I explained I had tried to postpone an appointment by calling several times yesterday and they never answered the 4 calls I made, neither did they return the calls. Initially, when making an appointment, same problem. They claim they are too busy but when tbere, there was hardly anyone tbere. The two receptionists in the front are rude, don't try to explain anything to them they'll talk over you to get the info they need. This is a chain of physical therapy places which I came to find out is little more than an insurance billing scam with a facade of human service. I found the unprofessional nature of multiple staff members to be less than desirable, and the caliber of this office to be akin to a factory farm-style patient processing conveyor belt. Indifferent treatment is not ideal for human beings recovering from wounds. On the plus side, they are still being careful about masking /COVID which helps prevent further infections from congregate settings. I received the standard wrong limb approach--when the therapist hasn't bothered to attentively read your chart so he starts treating the wrong foot. I allowed him to carry on and then gently inserted that he got the wrong limb, at which point he pulled the classic toddler move: blaming his co-worker for supposedly writing the wrong notes in my file. Does he really think we're not able to see through incompetence being papered over with lazy excuses? No adult responsibility in evidence here! Then there is the issue of verbal instructions about therapeutic exercises spoken in non-standard English/unique patois. Not all people can comprehend it easily, especially when you mumble and skip the physical demonstration of the movement, and sidle off to the office to check your email instead of doing patient observation. Some appointments lasted less than 15 minutes with gentle stretches only, and no massage to loosen stiff tissue in the leg. In other words, I was left with the sense that this shop is a sham for uncaring, shoddy treatment while invoicing and milking the insurance payout. I was verbally admonished for not doing my homework of exercises but at that point I had not been given any kind of handout with diagrammatic explanations of the therapeutic movements. I asked for one. They then gave me a set of instructions. I then took them home and started practicing ... It dawned on me that I should not allow them to get any more money from my insurance. I asked for a modification to go to a more professional outfit in Alhambra with conscientious and reputable workers. read more

I've been to the Glendale location and they've been mostly great. Carmen at the desk has been great and helpful. The "assessment" process (1st visit) unfortunately I got the impression that the person doing it really didn't want to be there, and didn't want to listen. Once I was scheduled for therapy appointments, it became clear that they need more physical therapists working. The person working with me was great, but literally had to run from patient to patient... set me up with e-stim - leave and work w/someone else and not get back to me until several minutes after the machine turned off... give me exercises to do and not stay to watch to be sure I was doing them correctly... but they really were trying, and apologized each time their focus was pulled away from me. Kind and caring doesn't cover it. But the company that owns the place needs to hire more people. ALSO: you don't always get to work with the same person, so each new person has to start from scratch with you. They look at notes, but don't know you and your body. -- as for the building itself... they validate parking BUT there is NO grace period, so, rather than concentrating on whatever you're doing, towards the end of your apointment time you end up watching the clock to be sure you have enough time to get out the door, down the elevator, to your car and out. And the garage attendant is about the rudest, most obnoxious person I've encountered in ages. read more

I been going here almost a year from tearing two ligaments in my knee. Every time I go I'm always treated with respect from the front desk to the therapist I'm working with. I honestly never had a problem with them they're always respectful. I'm currently still going here and every time I go I feel my knee getting stronger. I'm under worker comp and after getting surgery they sent me some where else that I wasn't happy. I've sung all my life. I've been working on music for a bit but when I had some voice problems, a laryngoscopy found I had a nodule and needed a tonsillectomy. After the tonsillectomy, I got referred here by that ENT. Well... When I got my authorizations, I called to make an appointment. But the outgoing message says that the voice mailbox is only for appointment cancellations. I left a message anyway because I want to start singing and speaking more comfortably as quickly as possible. The next day I call and I actually get someone on the line. She tells me that they heard my voicemail message. (Then why am I calling you? Why didn't you call me back?) (Actually, you got the authorization at the same time I did! I should have gotten a call from you to schedule my first appointment! That expresses to patients that a provider is concerned about their well-being.) She informed me that the speech therapist is in the space once a month and I missed her already. This is like February 7th, by the way. She proceeds to tell me that there's a waitlist for speech therapy until June. June? I've been waiting to get into speech therapy since my tonsillectomy in November and I finally got the authorization but I can't start until June? I call my ENT two weeks later and they're terribly confused by my treatment from a provider to which they referred me. When my ENT's office calls, they answer the phone... like the first time. And apparently, when I called the first time, they weren't on a waiting list? They were just annoyed that I left a voicemail on the appointment cancellation mailbox? So because I was proactive about my care, I got waitlisted. Oh, not just that. The young lady at my ENT's office informed me that I was not, in fact, on the wait list for the hell therapist and asked me if I wanted to be placed on. I asked to be put on the list as the only other location in the county is in Covina and I don't know where that is. I've decided to work an extra day each week so I can pay for speech therapy out of pocket because after reading these reviews and being mistreated by the front line of hospitality at a doctor's office, I wouldn't give these people my piss if they were on fire. Professionalism should be the minimum. But when people come to you for help with their health and you treat them as if they're bothering you, you need to get out of healthcare. If you don't like your job, quit. Also, I can't help but believe from all these negative reviews that the six people the doctors had positive interactions with are asked to post something good to counteract the bad service. Wouldn't be much easier to simply treat people and their time with respect? Then people would leave positive reviews organically. read more

