Visited before COVID-19 I injured my arm and I got authorization from my insurance to go to PT (physical therapy). My authorization was initially to go for therapy in DTLA where I previously went (LOVED that place), but due to time restrictions and distance, I chose to go somewhere closer to my job. Bad decision. At first I liked coming here because my appointments were always on time, free parking, small but clean/boring waiting room, the few rooms that they have were kind of small but looked clean, and the staff was nice, but as my sessions progressed, I noticed differences in comparison to the other place I went to which I found to be quite lacking. During my 12 visits, I was seen only three times by what appeared to be the only DPT (main therapist in charge). At the other place, I was seen EACH TIME I had an appointment ( there were more DPTs) after I worked with the PT aide. It's VERY important to be seen by the DPT because the DPT is the one who can adjust your therapy exercises as needed in order to fit your needs to accomplish your physical goals. Don't get me wrong, the student followed the directions given to her by the DPT, but I felt that some of the exercises that she made me do weren't helping me progress in order to increase my ROM (range of motion). The PT aide who saw me twice made adjustments to my therapy and I thought she was good. Would I go back? Preferably not. Better to choose quality of care. They accept Regal, Health Care Partners, and other medical groups.

Today was the inaugural day of their new location: 3610 San Fernando Blvd. I put on my yoga pants and left super early, so I wouldn't be deterred by traffic or parking issues. I arrived at 2:15 for my 3:00 pm appointment. Guess what? THERE IS NO PARKING!!! They are located between two tiny side streets, Rosslyn and Dolores; bumper-to-bumper parking already in place, probably employees of the industrial businesses there who grabbed the few spaces at 5:00 a.m. San Fernando Blvd.? Plenty of parking *across the street* from Stay Ready, 10 or so blocks south of the nearest light and crosswalk at Glendale and San Fernando, so if you park there, either risk your life darting across the boulevard, or walk half a mile to the crossing, then half a mile back to Stay Ready. After repeatedly circling around and going up and down the side streets again and again, at 2:32 I called from my cell and left a message detailing the above. I said was leaving. Ha! When I got home, they had left ME a message saying, "Did you forget your 3:00 pm appointment?" I returned the call and...let's just say I'm sure they're happy they'll never get my business again. Sadly, I saw them located on the corner (of Rosslyn), with pretty new spiffy A-Frame signs on the sidewalk, announcing they're open for business. I'll bet they were high with anticipation for the launch of their new digs. I am sure it's gorgeous inside...if you ever make it inside. Whoever made this location decision needs to be...well, gentle reader, I'll leave the punishment to your imagination.

In 2024 I had an issue with my shoulder rotator cuff from overuse in the gym. After a month of PT and exercises I got full use of my shoulder and no more pain, even to this day. More recently I went back to Kevin in August 2025 because I had pain on my left leg from training for my first full marathon. After getting an MRI I found out that I had a stress reaction on my left femur. Under Kevin's guidance I stopped running for 5 weeks to give my leg time to properly heal. I missed my peak training period, but instead supplemented with PT sessions & exercises, strength-training and low-impact cardio. Three weeks prior to the marathon I was given the all clear to start running again. I cannot thank Kevin & Ryan for fixing me just in time to be able to run my first marathon in October! Any time anyone asks for a PT recommendation, I point them to Kevin. He really cares for his clients and wants to see them succeed. Many of my friends have gone to him for their PT needs. He knows what he's doing and he's the consummate professional, as well as the entire staff. If I'm in need for physical therapy again, there's no one else I trust.

I was initially skeptical, since I had gone to 2 physical therapists prior. Bart identified the root cause of my hamstring injury, and tailored a physical therapy program to build strength and balance. After several months of therapy, the hamstring pain vanished and I was able to resume my normal workout routine - running. What sets Bart apart from other physical therapists is his expertise, creativity in developing customized therapy plans, and genuine care about his patients wellbeing. I have several physical ailments that accompany pain and nervous system dysregulation. I initially went to her for a myofascial message, but soon after she suggested I would benefit more from craniosacral therapy. I wish I could describe how such a light touch therapy works so well, but I cannot. All I can say is that, in Mel's hands, craniosacral therapy has given me pain reduction, nervous system calming, and overall physical and mental relief, in a way no other physical or mental therapy has ever given me. And, I have done years of physical therapy, acupuncture, meditation, mental therapy, regular message, etc. She's so intuitive that sometimes she narrows into working on problem areas I didn't even know were spasmed or clogged until she releases them. I leave feeling like I've been in a meditative state, but better. The calmness and physical relaxation last longer with each session. What started as a few hours of relief, has extended to days, and sometimes weeks. She helped me learn how to unconsciously relax my own system, and reduce the muscle spasms, brain fog, anxiety and other issues that come with it. With her help, I'm managing several physical chronic conditions that literally had disabled me for over a decade before I found her. She's helped me both through crises, and simply to maintain equilibrium in my system. In addition, she's such a kind and smart person. I cannot recommend Mel's services highly enough.
