They all had the matching granite, but Design Alliance was the least expensive and the most helpful. They sent someone out to measure, and within a week we had our new countertop installed by their staff, who were all just amazing. It looks great and really "finishes" the kitchen. I arrived at 3:40pm and the store was locked up. I had to call 3 numbers before I spoke to someone who said they were shorthanded and she needed to pick up her son. She suggested I come back on another time. Wrong answer. If you post hours for your establishment you should be sure you remain open during those hours so as not to waste your customers' time. If the retail store is run so haphazardly, I'm betting the rest of the. Operation is as well. I'll find another quartz fabricator from among the many such companies in ABQ.

Fortunately we were able to get everything resolved to our satisfaction. About 15 months after we moved in, the kitchen sink fell out from under the counter. It was glued in with some flimsy wood for support. When we contacted Trussels about getting this fixed they said they only guarantee their workmanship for 1 year so they would charge us $450. Basically, they have shoddy workmanship and then demand an exorbitant price to fix it.

I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the…read morecrew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring. Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job. Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect. The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired. Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring. I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

Sales persons Dusty and Alex who visited our home to assess the work. Dusty provided us with a very reasonable and fair price for the project. We needed to address water stains from a 2023 roof leak in three ceiling areas, as well as hairline cracks from the house settling over the last 22 years. The team arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. Chris, the Crew Leader, clearly explained the work plan and how the team would proceed. Matt, the Lead Painter, along with Alexis and Kay, worked exceptionally well together. Their attention to detail was evident, and the final result is beautiful. Furthermore, when we decided to add two additional walls to the project, Matt provided an estimate immediately and the team transitioned into that work without a hitch. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome. The team finished, cleaned up, and packed away all supplies by 2:30 PM. I hired Chris through Thumbtack several months ago to handle a list of small household repairs…read more Most of them were done adequately on the first visit. One of the tasks was simply to loosen a handle on a guest bathroom faucet that was secured too tightly. After working on it, Chris informed me that I needed a new faucet. I accepted his verdict and arranged for him to return and install it. (I ordered a new one which he picked up). He came back and installed it, but said that it should not be used for a few days. I was leaving town and had house sitters. They waited to use it and upon first use there was a major leak affecting the sink, toilet and shower. I contacted Chris and scheduled a time for him to return while I was gone, but he didn't show up for the app't. When I texted him, he said it wasn't his fault and that I'd need to get a plumber. I did so and it was a very expensive repair involving cutting into the wall. When I returned, I noticed that the spout on the faucet was very loose and had not been securely fastened. I sent Chris a video illustrating the loose spout and he denied responsibility. After an interchange, he agreed to come back when it was convenient for him. After several weeks I inquired again. Chris then decided he was not going to come back at all, but would offer a refund within 30 days. At the end of the month, I asked if he would be sending the refund and, after another unpleasant interchange, he decided he would not be sending a refund. This has been an unnecessarily complicated and unsatisfactory transaction and I am left having to pay another person to make the repair. I never asked for a refund...I only wanted the install to be corrected. Chris threatened me with legal action if I wrote a negative review. I am refraining from using any negative adjectives, but will simply say that I cannot recommend him. This is a simplified, understated review, just trying to stick to facts. I have a thorough email trail that backs up the entire transaction. Let me add that Chris put a new screen door in my kitchen that was supposed to be pet resistant. It pulled out of the framing within days. Rather than return to repair it, he offered a 3/4 percent refund. I accepted it, but need a new screen. This refund had nothing to do with the plumbing/faucet episode.

Really transformed our new back patio and torn down and replace the front porch which had a leak going back years. Tom brought in quality contractors for work Groff doesn't do themselves. Julian for demo, stucco and cement. I could tell Tom and Groff's reputation during inspections and coordinating with others really paid off. This is our 2nd big Groff project at two different homes in ~ 20 years and although we shopped this around, Groff clearly was the right choice!

I had no problems with my kitchen granite. It looks great. I had to pick out 3 different types of granite for my master bathroom as they dropped and broke my first two selections. This did not effect me cost wise, but time wise, I had to return to their store and make another selection. They made up for this by allowing me to select a premium grade remnant and charged me the same price as the lesser grade of granite that I had previously selected. They installed the counter top and it looks great. I highly recommend this company and should I need additional granite I will certainly visit them again. An added bonus is that they are located about a block from Arizona Tile.

The crews for the installation of the carpet and wood flooring were great (I used a friend for the tile installation.)
