Since I didn't need a full slab, he even went with me to the boneyard to help find the right remnant, which saved me money without sacrificing quality. He gave me a great deal and made the entire process simple from start to finish. Everyone I worked with was professional. The team that came out to create the template, the installers, and the crew that returned to seal the countertops were all friendly, showed up on time, and did excellent work. After visiting two other countertop companies, I realized this was the place I should have gone to from the beginning. The customer service, pricing, and quality of the work were all outstanding. I drove across Albuquerque to their retail store on Paseo. According to their website they are open 10am-5pm. A sign on the door said they were open 10am - 4pm. I arrived at 3:40pm and the store was locked up. I had to call 3 numbers before I spoke to someone who said they were shorthanded and she needed to pick up her son. She suggested I come back on another time. Wrong answer. If you post hours for your establishment you should be sure you remain open during those hours so as not to waste your customers' time. If the retail store is run so haphazardly, I'm betting the rest of the. Operation is as well. I'll find another quartz fabricator from among the many such companies in ABQ. read more

Very disappointed in this store and will not go back. We have a 45x23 guest bath countertop to replace. A small project for one of their remnants. Mary ghosted me at the yard. I left a message for her that she never returned. Rico found a piece of stone and quoted a price that was reasonable. I sent an email to Mary to which she never responded. I finally got a text from her with an inflated price for the job. Their remnants are not discounted as implied on their website and their fees for cut outs are inflated. They also add in a trip charge of $85. I am also aware of a bait and switch move by Curt that he did with a friend. There are positive reviews in 2023, but it seems their business model has changed. read more

My granite countertops are gorgeous. They're my favorite part of my new kitchen. United Stoneworks/Curt Richter was great to work with. They do beautiful work. I had an small issue with the area behind my sink and Beau came out in 2 days to make repairs. He went above and beyond what was necessary. Beau was very knowledgeable and friendly. So basically this row of showrooms off I-25 avoid if you want professional help. Me and my mom came into check out and receive samples for a quartz countertop. A woman did show us where the quartz was and left us to browse. She emphasized where the cheaper quartz was, which we didn't pay any mind to. We picked out three samples of quartz, and asked for prices and samples to take home. Immediately she tells us that two of the pieces we picked were "really expensive". Okay, well what exactly does that mean? You didn't ask our budget? Expensive to one person can be moderate to another. She didn't give us our samples and never actually gave us pricing. Were you being prejudice or just stupid? Needless to say we went to Rocky Mountain Stone to purchase our "expensive" countertop (same brand as the one you didn't wanna help us with) read more

We had a great experience with United Stoneworks! They were friendly, easy to deal with, efficient and were able to get our install done more quickly than they had originally told us. I went into the store to gather information that would help me design my kitchen countertop. I agree with Samantha G that this is a place to avoid if you want professional help. No masks, disorganized explanations, extraneous and irrelevant information not about what I wanted, and repeated comments about, "What's your budget?" The salesperson could not clearly articulate a hierarchy of price range in the products, nor could he clearly identify the strengths and weaknesses comparatively of the products in the store. The person speaking with me got a phone call, "About a job" he whispered, and proceeded to ignore me and attend to the call. I left and will not return. Samantha G wondered if it were racism; I'm a white woman in her 50's dressed neatly and I also received poor service. Maybe they do a good job with installation, but I never got to that point and am not interested in moving forward with this company. read more

I recently decided it was time to update my kitchen and bathrooms. I called quite a few Granite places to get quotes. I even called the $49.00 a sq ft people, and I found that United Stoneworks was the best bang for my buck. I worked with both Curt and Mary and their great team. There were a few communication issue were something I discussed with one person wasn't communicated to the installers, but they fixed every issue. My kitchen looks great and the quality of the work of installing was fantastic. I would totally go with United Stoneworks again! read more

We have never written a review before but feel compelled to do so because the reason we went to United Stoneworks to begin with was all the great reviews. Our project was a complete disaster! To put this in perspective, we have had significant experience with contractors in the past few years as we have installed new flooring in four bedrooms, re-stuccoed the parapets, added two brick patios, replaced 16 windows, painted the house inside and out, and had a solar system installed on the roof. All of these projects were very positive experiences and nothing at all like dealing with United Stoneworks. There is a huge communication problem between the sales representatives, schedulers, and installers. No one managed the project from beginning to end and the only way we got any updates, confirmations or information at all was by calling the company ourselves. The counter top we ordered was on back order which is understandable but no one could tell us how long that would be - days, weeks, a month? They insisted on sending a team out to the house on February 2nd to tear out the old counter tops which left us with a "temporary" exterior grade plywood counter tops not knowing how long it would be until installation. As it turned out it would be over a month (March 10th) with the kitchen torn up, everything in boxes and getting splinters from the rough plywood. When they finally came back they struggled with the installation leaving an obvious gap in the pieces right at the sink in plain sight and they drilled the holes for the new faucet in the new counter top in the wrong place! Measure twice and cut once - oh no not these guys. The holes are off just enough that the new faucet was installed with random metal filler pieces from the hardware store to kind of finagle it to sit level. In summary, very poor communication, scheduling a complete mystery, never on time (hours late- plan on taking the whole day off), and shoddy workmanship. The only upside is we love the counter top material but that can be purchased at a dozen places in town. Proceed at your own risk but know when they get the check they are gone! read more

United Stoneworks just completed our counter installation, and they look beautiful. We had a difficult time at first with lack of communication from the company employees, and we had some frustrating experiences with improper sizing and cutting, which led to an extended delay in the installation. However, I'm giving them four stars because once we finally talked to the right person - the co-owner of the company - we were incredibly satisfied with the customer service as well as the final product. The owner was genuinely concerned that we had had a bad experience and he did everything in his power to correct it. In addition, he seems to have thoroughly researched the root of the problem and he's working hard to make sure no delays like ours happen again. We now have a beautiful, pristine counter, and I'm confident the craftsmanship is the best we could have gotten anywhere. read more
