unitone is the most professional studio in the South Bay area. Siga is an incredibly helpful and honest person who is giving locals the opportunity to practice/record at full volume for a more than appropriate rate, given the size of these rooms. Studios are loaded with quality drums, mixers, PA systems, and a ton of soundproofing. His guitar tech work is fantastic and would highly recommend coming to him for his assistance with refret, pickup change, setup, and/or any work you need done to your guitar or bass. I even heard a rumour that shows might be happening in the near future here. Very interesting. Look no further, Unitone is the place to be. read more

I recently bought a used Ibanez PM35 archtop guitar from Unitone. The guitar is in great shape, exactly as described. After playing it for a couple of days, I found some small issues with the guitar. Siga was very happy to check the setup, do some fret leveling, put an alternate bridge in place and adjust the bridge and string height to correct the problems that I had found, all included in the original cost of the guitar. Siga is enthusiastic about his work, very friendly, and gets the work done when he says he will get it done. He was a real pleasure to work with and I'm very happy with the guitar. If you are looking for musical instruments, setup on an instrument, or music lessons, I recommend that you check out Unitone Music Studio. read more

Amazing rehearsal spot! Love the good quality rooms and top notch equipment in them. Place is new, and seems ready to handle small lesson type settings as well as full band, with drums (very pro!), amps, cabinets and PA speakers etc. BIG PLUS: the service we had was the best part of the experience..personable and helpful to the max! A place that goes above and beyond and deserves support/my future and continued business! Check it out! Thumbs way up!! read more

i and my friend want to learn drum playing there. we've waited almost 2 weeks and got no reply until we head to the store. and then the owner introduce us a lady as our instructor, and said $80/hour. after few days we are told by another friend that the instructor got only beginner/intermediate level and maybe less than 1 year experience ... read more

I brought in my strat along with parts for an upgrade. He went the extra mile to get the guitar as quiet as I wanted by adding copper tape. The guitar definitely plays and sounds better after the various services provided. The service and cost makes this a great option and value. read more

Siga might be the best guitar/bass luthier I have worked with. His is professional, knowledgeable, and could clarify what's going on with my gears rapidly. His attension to detail is beyond expectations, while the charge is so fair. I would recommend musicians in bay area give a try in his store, and u will be satisfied. read more

I am a regular customer to Siga's repair shop and rehearsal studio and can't say enough good things about his service! I first met him when my band came to his rehearsal studio. He took a look at my Chapman ML, immediately spot problems and did a great setup and maintenance job prior to my band's gig. I was spoiled by my LA guitar tech before I moved to SF and definitely not an easy customer to please, but Siga's skills and work ethic exceed every aspect of my expectation. Since then I've had him taking care of many of my axes, all great job without single bit of sloppiness. Whether you are a hobbyist or professional musician, check out Siga's shop if you need great service for your gears. read more

Siga is the nicest owner and runs a very cool studio. I like how he greeted us and showed us the practice room and helped us when we had questions about a tablet we were running through the mixer on some songs we were working on. He is also very personable and it's evident he values his clients and it greatly shows in his attitude and business acumen. One of the impressions, and the only chance you get to make a good one, is the first one. I got the feeling that Siga wants to help other musicians and students and he makes a great impression to that regard. Siga has set his studio, it's equipment and his business up right. Here's to much success! read more

I'm so glad I found this place. I wish I had found it two months ago! Siga does great work for a reasonable price and doesn't try to overcharge. He listens to what you need and makes recommendations based on your needs. I took my bass in for a simple fix and he had it completed the same day! This is my new go-to shop for all guitar repairs and I'll recommend it to all my fellow musicians. read more

This is a great place to rehearse. Quality rooms, gear, facilities. It is convenient and clean. Siga is probably one of the nicest people out there. There aren't many options for hourly rehearsal, other than at recording studios in the area. He has a good thing going and a good attitude. I really hope this is a success for Siga and he is able to grow and expand. Looking forward to next rehearsal read more

Siga is professional, knowledgeable, and conscientious. I brought in my US Breedlove Focus and it came out awesome. Plays great, intonation better, I think his attention to detail is beyond my experience with other luthiers. I've took my 06 Les Paul customer there today. I think bay area musicians would benefit from his prices, quick turn around and great results. I'm not super local (Livermore) but it's worth the trip in to get the great results. I have visited a couple of times since their grand opening, and I love it. Excellent gear and amazing rates for everything you need. What else could you ask for? Siga is the man and he keeps it real. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about music and equipment. They offer a few different practice studios, lesson rooms and gear rentals. And please don't forget that Unitone carries Earthquaker Devices and Jam effects pedals! I will be back again very soon! read more

I've had two of my guitars repaired at Unitone Music Studios. Siga, the owner and head luthier is very knowledgeable in all aspects of guitar repair and maintenance. I entrusted him with my 1988 Gibson Les Paul (my baby!!!) which had some shielding issues that he promptly took care of. He also noticed one of my tone pots was not behaving correctly and recommended I change that, which I had him do for me also performed flawlessly. The sound of the new tone pot on my Les Paul just rolls off the treble so nicely and smoothly and evenly that I'm going to have the Rhythm pickup tone pot replaced by Siga as well. He also rewired my Telecaster for me. I wanted to have it set up so that the volume knob was closest to the player ( opposite of the normal setup.) Siga noticed that the pickup's had been wired incorrectly. He wired them the correct way and now I don't get that weird out- of-phase sound in the middle position on the pickup selector anymore. Cool! I highly recommend Unitone Music Studios and Siga for guitar repair. His repairs are reasonably priced and on time. Next I'm going to have him rebuild my 1977 Fender Stratocaster. Frets, pickups, electronics, the whole shooting match ...I can't wait! read more

Just tried it out and this place is great. I'm just a drummer whose place is too small to have a kit, so I'm always looking for an hourly rehearsal studio and this is a great solution in the South Bay. 30 bucks for 2 hours isn't super cheap, but for the super clean room and the brand new 5-piece mapex kit, I'll take it every time. I'll definitely be back. This is legitimately the first review I've ever written on yelp, just because this is the type of place I want to see succeed. read more

Had an awesome experience here! Definitely will be going back! Vocal Rehearsal room had everything I needed!

Hands down the most professional rehearsal spot locally. It is super affordable, the equipment provided is of great quality and Siga is also the coolest dude ever and makes sure that you are taken care of during your time at the studio. 10/10 read more

I needed to restring an acoustic guitar in a hurry today and called Unitone to see if they can accommodate. The person who answered the phone was very helpful and friendly and it would be no problem. I'm glad I remembered this place existed here in this small shopping plaza (having walked by it a few times every time I was in the area to eat at a restaurant a few doors down). Not only were they able to restring my guitar very quickly, he cleaned/polished the whole guitar. It was like getting a brand new guitar back. Looked and sounded better than ever! Will always remember to come here for guitar maintenance and repair needs... read more