My special thanks to: P.T. owner, Gundi Gunderson, P.T., Thomas, P.T.,and technicians: Carolina, and Annie. All were great, following treatment plan by Gundi. My foot and ankle pain are completely gone, stability and strength, almost 98% improved. Yay, I can walk again, and start to control my weight. I went last week to the evaluation to start my therapies, they gave me my appointments for this week. All good up to there. Since yesterday I've been calling and calling and they don't answer the phone, I leave a message and nobody answers. So I decided that I am not in good hands for my treatment, I left them a message to cancel the appointments I had and I prefer to tell my doctor to refer me to Bleu Physical Therapy. I was discouraged to go to this physical therapy location but since they had the first available appointment I gave up and decided to give it a try, well I can't say a lot about the treatment since I've been there only once so far and my issue is not serious but just the fact that front desk ladies were sweet and my therapist was nice, it makes me wanna go back, plus there was no wait so yes experience in person rather than judge by the cover plus keep your own energy cool even when you're in pain and you'll receive it back, good Update: I just finished 11 appointments at this place and now I can tell you for sure that the front desk people are actually been very nice and great at scheduling my appointments when I wanted and picking up calls so it's not true the other negative comments about them being rude, the reason why I decided to not go back for my last session is a woman who was my therapist last time, (I didn't like that I had to have someone new and explain to her everything again), plus she was very unprofessional with her comments and I had to leave in the middle of session bc I was uncomfortable, I didn't say anything to her bc I'm respectful so I just thanked her saying I'm leaving ... it's just she shared personal things I didn't want to know ect... Annie and Pocky are good tho, no one is really trained perfectly here but it's not bad, just good in my experience, I couldn't expect any better with my insurance anyway .. If there was a negative rating for this location that's what they would get. By far the most unexperienced, rude, unqualified office I have ever been to. My son who is 4 years old needed speech therapy and unfortunately was referred to this office with therapist named Rosemary. It was clearly a waste of our time for almost 6 weeks. The lack of communication with her was beyond unacceptable. The staff at this office misplaced my son's file and and nobody had an explanation for this. Instead they had me run around back to my sons doctor, calling my insurance company and told me I needed to obtain the referral letter again when it was clearly their mistake! They had no idea where it was. That was a big red flag but I was trying to maintain optimistic in hopes that these therapy sessions would be helpful for my son. If you are a parent looking for speech therapy DO NOT COME TO THIS OFFICE. This place should really be shut down for the lack of experience and lack of customer service. If it wasnt for the kind therapist inside i wouldnt return... i recommend having your Primary schedule all of your appointments in advance. You will always get voicemail and attitude when calling. They interrupt your reason for calling, transfer your call to "Casey" so she can recommend you to call ONLY every 30 mins because thats when there's "down time"... i personally recommend setting up all your appointments thru your primary. It seems that most (if not all) reviews for the speech department are due to terrible experiences or service. I would give this place zero stars, if possible. I called various times in mid-May for a speech evaluation appointment for my daughter. No one answers the phones and your only option is to leave a voicemail. However, after leaving a voicemail, no one returns your call. I sent an email to what seemed like a central hub and they sent an email to this office. The following day I received a call back. The person calling could not answer any questions regarding availability and stated that she would give me a call at the end of that month to provide me with possible evaluation appointments for June. (Mind you, it's May 22nd and they still don't have a schedule to make appointments for June.) Come May 29th, no call back so I call the office several times but no answer. The following day I called... and called. Finally, after my 6th call, someone answers. This person insinuated she was not affiliated with the speech department and stated that our info is already on a waiting list and we'd have to wait for a phone call in July to provide me with their next availability for a speech evaluation. Both instances I asked each person if they could provide me with an idea of what the current schedule is like and when my daughter could possibly be seen for an evaluation, but they have no answer whatsoever. The only info they provided was that appointments are only available on Saturdays and Sundays; however, the answer to when we could possibly expect an opening (July? August? I loved this place! Liz who is at the front desk, along with Casey who is at the front desk and who is in addition a Therapist Aide are efficient, very nice and friendly. All the rest of the staff such as Therapist Aides, Rosario, Carolina, and Marie Lou are extremely caring, patient and work very well with their patients, to accelerate their healing! They recently moved to 500 N. Central Ave. Ste #440 Glendale, CA 91203, less than a block away from their original address. The new location is spacious and there is plenty of parking available in the building. Parking is validated for 90 minutes, which is very helpful! Tom, who is the Head Physical Therapist, is the greatest! He is extremely knowledgeable about physiology and certainly knows what area of the body to massage, exercise, or manipulate. This is my first visit to this location. I was amazed how professional the staff was. My appointment was at 8:30 and I was was seen right away. Once I was with the therapist, she made me really comfortable and assured me the therapy will not be painful. Since this was my first time, I wasn't sure what to expect but she explained everything to me and was willing to answer my thousand questions. I was skeptical at first but the staff made me really comfortable and treated me like I belonged there. All in all, I give it two thumbs up. By the way, don't park at McDonald's downstairs. I had approval for 18 sessions in total, since November, 2018, it was really hard to work with the receptionist, because she only give one appointment at the time, she said it was my schedule she cant work with it because there is so many patients, why she take more patients, I requested early schedule but at the time I came for one session the schedule was pack, I ask her today to call my insurance to have an extension, now an other excuse, if you have 12 sessions you have to go back to the doctor, I dont have doxtor, he quit for the network, I dont want to argue with her, because if she dont wants nothing happen.
