I went to the USC post office on Hampton Street in Columbia. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The employee was most knowledgeable, efficient, polite and pleasant. This post office is open daily from 8am to 2pm and walk ins are welcome all day. PS: The Lexington County Clerk office no longer does passport applications despite what is documented on their website.

Even when a formal hold is submitted, carriers do not always adhere to it. The carriers may still continue to deliver mail daily. I have been using this location for a long time, and it has had the same issues for many years. Other locations in the area seem more reliable.
