I have tried all types of modalities to repair my trigger finger and lower back strain. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, regular stretching with yoga, chiropractic, and acupuncture. I love this place and go every month for a little tune up. I first went to Dr. Gassia when I injured my lower back at work. My injurywas so bad, I couldn't stand up straight. She placed me on a massage bed to warm up and relax my muscles and tailor the adjustment to my needs. My boyfriend treatmentd included an adjustment and massage, so he appericates it is all in one building. Lastly, I have PPO and my boyfriend has HMO. Dr. Gassia is AMAZING!! I came in for my first appointment to get help with pain in my lower back and tailbone area. I was in bed the day before with severe pain in my tailbone and could barely move. I was literally crawling to get around my house. During my appointment, Dr. Gassia went over my symptoms with me and really took the time to listen to what was going on. She was very professional and patient. After the consultation, she gave me an adjustment that helped my back relax and she gave me recommendations on how to keep my back from tensing back up. My back felt so much better the next day and I was back to walking around and doing what I need to do for work. Dr. Gassia also referred me to a cryotherapy center for further treatment. This review is for massage only. That was literally the worst massage of my life. I don't think Jim has ever given a prenatal massage before. I feel like I just wasted an hour getting rubbed with oil and laying in my back for the second half of the massage and now my lower back hurts!! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO LEAVE A MASSAGE WORSE THAN YOU CAME IN. I'm so angry. I came here for a prenatal massage two years ago, I don't remember the female masseuse's name, but that was great which is why I came back now that I'm pregnant again. Great Chiro Care, Glendale or otherwise... I have been to many chiropractor offices, since my move to Burbankand I'm glad I finally found this place. The doctors here are excellent, so great that when my 16 year old son had a sports injury I immediately took him to see Dr Yulia and Dr. Gassia. They have made a world of difference in his health. We found that his back responds best to the clicker rather than straight manual adjustments. It doesn't look like it is doing anything but he swears by it... This is my happy place! I've been coming here for about 10 years I think. They are all so kind and caring. They've helped me through a really painful shoulder injury and a back injury. I have a severe and debilitating lower back disease that prevents me from getting normal adjustments. Dr. Gassia helped me through my entire pregnancy, and then after the baby she continued to help my body adjust back to normal. She even adjusted our 6 month old, which helped him sleep and have regular bowel movements again (he was having some sleeping issues due to gas and some constipation). I woke up this morning with a dislocated ribhead due to an aggressive massage. My father is a chiropractor so I knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Now to find a chiropractor that was a) covered by my insurance and b) able to see me right away. I called GCC and explained what was wrong and they fit me in immediately. I saw Dr. Bob Whittet and he was amazing. He listened to me and after adjusting me, I was immediately free of pain! I literally walked in cradling my left arm which was in pain and out of whack into this place. I told the sweetheart receptionist that I needed help, mentioned how Yelp told me this was the closest place, and they immediately got me set up to be fixed. It was AWESOME. I had no idea what chiropractors entailed (aka ALL THE CRACKING) but the process was so smooth and relaxing that I was able to calm down and not be nervous. Turns out it wasn't my shoulder but actually my rib cage! They fixed me up right away and I walked away feeling so damn good, I'm still in shock. I'm going to see them again to focus on my lower back next time instead of my one arm. They're awesome, I want them to now fix everything else hahaha. Oh, and I didn't have insurance so I was expecting it to be super expensive but it was SO well priced that I walked away feeling it was worth every penny to feel that good again. Thanks, you guys! I have been a patient of Dr. John Ciambotti for over 10 years seeing him for chiropractic adjustments and overall skeletal advice and treatment. I had a complex cervical fusion years ago due to a football injury and not many specialists were comfortable treating me, nor I being treated by them. Dr. John's approach is not like many chiropractors I have seen over 25 years of dealing with my condition. Dr. John and his partner in the practice, Dr. Gassia Titizian, have a homeopathic approach and address issues from a overall muscular, skeletal and energetic perspective. One aspect of the body doesn't function independent of another - a fault of many chiropractors that seem to give the profession a bad name. I was very impressed at how Dr. John works so well with not only my primary care physician but also with my orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist. He is truly interested in my getting beyond the pain and will do (or not do) whatever it takes for me to find the pain relief I seek. I've been to his office before where upon assessing my current condition he has told me that my body "doesn't want to be adjusted today let's take it easy and ice it, or go in for a massage." Recently Dr. John and Dr. Gassia moved from their location in Toluca Lake to a newly remodeled and inviting facility staffed with only a few professionals who have a passion for making patients feel welcomed and at home and most importantly, helping them become pain-free. Upon arriving at Glendale Chiro Care, you are greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable receptionist who welcomes you, offers refreshments and lets your doctor know you have arrived. The facility has more of a relaxing spa feel than a doctor's office. Dr. John being a former professional musician, has appropriately, yet tastefully accented the office with one of his bass guitars in the waiting room (ironically the same color as the logo of the practice) and multiple silver, gold and platinum albums on the walls from his years with Huey Lewis, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, just to name a few. One thing very refreshing to me was when the doctor was ready to see me, he came to the lobby himself to take me back to the treatment room. This was a very small thing but made my visit even more personal and I felt as though they were truly interested in my being there. The rooms are nice and roomy, very clean, and have mood lighting and music (great for receiving massage, acupuncture, etc.). Reiko Aoo, the acupuncturist is phenomenal and has a unique, slightly more "aggressive" style than others. She explains that she prefers to treat the root problem which in turn treats the symptoms - common sense? yes, of course, but not the course of treatment I personally have experienced with other acupuncturists. The massage therapists Danielle and Hillary are some of the best around! I have literally had hundreds of massages in my 25 years of back treatments and they are two of the best I've experienced. Book appointments with them early as they stay quite busy! I recently went in for a massage, acupuncture treatment and chiropractic adjustment with Dr. John and left feeling like new. Overall, the feel, the vibe, the energy (call it what you like) of Glendale Chiro Care, coupled with the professional, personal treatments makes this facility, in my opinion, one of the best in LA!
